LISTEN Studio Kyoto

You can use LISTEN Studio, which also serves as LISTEN’s office, as a recording studio or a small event space. Why not host your podcast recordings or events while enjoying the unique atmosphere of Kyoto?

Highlights of LISTEN Studio

What You Can Do at LISTEN Studio

  • Record podcasts, both public and private
  • Record video podcasts
  • Host small events (approx. 10–15 people)

Usage & Fees

  • Fee: ¥3,000 per hour

  • Audio Interfaces: MOTU M6, AUDIENT iD44mk2 (supports up to 4 microphones)
  • Each input has a level meter for easy gain adjustment
  • Recorder: ZOOM F3 Field Recorder (please bring a micro SD card for your recording)
  • Monitor Headphones: CLASSIC PRO CPH7000, SONY MDR-7506
  • Microphones:
    • SHURE SM7B ×3 (warm sound with rich bass, popular among podcasters)
    • SHURE SM58 ×5 (classic dynamic microphone used in karaoke and live venues)
    • SENNHEISER e935 ×1
    • SENNHEISER e945 ×1
  • Mic Stands: 5 small stands
  • Acoustic Panels: AURALEX Studiofoam Wedges2, NiCSo Twofold

Notes

  • Studio visits and usage are only possible during hours when LISTEN staff are available.
