Welcome to Letters Lane. I'm Sophia. Tonight, fromthis little room, I'd like to share a letter withyou.
This is a place where letters become stories, andstories become moments we can share together.
Tonight, we have a letter from someone living inan old apartment building.
It's addressed to a neighbor they've never trulymet. No names, no conversations.
Just the sound of a piano drifting through thewall, becoming part of everyday life.
Sometimes, the smallest connections leave thedeepest impressions.
Let's begin with tonight's letter.
To the piano I hears the wall. They are neverbehind the wall. We've never really meet.
I don't know your name, and if we passed eachother on the stairs, I'm not even sure we'drecognize one another.
Still, for a long time now, you've been part of mydays.
Some evenings while making dinner. Some weekendswhile reading by the window.
Some quiet nights when the world feels slower thanusual.
A piano begins to play. Not a concert, not aperformance. Just someone sitting down andspending time with the keys.
I've listened to melodies grow more confident overthe months.
I've heard passages repeated again and again untilthey finally seem to settle into place.
Without meaning to, your music became one of thosefamiliar sounds that make a place feel like home.
It's funny how comfort sometimes arrives fromunexpected places.
A favorite coffee mug. A porch light across thestreet. The sound of rain on a roof.
知らない誰かから届く慰め
Or a piano coming through an apartment wall.
There were days when I was busy. Days when I felttired. Days when I didn't think much of anythingat all.
And then your music would drift through the room.
Nothing dramatic happened, but somehow the dayfelt a little softer.
That's why I'm writing this. Not because I havesomething important to say.
Only because gratitude has a way of appearingquietly.
Your music has been a small part of my life, eventhough you never knew it.
And I'm thankful for that.
I hope life is treating you kindly.
I hope there are still moments when you can sitdown at the piano and lose track of time.
And if one day another melody finds its waythrough the wall, I'll probably stop what I'mdoing for a moment and listen.
Just as I always have.
Thank you.
曲「The Light Next Door」と締めくくり
It's easy to believe that the things we do eachday go unnoticed.
But sometimes, a simple melody, a familiar soundor a quiet routine becomes a source of comfort forsomeone we'll never even know.
Tonight's song is inspired by that quiet kind ofgratitude.
Please enjoy The Light Next Door.
Thank you for spending this time with us onLetters Lane.
Perhaps there's someone in your life you'd like tothank.
Someone who brought a little warmth, a littlecomfort or a little light into an ordinary day.
Maybe they never realized the difference theymade, but the feeling remains.
Until next time.
The next letter arrived that night.
This is Sophia from Letters Lane.
Good night.
