Welcome to Kevin's English Room Podcast.

So, um, I'm still shocked by the fact that yourarely go to the hospital.
We talked about this several days ago, not on thepodcast, somewhere else, but
the frequency, we talked about how frequently wevisit the doctors, right? And then for me,
at that time, I answered like maybe twice a month.Well, when I think about it, it's a little too
much, like maybe a little bit less. But like you,you were like once a once or twice a year.
Yeah. And I was blown away by that. I couldn'twrap my head around how that works. Honestly.
When you have to go that once or twice a year, what did you go for?
So, I, 花粉症, that's one. Oh, right. You said that, right? Okay. Yeah. So, that's one.
That's not even, that's like 予防。
Yeah. Right?
Yeah, right.
It's almost 予防。
I know it and just visit the hospital and justcollect the medicine.
Right. It's not even, it's not even, you know, something irregular.
Yeah.
It's not even, you know, you got injured, you feelsick, you feel something happened to you.
I know the medicine and I know the name and I justgo visit them and just say, I need this.
It's like that.
My God.
Yeah.
My God.
That's, that's one.
Man.
And then maybe dentist. Yes. Once maybe.
But you got your wisdom tooth taken out.
Yes. So, last year I went to a few times.
Wait, what about regular checkups?
I don't go.
Well, okay.
Yeah. I, to be honest, I'm just being honest. Idon't, I don't go like those regular.
Do you go?
Yeah. I go to every single one of them.
How frequent do you go?
Um, the frequency that's being recommended by thedoctors.
Like, for example, if it's your teeth.
Yeah.
Once every three months or four months.
That's the recommended amount.
You never heard?
Who recommended that to you?
The general public.
Oh, really?
Yeah.
Yeah. I mean, I've even Googled it.
Oh, I see.
I don't, I don't, I don't go. And I heard of it.Yes, it's true.
And your regular checkups?
The genko shindan?
Oh, so that's once a year. Yes.
Oh, so you do that?
Yes.
Oh, that's great.
I've been doing it for three years, I think.
03:01
Oh, that's great.
Yeah, since you said it to me.
Oh, that's great.
I've been doing that.
Oh, nice.
Yeah. So I think that's kafunshou, genko shindan.
Maybe teeth?
Yeah. Teeth. If you have something.
And if you have like a COVID maybe, you go.
That's true.
To the hospital. I don't know. If anythinghappens, I go.
When's the last time you got sick?
What kind of sick?
So, felt sick that you couldn't work. Like, feltsick that you had to take a day off.
When was the last time that happened?
I remember. I don't remember if it was this yearor last year, but I remember I had
like a, yeah, ichouen, and I've been in thebathroom for a few days.
You said that. Yeah, you said that.
So that's it.
But you were too sick, you couldn't go to thehospital, right?
Right.
Right, right, right.
I don't know if I should count that.
No, I want to know that. Okay, okay, okay, okay.
Yeah, that's, I think.
But that's one.
Yeah.
It's not even your fault.
What do you mean?
It's not your fault, right? It was the food, right?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Right, it's the food.
Yeah.
Well, other than that, one's like a casual fever.
Casual fever?
Yeah.
Yeah, I remember I had one too.
One, one, one.
I mean, but I don't remember that. I'veexperienced that.
Within the last three years, yes or no?
Yes, I think.
Oh my god.
But I don't, honestly, I don't.
Oh my god, you don't, really?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Dude, your immune system.
Yes, I do.
You have a great immune system.
No, no, no, I do. I remember.
I remember I experienced that.
I felt, oh, I felt bad.
And I, you know, I have like a thermometer andjust did it.
Like, oh, 30, I don't know, 7, 8 degrees.
And, you know, I have my medicine at my house.
Okay.
I take them.
So, yeah.
So, you're trying to say your immune system is notthat different from everybody.
Is that what you're trying to say?
I, I'm, I'm just, uh.
Just a regular guy?
I think so.
So, I guess where, what you could say is you don'tgo to the hospital even though you're sick.
Those just, kaze?
No, I don't go.
No, yeah.
I mean, there's different, you know, sides tothat, right?
People say that it doesn't really matter.
It doesn't really change because it's a virusthing, not a, you know, key.
Yeah.
But other than that, like, if you.
So, if it's something special, I go.
Like COVID.
COVID.
Like, I don't know, like one week of high fever, then I go maybe.
06:05
I mean, not maybe, I go.
But if it's just, if it's just a little bit, justbothering you a little bit, you ignore it.
Yeah.
Understandable.
More understandable than I thought.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, right?
Yeah, more understandable than I thought.
Don't treat me like a strange guy, dude.
No, no, no, I was jealous.
Oh, oh, I see.
I was jealous of your strength, your health.
Yeah, but I think you're the right, as thoseguidelines, you're doing the right protocols,
right?
Yeah.
So, that's better.
Yeah, yeah.
So, even though you don't feel bad, you go to thehospitals, right?
Yeah, for teeth, yes.
Oh, okay.
For teeth, yes.
Yeah, for other things, I don't go.
Oh, I see, I see.
Like, you know, I don't visit a physician if Idon't have anything.
I don't go to like, you know, yeah.
Only, yeah, the regular ones I go to is the teeth, eye doctor, because I have a.
Yeah.
Yeah, I have a condition.
And the.
Yes.
What was it called?
Yeah, that's it.
I see.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Do you have fever and you go to the hospitals?
Yeah, only recently.
I'm educated and like, I found out that it reallydoesn't matter that much.
So, I don't go.
Oh, okay, okay.
Yeah, but several, like, let's say, for example, two years ago, I would go to the hospital.
And get some medicines.
Get some medicines.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I think that's, I don't know, better of the, like,of the potential of something different.
Right.
You don't get, like, random one week of, huh, thisjoint hurts.
That doesn't happen.
Like, I feel something on my left leg for like aweek.
That doesn't happen.
It's been going on for a week.
That doesn't happen.
Um, not regularly.
Okay.
I remember that happened in my life.
Okay.
Yes, but it's not a regular thing.
Okay.
I experienced two, twice, three times like that inmy life.
I mean, not whole life, but like in recent years.
Okay, okay.
But I didn't go to the hospital.
It just went.
It just, you just waited until it just.
I was just.
It flew away.
Felt it, yeah.
And.
Yeah.
I have Shinketsu.
Okay.
So sometimes it, like some, those Shinketsu nervesare like aching a bit, but I know it's
Shinketsu.
So I just let it, let it do, let it do.
09:00
Right there.
I have a question.
So you don't go to the hospital to try to get somemedicine and fix that.
You don't do that.
I don't do that.
Okay.
Why?
Because I know it's the Shinketsu and it's notsomething.
It's not something that you take medicine.
Oh, it's not curable?
No, I don't think so.
Oh.
But I, if it's heavy, I go to like an onsen, maybe.
It's curable by onsen.
Oh, really?
Oh, it eases it?
Yeah.
Sometimes like massagings, more like that.
So like.
But not medicine.
Not medicine.
Maybe they have like strong medicines for likenerve systems.
I'm sure, yeah, I'm sure they do.
But I don't.
It's just.
I don't need them.
It's not that heavy.
Oh, okay.
It's just, it's just.
It's just like a second or two.
Yeah, yeah.
And all you have to do is just deal with for halfa day or whole day and just relax.
And you, maybe I'm tired and just go to the gym.
Maybe a little massaging and then take a bath.
And then, yeah.
Okay.
Okay.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
In Kagosho.
Okay, okay.
Yeah, those two.
Yeah, after digging in, I found out it wasn't thatdifferent.
Yeah.
I'm just a little bit more like lower standards onlike when to go or not.
And I get a little bit more.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
You know, fixes.
I think so, I think so.
Yeah, I guess that's why.
Yeah, yeah.
Okay.
Thanks for listening, guys.
Thank you.
Bye.
