Welcome to Letters Lane. I'm Sofia. Tonight, fromthis little room, I'd like to share a letter withyou.
Tonight's letter was written on the eve of aseason that only comes once every four years.
A night when the world seems to pause for amoment, waiting for something unforgettable tobegin.
The streets feel a little brighter, theconversations last a little longer,
and somehow, in the middle of all theanticipation, someone comes to mind.
Tonight's letter is for that person. Let's begin.
The letter written on the eve of the World Cup.
Dear friend, there are certain nights that seem tocarry a little more energy than usual.
Tonight feels like one of them.
Nothing has started yet, and still, the city feelsdifferent somehow.
The lights seem brighter, people talk a littlelonger, even the air feels like it's waiting forsomething.
Maybe it's because everyone is looking forward tothe same thing.
The stories that haven't happened yet.
The moments nobody can predict.
The memories that will be made, before we evenrealize they're becoming memories.
As I was thinking about all of that, I foundmyself thinking about you.
Not for any particular reason.
Just the way some people quietly come to mind whenthe new season begins.
I started wondering how you've been.
Whether life has been kind to you lately.
Whether you've found things that make you laugh.
Whether you've had a chance to enjoy the smallmoments that often pass too quickly.
Over the next few weeks, people all over the worldwill be watching, hoping, celebrating and sharingmoments they'll remember for years.
I like the thought that somewhere, under the samesky, you might be enjoying those moments too.
And if you are, that makes me smile.
Sometimes that's enough.
No grand message.
No important reason for writing.
Just a simple thought on a night full ofanticipation.
I hope you're doing well.
I hope you're finding reasons to smile.
And I hope this season brings you a fewunforgettable moments of your own.
Warmly, there is something special about themoments before a story begins.

Before the first cheer.
Before the first memory.
Before anyone knows what will happen next.
Sometimes, those moments remind us of people wehaven't thought about in a while.
People we simply hope are doing well.
People we hope are smiling somewhere under thesame sky.
The song you're about to hear was inspired by thatfeeling.
A feeling of anticipation, connection and quietremembrance.
This is when the lights come on.

It's amazing how a season, a moment or even afeeling in the air can bring someone back to mind.
And sometimes, without any particular reason, wefind ourselves hoping they're happy, wherever theymay be.
Thank you for spending part of your evening withus here at Letters Lane.
Until next time, I'll see you in my next letter.
This is Sophia from Letters Lane.
Good night.
