家族のアルバムの思い出
These photos are from an old family album and they were taken in 1969 or 1970. I hadn't been born yet
and my parents lived in Nagoya while my grandparents and great-grandmother lived in Toyama.

My mother is the girl smiling in the top left photo. My father must have taken this photograph
but I'm not sure who took the other three. Later, my parents moved to Toyama and my mother died

young after enduring many hardships as the eldest son's wife. However, she looks happy in this photo.
As you know, 50 years ago, people would buy expensive film, load it into heavy cameras,

take the film to a studio to be developed, and then paste prints into albums one by one.
In those days, my parents took photos of the small flower bed, the apartment door,
and the morning glory in front of it. Sometimes I feel as if I'm living my mother's extended life.
