What's up amazing people, this is IYASASA RADIO by Akane and Minami.
In this radio, we are going to talk about random topics in Okinawan, Japanese and English.
This is the 4th episode of HAPPY SUNDAY.
Akane's mom is watching us from outside and everyone is laughing.
Oh my god.
Today's topic is IYASASA RADIO-
最終回はほぼ子供ではない大人レディオで。
I am Akane and Minami.
I am Ichika and Kanon.
Ichika, please introduce yourself.
I am Ichika from Okinawa International University.
I am Kanon from Hieman Academy.
I am Akane's aunt.
You two helped with the event today.
Did you help with Akane's wedding?
We didn't have a wedding.
Ichika was the second time to help the event.
The last time was Nami Festival.
We helped together.
Kanon was the first time to join us to hold the event as a volunteer.
That's great.
What do you two study at Okinawa and Hieman Academy?
I am studying Okinawan history and foreign history related to Okinawa.
How about Kanon?
I am studying at Performing Arts College.
I am studying Japanese, singing, dancing, narration, pronunciation, etc.
You are studying Japanese at school?
Yes.
There is a radio class at school.
That's great.
When I was studying Japanese, the script was not good.
I had to revise the script in a short time.
I do not know what I am studying.
Akane went to Tokyo and experienced the same situation.
03:03
When it is about her job, she speaks standard Japanese.
Yes.
I'm good at acting.
That's not me though.
I understand.
How did you fix it?
I imitated it.
The standard language.
Thank you for the phone call.
I'm the director of P-Hero.
It's not me.
It's not myself as real.
But...
It's more realistic to talk like this.
It's real.
When I speak in the standard language,
I'm acting.
It's like a multi-personality.
I see.
It's a good advice.
It's a good advice.
It's helpful.
I think it's hard to speak in the standard language
when you're acting.
Yes.
The way you call your name,
the way you stretch your lips,
the way you cut your hair,
it's all different.
When I talked to people from the mainland,
they didn't understand what I was saying.
I see.
Because I was trying to
pass on my identity.
You're the type of person
who adjusts to the people around you.
Maybe.
Like a chameleon.
Like a chameleon.
Chameleon and multi-personality.
What did you think
when you fixed the standard language?
On the contrary,
it felt weird.
It's like you're speaking in the standard language.
Yes.
When I'm acting,
I can speak to my seniors
in the standard language.
But when I talk to my juniors
or classmates,
I can't speak in the standard language.
I try not to speak in the standard language.
But I can speak in the standard language.
I was told that a lot.
But you got used to it.
In the Human Academy,
when I was studying acting,
I wanted to do this.
You've been doing this
since you were a kid.
Like dancing.
What made you want to do this?
What made you want to do this?
I don't have a specific reason.
But when I was in 4th grade,
I wanted to do this.
I like dramas.
And I wanted to act.
So I started posting on SNS.
So I started posting on SNS.
My classmates are used to it.
So I tried dancing.
I connected it to my learning.
I connected it to my learning.
I see.
I thought about it on SNS.
I thought about it on SNS.
My family is watching me.
My family is watching me.
Go ahead.
Go ahead.
Are you two on SNS?
Are you two on SNS?
He's my brother.
Ignore him.
06:03
How old are you?
I'm 19.
I'm 19.
I'm 18.
I want to know what you use on SNS.
I want to know what you use on SNS.
Instagram?
TikTok?
I just watch it.
You don't post anything?
I don't post anything.
I don't think so.
I don't think so.
I think it's a gap in age.
I think it's a gap in age.
In my age, everyone posts themselves.
In my age, everyone posts themselves.
But their generation,
they tend to hide their face
to post pictures.
What?
They look in the mirror and hide their face to take pictures.
There are many people who are experts in this.
There are many people who are experts in this.
So they wonder who is watching them.
What if no one is watching them?
What if no one is watching them?
They look at the selfies they are hiding their face.
What do you mean?
A couple does the same thing.
They look in the mirror.
They look in the mirror.
But in their 30s,
they take pictures of their face.
Self-taken?
Self-taken?
I don't think so.
I don't think many men take pictures of their faces.
I don't think many men take pictures of their faces.
There are some people who like to take pictures of themselves, aren't there?
I'm talking about muscular people.
There are people who take pictures of themselves even if they're not muscular, right?
Yes, there are.
So you're talking about people from the south?
So you're talking about people who take pictures without showing their faces?
That's right.
Is that so?
We are old.
Oh, I didn't know that.
What do you usually post on Instagram?
Food, fashion, music I listen to, pictures with my friends.
I don't have many people who post their own pictures.
What do you think about posting your own pictures?
Oh, but if you say that, everyone will ask you.
What do you think about the act of posting your own pictures?
Well, it depends on the person.
But if it's a picture of someone I don't like, I'll post it right away.
I think it's a good idea to post pictures in a fashionable way.
I think it's a good idea to post several pictures of the same person every day.
I don't want to know about that person, but I want to know what that person is thinking and what their concept is.
Do you mean a picture of yourself?
It doesn't have to be a picture of me alone, but it can be a picture of me with my friends.
Does that mean you can't even post it?
09:00
I don't know.
Can't you post it?
I can't.
I can.
I can post it on my friend's birthday.
There may be a difference between men and women.
That's true.
There are many people around me who have their own pictures.
But I still want to show them.
I don't want to be erased.
So you don't want to be erased unless you post pictures of Minami?
I don't want to reveal it, but I want to hide it.
So when you take pictures of Minami, you take pictures of yourself and post them?
Yes.
Do you feel like an old lady?
I do.
No, I don't.
That's the current trend.
You take pictures of yourself every day.
I'm an old lady.
Do you think so?
I thought it was normal.
That's fine.
That's the way our generation does it.
That's right.
I want to ask you this question.
Don't tend to be young.
I don't tend to be young, but there were people who didn't take pictures of themselves.
I used to talk about SNS with Minami on the radio.
Have you ever felt that way?
I'm the type of person who wants to post pictures of myself.
But nowadays, boys take a screenshot of what a girl posted in the past and spread it as a black history.
That's scary.
Is it like Revenge Porno?
It's like a black history of elementary school.
They take a screenshot of it and spread it.
That's why people don't take pictures of themselves as they get older.
That's scary.
What do you think about it?
What do you think?
Do you do such a mean thing?
I don't think there are many people like that.
I don't think there are many people like that.
I don't think there are many people like that.
I see.
There are a lot of articles about the Z generation.
Do people around you talk about that?
No.
I heard a lot about the Yutori generation.
I wonder if there is such a thing now.
I wonder if there is such a thing now.
But I don't hear much about the Z generation.
12:02
I see.
Unless you work for a company.
I see.
But if you have an event, you don't have much age or generation.
I see.
I see.
I work with people in their 20s.
There are people in their 40s and 50s.
It doesn't really matter.
Do you think there is a difference between you and the younger generation?
Yes.
I think the younger generation cares about the pressure from the older generation.
For example, if you go to a company, you are invited to a drinking party.
They tend to be careful.
I think it depends on the type of company.
But the younger generation doesn't use honorifics to the older generation.
I don't mind.
But I think they treat each other fairly.
They say what they think a lot.
I think they are creative.
I think so.
They are more open-minded.
Yes.
I think so.
What do you think?
Did I get it right?
What do you think about the Akane generation?
I don't have much to do with the Akane generation.
I think it's amazing if you just look at this part.
How is it amazing?
Please praise me.
You are the type to be praised.
I think it's amazing that there is a connection between people,
a horizontal connection, and a lot of creative ideas.
I think so.
Thank you.
Akane has a lot of things to do.
I think it's different between a freelancer and an office worker.
It depends on the person's personality.
The type of people you want to connect with,
and the timing you want to connect with.
Akane is that type.
Yes.
What do you think, Canon?
I don't have much to do with the Akane generation.
I don't have much to do with them.
But I have the impression that a lot of office workers are in their 30s.
15:05
I don't feel much difference.
Between you and them?
Yes.
I feel like I am closer to the Akane generation.
There are a lot of seniors in the same class.
I am the only one who calls them seniors.
But the people who are in the same class as me don't call them seniors.
I feel like I am weird.
So I think this is normal.
I see.
What made you become like that?
Did you have a club, family, or friends?
When it comes to dancing, I have a lot of seniors and juniors.
So I think it was a club.
This is the first time I met someone from the Human Academy.
How long did it last?
Was it a high school club?
There was a three-year high school called Human Campus,
and a two-year high school called Human Academy.
Normal people graduate from Futenma High School for three years
and come to the Human Academy as a specialist.
But people who start at the Human Campus can go to the Academy at the same time.
So they are classified as high school students and specialist students.
So they take classes during the day and study at night?
High school students are classified as high school students and specialist students.
So they take classes from 9 to 6 in the morning.
It's the same time as college students.
I feel like you are very busy.
That's good.
When you were in high school, did you want to pursue singing, dancing, and narration?
When I was in junior high school, I wanted to do that.
So I decided to go to the Human Academy instead of going to a normal high school.
That's amazing.
You can see what you want to do when you are young.
Most people go to high school.
But you have the courage to pursue what you like in a different direction.
That's amazing.
How did you feel when you went to a high school?
18:03
I've always liked history, especially Japanese history.
That's true.
I've always liked Japanese history.
But I was born and raised in Okinawa.
So I thought it would be better to learn about Okinawa.
So I went to the Social Studies Department.
I went to Okinawa for a year.
My goal was not to look at Okinawa from an internal perspective.
But I thought it would be better to look at Okinawa from an external perspective.
That's my goal for the past year.
That's my goal for the future.
So you want to go abroad.
Yes, I want to go abroad.
That's a good idea.
These two were watching you when you were a baby.
You were growing up so fast.
When you were in high school, you suddenly became an adult.
When you became an adult, it means I can talk with him at the same level.
That's why I felt your growth.
When I was in university, I liked Okinawa because it was my hometown.
But I wanted to learn more about Okinawa.
I didn't think about that much.
But I went overseas.
When I came back, I felt how important it is to learn about my local area.
It was surprising to me that you had this mindset before you went abroad.
I respect you because you are interested in history.
Yes, history.
When I was a teenager, I didn't care about history.
I didn't care about it at all.
But now I'm interested in it.
Now I'm interested in my own research.
It's great that I can enjoy it at school.
I can be a sociologist.
You can learn a lot.
21:02
So, you want to learn history of Okinawa in the first year.
Learn about the history from Ryukyu to Okinawa.
I want to learn the history in the first year.
And I want to learn more in the second year.
I research it myself, make a report, and publish it.
I think that's what I've been doing for the past two years.
But if you participate in events like music events or dance events,
it's going to be easier to come up with a theme for your paper.
I think that Okinawan hip-hop has a lot to do with Okinawan culture.
There are a lot of people who use dialects and sing about their culture.
I think that's what resonates with young people these days.
I feel like a wave is coming.
Okinawa was super popular about 20 years ago.
But at the time, it's not really historical.
It's more like a resort area.
Like Churasan.
It's a beautiful sea.
There are a lot of people with good looks.
It's like the Okinawa tour.
But now it's more like a deep place.
It's more historical.
That's true.
There are a lot of people who want to use the word Ryukyu.
What does that mean?
What does that mean?
I feel like there are a lot of people who don't want to say Okinawa.
I see a lot of people who write Ryukyu instead of Okinawa in their Instagram posts.
There are also people who write Uchinanchu.
It's not Okinawan anymore.
It's more like a dialect.
Ryukyu is more Okinawan than Okinawa.
I don't know how to explain it.
Okinawan rappers use the word Ryukyu a lot.
I think that's why it's more cool.
I think so too.
But I'm happy with Uchinanchu.
Ryukyu is not a foreign culture.
It's a self-proclaimed culture.
It's a self-proclaimed culture.
It's good.
24:00
It's eco-friendly.
It's self-proclaimed.
It resonates with foreigners.
I think that's a good thing.
People know Okinawa better abroad.
Let's change the subject.
I was listening to the kids on the radio.
What do you want to say to the parents of today's adults?
People often say that it's because we are from the Yutori generation,
that we don't dress up properly.
But I think that adults have a hard head.
That's true.
It's fun.
There are a lot of people who don't dress up properly.
If you don't agree with what they think,
it's a denial.
You can't be too loose, but you can be more gentle.
Adults.
Loose.
Minami is loose.
The opposite?
The more you grow up, the more experience you gain.
You have pride.
You tend to think you're right.
But if you're not,
it's like...
You're making mistakes.
Do you want to protect yourself?
I do.
Until recently,
older people had more experience.
I wanted to ask for advice.
But now, regardless of age,
I ask for advice from younger people.
I ask them.
I don't think I'm great.
If I change my field,
there are times when I'm really bad.
If you think about it,
it's easier to decide what your goal is.
That's true.
When I was told I couldn't make a speech,
I was asked which line was faster.
I was asked who was good at summarizing sentences.
There were a lot of occasions.
That's how I started thinking.
That's how I got rid of the wall in my head.
I think that's a big advantage for me.
Yeah.
You're right.
That's true.
No matter how old you are,
what Akane wants to say is that
regardless of age,
you should learn what you're not good at.
If you're taught what you know,
you should learn it.
27:01
Even if you're 100% right,
it's up to me.
That's what I think.
Yeah.
What about you, Ichi-chan?
I've been curious about you.
Oh, really?
I can't see you from this angle.
I'll look to the south.
What do you think of adults?
We're both adults.
Adults can be parents.
If you think Akane is close,
you can think of someone older.
But...
I've been thinking of my parents for 19 years.
But...
It's too much.
Yeah, it's too much.
But my image of adults is...
For now,
I have a good image.
I think I have a good image.
I'm not in society yet.
I don't know what kind of people there are.
I don't know what kind of people there are.
I don't know what kind of people there are.
I don't know how many people there are.
I don't know.
I can't say anything.
But the adults I've been involved with
are all very nice people.
I don't have much experience yet,
so I can't say anything.
I'm a positive type.
But you've met a lot of nice people.
That means you have your own charm.
That's right.
You attract people.
I think it's a way of thinking.
I think it's a way of thinking.
For example,
when someone says something to you,
you say,
you say,
you say,
you say,
you say,
you think about it in your head.
you think about it in your head.
Just thinking about it.
In the end,
For example,
when it comes to work,
or when money is involved,
everyone has a personality.
Everyone is happy
to go to such a charity event
where there's no money.
But there's a lot of people who change
when it comes to business.
There are people who help
I've met a lot of people who didn't help me at that time.
The more people I meet, the more I have the power to find out their true nature.
Sometimes I'm not able to find out their true nature yet,
but I can find out what they think just by talking to them for a moment.
Even though I'm so stupid.
But you've met a lot of people.
30:01
I think I'm the type of person who wants to take everything positively.
Because it's a waste of time if you only think about the negative.
Well, sometimes it's not a waste of time.
So if I take everything positively, it's more positive for me.
But if I take everything negatively, it's easier for me to feel better.
I don't think too much.
I think I'm the type of person who thinks simply.
I'm talking about my personality all of a sudden.
No, no, no. I think it's good.
Everyone has their own personality, right?
It's interesting because I'm listening to you while understanding that.
That's right.
Because I don't have much time to sit down and talk to them.
I mean, I can talk to them while eating.
But I don't have much time to focus on the conversation.
This family has a good relationship.
I mean, didn't everyone come here?
Everyone is leaving now, but didn't everyone come here?
I think everyone came here because they wanted to see the situation where Ichi and Kanon were filming the radio.
That's why they're wandering around.
Look, they're here again.
They're here again.
They're like different relatives.
They're like different relatives.
That's amazing.
There have been a lot of people since a while ago.
Yes, I'm an adult.
I'm an adult.
Yes.
There are more and more people coming, so I'm going to ask them what they want to do.
Well, yes.
What do you want to do in the future?
It's complicated.
That's good.
Kanon, what do you want to be in the future?
Originally, I wanted to be an actress.
Now, I want to do a live performance.
I want to stand on the main stage and do a live performance.
That's amazing.
You mean you want to sing, dance, and do a live performance?
That's right.
Is that an idol-type thing?
Another relative is watching again.
I'm sorry to bother you.
Idol-type?
I haven't decided yet whether it's an idol-type or an artist-type.
Either way, I want to stand on the stage.
I want to step on the explosion.
No matter how big it is.
There's something like that, isn't there?
The string is sitting.
I didn't think I wanted to be on stage when I was 18 or 19 years old.
33:00
I might have wanted to dance together.
People who are interested in becoming an actor or an artist are imagining that.
I'm on stage.
But I think it will be.
If you say it, it will be.
If you say it, it will be.
What was it?
Fake it till you make it.
That's our favorite word.
How do you say it?
Until you can do it, pretend to be it and act.
So this Iyasasu Radio is a bit of a joke.
It's like saying, do it with the feeling of a superstar.
That's right.
Shou said earlier that she wants to become an actress.
We think she will become an actress.
Can I get your autograph first?
Even if you become an actress and appear on the radio,
will you appear without a gala?
We've already recorded that.
We've got the evidence.
So, Kanon, you too.
Yes, please.
Please appear even if you become famous.
Yes, of course.
It's a relative split.
Ichi-chan, do you have anything to say?
I still have some parts that I haven't decided yet.
But when I think about it now,
I want to do events like this like Akane.
I've learned history, so I want to do activities to spread it.
That's my future plan.
I might change over the next four years because I'm still in college.
But I think I'm doing what I've said now.
That's good. It's fun.
It's called Fake it till you make it,
so if Ichi-chan becomes an eventer and
I become a person who conveys the message of Ryukyu,
I'd like to spend every day like that.
Just by conveying the message of Ryukyu,
you can do all the work.
That's right.
I can also plan events.
That's right.
You have Akane's strong back-up.
I'm an organizer.
It's a good environment.
Yes.
Everyone.
Because Akane and the others can hold events and stand on the stage, right?
That's right.
While conveying the message of Ryukyu.
The three of us can do it all.
Minami doesn't DJ.
I'll do it.
I'll do DJing and recording.
36:02
Then, start an event company in the family business.
Yes.
With Akane as the CEO.
Minami of Iyasasa Radio supports the Akane family business.
I support the family business.
Family is the best.
Yes.
I'll follow the Akane family.
Yes.
Thank you for today.
Bye-bye.
Thank you.
Thank you.
