He's going to call me. We put him on speaker.
Okay, so there he goes.
Yes, alright. Good morning, guys.
Morning, sir.
Hey, yeah, we were unsure if you had fully set upover there
for in-person meeting, and then, you know,
as time got closer, I just decided to try to
keep it clean. So, yeah, thank you
for your flexibility.
Okay, so we'll be having our
QC meeting agenda, number one for today.
So, we are at 19.43 for the
schedule, then we are
15.51% in actual. There's a variance
of almost 4%, so this is due to
our concern on the ceiling plenum. Then, also
including the excavation works on the enclosurearea
because of the telephone line underneath the
area for the chiller
enclosure. So, basis for the
percentage is we are done with the QAQC
MUM, so dated June 12.
Then, resume project and mobilize June 24.
We are ongoing with the existing
condition check. We're almost done with the
site survey, but access to
this security area
limits us to completely
do the 100% for this item.
Regarding also the removal of
ceiling for the second floor, we are at 30%.
Then, for the excavation work, since we have issueregarding
the telephone line,
we are at 50%. So, for
our agenda for today,
site survey of
existing conditions result. Actually,
we are almost done with the
site survey, but it limits us with
the security area. So, we
need to ask when we will be
having the access for that to secure
the completion of site survey.
As you know, I sent this morning
about the information of our AC.
I got a cadence. He said about
as much as possible to get that information
so the progress to enter the security area.
And Mr. Cromer had
sent some additional follow-up on Friday the 17thabout
confirming names of AC electrical team.
There's two names. Are you guys tracking that one?
I missed that one person, too, also. So, thismorning
that person's information, I sent to him.
We'll see that situation, sir.
Regarding site survey as well,
I also had
I'm still catching up on my emails, but I hadnoticed you guys
had sent something out about the telecom room wasbeing locked.
Has that been taken care of?
Actually, sir, we have
it is, until today, it is closed.
We have only one concern on that area since
we're going to install
an additional wall adjacent to
that telecom area inside the
open storage. So, for the new
mechanical room on that area, we'll be installing
a new wall which is adjacent to the telecom
room. So, we need to access the
telecom room to know what items will be affected
if we're going to start doing the works.
Yes.
Yes, they do. I got copies of them.
I'll bring them to you once I'm done here.
No, no, it's not like right away.
Just for my reference.
He responded
and he's tracking that, so when I sent him anemail,
I'm aware of progress with it.
Regarding the telecom room,
since we are coordinating this with
the DOR, the KIOA, since
our subcontractor for the works
architectural, they're proposing
to do cash-in-place instead
of using CMU on that wall for the new mechanicalroom.
So, we are in coordination
with the KIOA team, so
we really need
to do the site survey as soon as possible.
We have access to that area.
Right after this meeting, I'm going to go speak to
the facility manager, see if we can get the dooropen
today or later.
Hey, I've been dating me to
draft up some sort of serial letter
at the Air Force about having
something that would be more efficient
or something of that nature, coordination
related to this stuff, because
the project just started and it's like a cluster
of you know what, and
we just cannot be having this type of
situation throughout the project.
Right, yeah, it would probably be best if we dothat, yeah.
Okay. I'll just get with
Jesse or Evan of you know how
to respectfully do that
and try to sugarcoat it so we don't hurt
anybody's feelings. Right. Okay. We just had our
meeting, it's in progress, like you guys have
submitted those names
and ID cards and this is getting taken
care of, because you know it kind of goes bothways, like
if we have expectations of both players in this
to you know make sure that
processing everything efficiently, you know youguys
have to be doing that on your end as well.
You see all the, are you sure
that all the names are in? I just wanted to checkthat, yeah,
every name. Any name that is Mr. Bones.
Okay, yeah, they say that
they got all the names that are Mr. Bones
that needs to, so they can get an accent.
Okay, our request is just
you know just some patience and flexibility
but also make sure that the time lag that
some of this stuff requires to you know make sureyou guys are
handling everything efficiently on your end.
Regarding the other items that we can work on
outside the security area, we're doing it
but since we are done with the site survey outsidethe security
area, we're most likely to
really need it as soon as it's available,
like the access to it, yeah.
We'll talk to Mr. Osano and we'll see about
getting this room open today until you guys get inthere.
It's a combination wall right? Yeah, somethinglike that.
A lot, okay, alright. Somebody's gotta have the
combination or something. Also doesn't that bringup the
topic related to the side gate outside, has thatbeen
has that came to any kind of
resolution as far as that way you guys
get regular access to that side gate during workand operation?
Yeah, same concern with that gate.
I would also talk to them about their
side gate.
Also, just an additional, there's also one room
that is still closed, first floor.
Which room is that?
Is that the heritage room?
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Which room is that?
Close to the one that
has separate access. Oh, this room right here?
Oh, that door.
Some kind of mechanical closet room or something?
Can you text this
picture to me? That way I can show
that door here.
Except for that door, every door is open.
So, just to put all
the rooms, telecom room,
then the gate,
then close to the room 104,
then the security area.
That will be the pending, we don't have
access.
And for the second floor,
we can't do anything until we get all those names
vetted, so we just gotta wait on that one.
It's just a waiting game.
So, as for our next
item, regarding the telephone line concern on
proposed chiller enclosure area,
last week, Monday,
we had a site survey with DOR
to discuss what we, since
when we started the excavation, there are
concrete encasements underneath the proposed area
for the enclosure, so
we informed them that this is the status and
how would they want it to proceed since
it will really
stop the work since the area
it is actually, the location
of the concrete
pad, that's the specific location
of the area on that existing encasement
for the telephone line, I guess. So, they are
thinking of moving the chiller enclosure
somewhere to the left or move forward
just to proceed, but
we'll give you feedback once
Kiowa already provided their final decision
for the design. So, this one probably
gonna need to do an RFI for that one? Yes.
What you need to do?
He said he's making the plan, so send it to
Kiowa. Okay, good. That's the best way to do thatone.
Send an RFI with your
plan, your course of action, the best course ofaction.
But as for the telephone line itself,
we already have coordination
with the user.
That's our user.
Here's the user.
...
Yeah, they said they need a meeting with
relating to this telephone line.
Do we already know who we need to do that?
Who's responsibility for, you know, the buildingabout
the telephone line?
Mr. Zala, he's the one responsible for thatbuilding
for building P4457. He's the one we need to talkto.
Yeah, we need to talk to him. Talk to him
about the telephone line and all that. And then hecan direct
it to the shop. Whichever shop takes care of that.
So, we can try to schedule a meeting
with him.
Because if we're gonna remove
it and reinstall it, we need to finalize the area
and when.
...
So, when you started excavation,
that's when you figured out there was a concretelocation?
Yes. Actually, I think I have a photo of that.
This one, sir.
Is that for, you're not sure what that is? Is itfor water lines?
No, it should be for the telephone line.
Oh, it's the telephone line, right.
So, we probably shouldn't mess with that.
Probably a comm line, too.
Communication line. Probably shouldn't mess withthat.
Hey, Matt.
Yeah, you heard that, right?
No, not really. It sounds like when they wereexcavating, they ran into a
concrete encasement. It looks like it's for
either a comm line or telephone line.
And so, that's exactly where the
location for the new chiller pad.
It's exactly on there.
So, they're going to do an RFI
to figure out what to do.
Either change location or to the side of it.
But they have a plan. They're going to send itwith an RFI.
Okay. I'm a little bit unsure, you know, beingdesign build.
So, when they do the RFI, that just goes straightto their designer then?
They're just coordinating the most appropriate
solution and then we still
have to buy off on it.
I'm going to send you the picture so you'll havereference for it.
Okay. He's going to send a picture and everything
so we'll have reference.
So, moving on to the next item. Removal of
user stored items within work area.
As per the last email,
I guess
the one doing it is doing other work for now.
So, all those items will be
there for a while.
We've been discussing this issue. It's an ongoing
discussion. We're trying to get this
settled.
Your guys' time impact has been noted and I'mtrying
to find, because we just did some training on this
as well, of what requirements are needed from you
guys to justify the time. Because
first and foremost, you guys have to show that itaffects your critical path.
So, you guys got to show that on your schedulethat this
is going to affect your critical path.
Minutes in November will be helpful in taking careof a service contract
or some other...
Moving on. The next item, it was
already discussed, like the room access on lockeddoors,
locked rooms.
Our
next item, utility power outage.
This is regarding the connection
temporary power for our temporary
site office. It is set on August 15.
I guess that's
the remaining item for our
temporary area.
So, moving on for our three-week
schedule.
Before you move on, let me ask you.
August 15, that was already approved by theelectrical shop and everything?
Yes. Okay, good.
設計・施工上の懸念事項と品質管理
And that's on Saturday?
Yes, that's Saturday.
So, moving on to our three-week
schedule.
As for the first item, for Clean 1,
for existing condition check, we are still
ongoing since
we don't have still access for that security area.
That's why it is continuous.
For the next item, removal of
ceilings.
It's still ongoing.
Then for the removal of
items for mechanical, electrical, and fire,
and also IT, we'll be starting
on the 23rd.
It will start on the second floor.
Yes. Then as for the
Clean 2, new works.
This is regarding the chiller enclosure.
We started the excavation. Since we have concerns,we might have to
stop again for
revision of the proposal.
We might have to adjust the schedule for this.
Then as for the preparatory and initial,
we already did
the demolition and earthwork last week.
Okay.
You guys did a preparatory without us?
I told them they can
because we were going to be at that class lastweek.
Since I didn't want to hold them up,
I told them they can. All they had to do was sendme the
agendas. Just as long as you're
tracking it. I support your
decision.
Thanks for that.
Thank you for doing that.
Thank you, sir.
We have actual
photos on that day doing those preps.
I might have to send it to you for
reference.
Regarding that, sir, I might need
your signature for this before I upload it to RMS.
Both AHA
for those activities and
preparatory checklist.
In advance, we'll do
miscellaneous cast-in-place concrete and unitmasonry
prep and initial prior to
works for enclosure.
Assuming we will resume by
next week or next week when we have the
response to the
enclosure issue. That will be our next
preparatory and initial.
It will be for the concrete pad and then the
CMU walls? Yes, sir.
Including also for the
new mechanical room.
If we will continue with the CMU or CIP
for that. I'm glad you brought that up because
you're aware that changing the CMU wall for the
room to cast-in-place is changing the design andconstruction.
Yes, sir. So that would require new analysis.
Yes, sir. It would require
an attachment
to the current design analysis
for a check for HCI and that in a submittal
review. Yes, sir. It's pretty
extensive effort
from CMU to cast-in-place the means and method.
Actually, sir, we are still in the
coordination phase with the subcontractor and
our DOR regarding this
proposal. We have provided
DOR what are the items that
may affect and how it will affect
these changes.
I'm also trying to develop into your pad with an
existing pad and you can't just drill in and
just drop in. You're not going to get yourdevelopment length.
I don't know if you can use some sort of
mechanical couplers to get the desired
yeah, so that just complicates
things for just a simple little wall.
Actually, our
regarding time
concern on that, it is more
what do you call this?
Comparison of using CIP
and CMU. We have provided
with a proposal. Yes, sir. So if we end up
doing CIP instead of CMU, we'll let you know, sir.
As soon as we have the final
plan of doing.
It seems like
some of the design has been a little bit
absent as far as I'm seeing.
For example, you guys had
submitted shop drawings for the metal framework, but
you guys missed all the calculations associatedwith it
that would be able to
confirm that your welding rod sizes were
accurate, your welding lengths, all that stuff.
And then when I did get those calculations, theywere
very minimal at best.
If you do that with a wall,
that just requires
I don't want to say an extensive amount ofcalculations, but it does require
some
moderate level of failure checks on that wall for
your ACI.
And it just seems like the designer just has to
make sure that they get that stuff in
clear, they get it in
complete, clear, complete.
And in a good format
that would be for somebody to make sure thatthey're
checking all the boxes. And I've noticed that
it's kind of hit or miss.
That would be another concern. I just want to makesure that
if it is decided to move forward on that, let'sjust try to make sure
that all the appropriate checks are done in amanner
where it's not several iterations.
Is this regarding the submittal
provided last time?
Yeah, you guys owe me
another iteration
of better still calculations
primarily for the connections, but
I think you guys did provide, if I'm not mistaken,
some decent RESA checks on
the metal elements,
the welding, but I made sure to
put all those comments in RMS
for review. But yeah, so it's related to that
because, and it's not just related to that, Imean, you guys had
provided me concrete anchors and
then doing a little bit of digging, come to
find out there was no calculations associated withthe failure
modes of Chapter 17 ACI.
If you have a concrete anchor holding in a
non-structural component per ASCE-7, that's kindof a big
deal. If you guys don't have any calculationsassociated
with the overhead components,
that's kind of a big deal. So I just want to makesure that
anything design-related, not just the frame, notjust
a potential wall that gets
changed to a cast-in-place, you guys are
coordinating that appropriately with yourdesigner. The design right now, as it
stands, is supposed to be complete, and it's notsupposed to have these holes.
Yes, sir. Noted, sir.
Let me continue with the three-week look ahead. For the clean tool,
since all these line items
are prerequisite of the excavation
works for the enclosure, so if the excavation
moves, then the rest will follow.
Until the telecom line
has provided a solution for it,
then we'll continue with this work.
Yes, sir. So not much for the
since it's mostly removal
for the clean one. Regarding safety,
sir, Roger? For safety, the general update
for the installation of temporary site office
安全管理と品質管理のアップデート
affected lay-down area was secured with trafficcones.
For artworks, installation of barricades on theexterior
chiller enclosure to limit access on equipmentwork area,
inspection of mechanized equipment before use,
inspected and tested by a competent person
and certified to be in safe operating condition.
The features in RMS are
earthworks, removal works, and temporary works.
The update days are
excavation works, removal works,
and temporary works.
The upcoming days are
concrete works and removal works.
And we don't have safety deficiency
in this period.
Thank you.
Ivan, do you have anything on safety?
No, not at the moment.
Okay. And the reason why I bring that up is justbecause
I was down there talking to safety earlier,
actually right before this meeting. That's why Iwas just a few minutes late.
And they had provided me some
information just for reminders about heat stressand
making sure you guys are incorporating theprecautions
to avoid heat stress and
making sure you're
checking on your workers and
understanding the symptoms and
ensuring that
people are being well informed related to heatstress.
And there's, you know, water jugs
and taking the necessary breaks and all that.
You guys got a temperature gauge?
It's a monitor.
Okay.
And for now,
the workers are inside the building.
So for now, they're working inside.
Also, just from, I guess,
out of my curiosity, are you guys having, like, any kind of
tailgate, like, pre-construction, you know, beforeeverybody
starts getting after, you know, the differentdisciplines start getting after their
work? Is there, like, warning safety
briefings or a weekly safety briefing just to
kind of go through?
Weekly and daily?
We don't have that.
We only just do
safety briefing in the morning.
Actually, if you want.
Who wants a stretch with the radio?
Yeah.
And we have a pretty involved safety office,
too, so I'll probably get one of our safety repsout there
once we get settled in a little bit more and getthem out there
and walk the site and check everything out.
Safety first.
Absolutely, safety first.
Thanks for mentioning that, Matt.
Yeah, it was definitely good timing to be able totouch base
with them before this meeting and kind of
always keep safety on your mind and, you know,
it's always a good refresher on my end as well.
So moving forward to quality control,
so for the preparatory meetings, we did
earthworks and removal works last
week, July 16 and 17. As for the
initial inspection, maybe within
this week, we'll request, we'll send a
calendar invite for removal works for the initialbut for the earthworks
until
the telecom line
is solved, then we'll wait for that to be
resolved, so we'll not do the earthworks within
this week. As for the testing, there's none and
there's no QC deficiency for this period.
Then for the submittal transmittals,
we have seven items
in the RMS for now,
but we have three
priorities of transmittals,
namely project schedule,
this is the revised one from our scheduler,
then the accident prevention plan since we'realready
working, so we might need to have this
as soon as it's available.
Then last one is the temporary
utility connection plan, this one is also revised.
Actually, the one approved last
time, it was a different transformer,
then we end up submitting the new one, but it was
declined and it was C-coded, but
it is the one approved by
ASATOSAN, I mean the one we requested
to top this 3416
transformer.
Yes, and also
in addition to that temporary utility connection
plan, we also submitted
new connection for the waterline since
we topped with a different location,
it's not with
the one that is approved before, since
from the time that we did the backflow test,
they intended to somehow change
the location on that day,
so we submitted a new one, a revised one.
With safety related to the APP and I notified them
if I don't hear anything this week, then I'm goingto go ahead and
get that taken care of because my understandingwas it's just
some personnel that got updated on the APP.
Okay, thank you sir.
And for
clarification of submittal,
since this, actually it's not here,
the one,
this one is regarding the revised project schedule
April 2026,
this one was submitted maybe
last week,
so this
project based on cost schedule, this 19.43
at the first page, so it is based
already on that file that we
sent through the RMS. We use it already as
guide for this schedule.
Which one, this schedule right?
Yes sir.
A little bit, could you just repeat that?
You guys used the baseline
of the previous schedule and then
you had taken the comments and then you hadupdated the current?
Yes sir, and actually for this
QC meeting today, the one we
used for the schedule project based
weekly progress, it was based on that
forwarded new
schedule.
Yeah, we have a really good schedule reviewer andhe's
detailed oriented and so you, and
the whole premise behind it is to make sure it
keeps you guys successful because if there's
some inconsistencies that could really throw youguys off
and it can also affect
unfortunately early on in the project if ourschedule's not
in order, then it's really hard to justify thetime.
That's all for the submittal.
For the RFIs, there's none
for this period. Also
MODs. So for next
QC meeting
from our team, we are somehow
suggesting if you are good with it,
if we can change the time
into afternoon of Tuesday, around 2pm,
if it's up to you of course.
次回の会議日程と追加の確認事項
This is okay. We were just unsure about your guys'
facility setup out there and then there
was the Teams link that was provided so it waskind of unknown
if it was going to be out on the site or if it wasgoing to be on Teams
or if it was going to be both and then I tried toget on Teams and
it wasn't working out so I apologize
for the confusion on that. I just did not haveenough time
to follow up with you guys for clarity and I
appreciate the flexibility as well.
Maybe next time when we send the calendar invite
we will not include those links for Teams?
No, it's okay. I'll plan on being out on site.
So do you guys
agree if we do it afternoon on Tuesday?
Next week?
He wants to know if 2 o'clock, do we agree with 2o'clock?
If that's more preferred, it just seems weirdbecause
it's always good to just get the stuff done
first thing in the morning. What do you thinkIvan?
It's up to you.
Yeah, first thing in the morning I think. It wouldbe best
right now at 9.30. This is a good time
if we have to do anything to react to any
we can do that.
So I mean
unless it's good for you guys, 9.30 on Tuesdays.
Same time.
Actually he wants it
afternoon.
The supervisor wants it in the afternoon.
This is the second time they brought it up
to the afternoon and so it seems like it's justbeneficial on their end
to do it in the afternoon. But of course it's upto you.
He's concerned but
if so, we have so happened that
we need a time.
Alright man, he says he needs some time
to do some things before the meeting
so he thinks 2 o'clock. That's coming from the
supervisor.
Okay.
So yeah, we don't have no problem. I don't have noproblem
man.
Tuesday.
Thank you sir.
Thank you very much.
Okay.
That's it for our first QC meeting.
Thank you.
Let me go back one thing. You said you neededclarification for the
temporary connection.
Yes sir. This one.
Yes sir.
Matt, the
temporary utility plan.
We can kind of talk offline on that one.
The only comment that I had was
I noticed they didn't have any quick disconnectswitch
between the transformer and the
first panel.
That's an EM385.
Did you not see the comment? You haven't seen thecomment yet.
It's not returned to you yet?
I'll process that.
That was my comment. You need a
quick disconnect in between the transformer and
your first panel.
I'm sorry Matt. Go ahead.
No worries. We'll kind of get together
after this. We can kind of hash out some of thatstuff
just to make sure
I'm following your
experience on that.
Yes sir.
What's the name again sir? Quick disconnect?
Yes. Quick disconnect switch.
In between.
You go in on the EM385 on the electrical
and that's how you go.
In between the transformer.
That was needed. It wasn't shown in the diagram.
And I had sent it over to
the electrical QC so
I didn't see any
I haven't seen it come back yet Matt.
I'm not sure where the alternate is since theother person
is on rack travel.
Good sir. Do you have anything else?
I don't have anything else.
My last thing is just the sliding door removal.
Has that been done or is that being tracked as faras
a date for that? It doesn't even matter right now
since all the stuff isn't there.
We haven't done that on that area sir.
They haven't done it sir. I guess that area isjust kind of a
wash right now considering the situation.
We'll let you know sir if we're going to do it onthat area.
Okay. That's it for today.
Thank you. Thank you for coming sir.
Thank you sir.
You say you need me to sign?
Yes sir.
You want to talk right?
You want to talk right?
You want to talk right?
You want to talk right?
Do you have anything else?
They agreed to doing it on the outside.
This one sir.
I'm not sure.
Going to check the inside building?
Yeah.
Do you have another copy?
Actually I printed eight but
maybe five.
Are you sure?
You got notes on it though.
I think you should get this one.
Because you're more dominant right?
What do you mean?
