英語で会話をする際に、なるべくスムーズに言葉が出てくるようにしたいのですが、
とある単語の形容詞は知っているのに、その名詞や副詞を知らないという状況がたまに起こります。
例えば、symmetricは知っているけど、symmetryを知らないなどです。
私はこういう時、とりあえずnessをつけることで名詞っぽくして、
reをつけることで副詞っぽくしています。
また同様に、再〜する、再開するとかを言いたい時にも、
その単語が存在するかはわからないけど、
とりあえず知っている動詞にreなんとかというふうに表現しています。
相手に伝わっているような気はするのですが、
ネイティブの方はもしそれらの単語が存在していないものでも、
言わんとしていることはわかるものなのでしょうか。
またヤマちゃんは留学中に似たような対処をしていたことはありますか?

In English?
In English, if I don't know the proper format ofthe word,
like the noun format and everything, I create it.

I mean, ginormous used to be separate words.
