初のThrowback Episode

00:00
Welcome to Kevin's English Room Podcast!
Hey there guys!
Kevin here, alone, again.
Since Yama-chan couldn't make it to the recording,
I thought I could use this as an opportunity to do something else,
just like what I did with MC Takasan, I collabed with him, right?
And I thought of something else.
I've never actually had a chance to share with you guys what my favorite podcast episode is.
We've done so much episodes, so many episodes in the past,
and I don't know, maybe there are like 600 episodes, I don't know, maybe more, maybe not that much, I don't know,
but definitely a lot of them. We've been doing it for like over a year, so...
So why not use this as an opportunity to replay, do a replay, like a throwback of my personal favorite episode.
And that is, the title is "Kevin - Teiketsu Atsusetsu".
Yeah, the reason why I like that episode was there was a scene near the end of the episode
where Yama-chan is explaining to me the shoujo of the descriptions for Teiketsu Atsu,
and he was like, "Nani nani torisugi, nani nani ga, dou iu keiko ni aru" and he said, "Karei".
And that was supposed to mean like, aging, but I took it as like curry, like butter chicken curry,
and I was like, "Oh, I love curry, yeah, I love curry, yes".
And that moment is still funny to me, that was hilarious.
Even to this day, I remember it and I still laugh.
So here's that episode.
And also check out Amazon Music's Kevin's English from Podcast Plus,
because I still, I have new episodes with Taka-san's there, so check that out too.
Here's the episode, the Kevin "Teketsu Atsusetsu" episode. Here we go, guys.
Welcome to Kevin's English Room Podcast!
Hello! Podcast.
Yes.
Another day.
Another day.
Another day, yeah.
Great podcasting.
Yes, yes.
So, this is from Kokeshi-san.
Do you know what is Kokeshi?
Yeah, Kokeshi is like a little rock, you know?
Rock?
Oh no, it's a little, it's a wooden, it's a human-shaped wooden little decoration.
Yeah, that is right.
It's got the body, one piece, and it's got the head.
03:02
Yes, yes.
One little wooden oval-shaped, yes, yes.
So this is from Kokeshi-san.
Okay, Kokeshi-san.
Oh, this is going to be a good question.
The other day, you talked about the bad sleeping habits of Kevin-san in your podcast and live broadcast, right?
I was also nodding when I heard that.
I don't snore, but I think it's hard to wake up in the morning because I want to snore.
Until now, I thought it was because I couldn't sleep well at night.
However, the other day, I measured my blood pressure at the health checkup at work, and it was only about 90% up and 60% down, and it was only that much, so I realized that I had low blood pressure for the first time.
When I found out that I had low blood pressure, I was so frustrated that it was hard to wake up, and I had been working like I was dead for a while after I got to work.
Of course, I think my bad sleeping habits are also due to lack of sleep, but I realized that that's not the only reason.
How about the blood pressure of Yama-chan and Kevin-san?
In particular, Kevin-san is concerned about the same bad sleeping habits.
Please tell me if you like.
Kokeshi-san.
Thank you, Kokeshi-san.
So, do you know what the normal range is?
I don't know.
You don't know.
Have you ever done your blood pressure?
I did, yeah.
Was it like normal?
A little bit lower than the usual, like normal, average.
What happens if it's a little too low?
It's very hard to wake up, especially in the morning, because you sleep in this shape, like this style, like sleeping style.
Oh, like flat on your back?
Yeah, yeah.
Then your blood is all around your body, including the tip of the toe.
But when you wake up, you need some blood in your brain or your heart, you know, it's going to be like little, not enough.
So there's kind of low oxygen.
Okay.
You need to, you know, time.
Circulate the blood.
Yeah, to wake up yourself.
So that happens if you're low blood pressure.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Oxygen things and like AO, you know, you need time to really like waking up yourself.
06:04
Is that the main, is that like the biggest demerit of having a low blood pressure?
Let me search.
Okay.
Maybe not the main thing.
Okay.
The symptoms that people with low blood pressure have are dizziness, dizziness, morning sickness, headache, fatigue, shoulder pain, and so on.
I hardly get tachycardia. I hardly get dizziness.
What's the difference between a tachycardia and a dizziness?
Tachycardia is when you're standing up from, you sit first and you stand up.
And then it feels dizzy.
What's dizziness then?
Whenever you're driving a car, while you're sitting, you feel the dizziness.
Oh, okay. That hardly ever happens to me either.
Oh, really?
Yeah.
Well, actually I have tachycardia so many times because I have little lower blood pressure.
Yeah.
And I don't have like dizziness.
Okay.
I don't get dizziness.
You don't get dizziness.
That I sometimes have.
Okay.
I don't have shoulder pain.
Okay.
Like dizziness?
I don't know what that is.
Okay.
Like you feel the heartbeat like too strong, like...
Like when I see a cockroach?
No.
That happens?
No, no, no, no, no.
Like I want to kill the fuck out of that guy.
If I look at him in my house.
But I guess that's not it.
Yeah.
No, I don't get that.
Okay.
Yeah.
Then I guess you...
I guess I don't have the low blood pressure.
What is a blood pressure anyway?
That's a good question.
I...
Yeah.
What does it really mean to have a low blood pressure?
That means...
Okay.
Okay.
So, a blood pressure is...
When blood flows through the artery,
the blood...
It's the pressure that pushes the wall.
Oh.
So...
I see.
Amount?
The amount of blood is important.
Okay.
Wait, isn't it the power of the pump by the heart?
09:01
Yeah, maybe.
How strong it's flowing?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Maybe.
That means it's not the heart power.
Okay.
But it's the amount of blood.
And also the...
strength.
Okay.
Power.
Okay.
Okay.
I sort of get it.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Well, me too.
I kind of get it.
Sort of.
But when we sometimes hear about high blood pressure,
you know, the upper high pressure,
that means you're...
It's not someone who has so many amount of blood,
but it's just they are having like so many "shibo"
in those "hosoi" "domyaku" "kekkan"
so that, you know, "kekkan" is little...
More narrow.
Yeah, narrow.
Clogged up.
So that the blood pressure gets bigger.
Got it.
Because it's not...
There's no space for the blood to flow in.
Yeah, the amount of blood is still the same.
I feel like my eating habits
are more on the higher blood pressure kind of world.
Can you search for the symptoms of high blood pressure?
Of course.
Like...
Okay.
Let's see.
Okay.
That's still severe.
That doesn't happen.
Yeah.
That's more on the extreme side, I guess.
Hmm.
Oh.
Okay.
Okay.
Well, that wasn't very motivating.
12:02
Yeah.
Yes, that's me.
Okay.
Yes.
Oh, "kare" okay.
I thought it was curry.
I was like, "I eat curry."
That's what I thought.
I was like, "Oh shit, I love curry."
I get like the butter chicken curry.
I get like the normal retort curry.
Oh shit.
Okay.
The Asian curry.
You mean Asian.
Yeah, Asian.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I guess it's fine eating curry.
Yeah, it's curry.
Yeah.
Okay.
We don't want to criticize curry that much, right?
Yeah, it's okay.
No problem.
You can have those every day.
Okay, thank you.
I'm sorry.
I'm sorry.
I'm sorry.
Hahaha.
So, "enbun" is "torisugi."
Mm-hmm.
"Eiging" is "kare."
"Eiging."
"Stress."
Not much.
Okay.
"Hageshi undou shita toki."
Not much.
Mm-hmm.
"Samusa."
Well, it's winter.
No, it's summer, so no.
"Gaikion no henka."
Yeah, a little bit.
A little bit?
Yeah.
"Suimin busoku."
Yes.
"Kado no alkouro sesshu."
No.
"Undou busoku."
Maybe.
"Himan kataiju."
No.
"Nado nado."
Ah.
Well, I guess I'm not that...
Yeah.
I'm not that...
I don't fall into the categories.
True.
Not that much.
Except you eat curry.
Hahaha.
Wow.
That was a legendary moment.
Hahaha.
Yeah.
Because I said "enbun no torisu" at the beginning, so...
Right, right.
I thought it was like my mind shifted into food mode.
And he said "curry," and I'm like, "Okay."
I didn't say "curry."
I said "kare."
Wow.
Yeah, so I guess you're not...
Yeah, I guess I'm not in those...
But you need to measure it.
I need to actually medically measure it.
Yeah.
Maybe you're having a problem.
I should do that.
Maybe you'll...
They have it at the gym, don't they?
Usually.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, I should use that.
Yeah.
All right.
All right.
Thanks for listening, guys.
