Hello, welcome to Letters Lane. I'm Sofia.Tonight, from this little room, I'd like to
share a letter with you. Tonight, we have a newletter waiting for us. It's not a letter
about a grand moment, just a quiet piece ofsomeone's everyday life. And sometimes, those
are the stories that stay with us the longest. So,let's begin.
It's a letter written for someone who spends herdays caring for the people around her.
A few thoughts that appeared during a quietmorning before the day began. Please take
a moment to listen. A letter of gratitude to mywife. I woke up a little earlier than
usual this morning. The house was still quiet.Just a cup of coffee and a few peaceful minutes
before the day began. I don't think I say thisnearly enough, but lately, I've been
noticing things. Not the big moments, the littleones. The lunches waiting in the fridge.
The laundry already folded before anyone eventhinks to ask. The way you remember all the
things the rest of us forget. Most of it happensso naturally that it's easy to believe the
house simply takes care of itself, but it doesn't.It's you.
Some evenings, after the kids have finally gone tosleep, I see you sitting on the couch
for the first time all day. Not doing anything, just enjoying a quiet moment. And I find myself
thinking that it might be the first chance you'vehad to breathe since this morning.
The funny thing is, years from now, I don't thinkwe'll remember what we had for dinner
on an ordinary Tuesday. But I think we'll rememberthis life. The noise, the mess, the
laughter drifting in from the next room. Maybewe're living the memories we'll be talking
about someday. Anyway, it looks like rain is onthe way, and I can already hear the

house beginning to wake up. From that letter camea song. Its title is,
The Hours You Give. Let's listen together.
The house was quiet before the daylight found theroom. Coffee on the counter.
Somehow every little thing is already where itneeds to be.
I guess I never stopped enough to see what thatreally means.
The hours you give. The things you never say.
Holding all these ordinary moments together everyday.
And I don't always notice the way I probablyshould.
But this home is full of pieces of you.
And that's what makes it good.
Falling softly on the floor. The kids are finallysleeping.
And the house is loud no more. You sit down for amoment.
Like you're meeting yourself again. After givingall your time away.
Since I don't know when.
The hours you give. The things you never say.
Holding all these ordinary moments together everyday.
And I don't always notice the way I probablyshould.
But this home is full of pieces of you.
And that's what makes it good.
騒がしさの前に伝えるありがとう
Years from now we might forget what happened on aTuesday night.
But not the way it felt inside.
The hours you give. And every little memory we'llsomeday talk about.
The rain is coming. Morning's near and another daybegins.
So before the noise arrives I just wanted you toknow.
Thank you for spending part of your evening withus here at Letters Lane.
Sometimes a few simple words can travel fartherthan we expect.
Perhaps tonight's letter will stay with you for alittle while.
Until next time, I'll see you in my next letter.
This is Sofia from Letters Lane. Good night.
