FL島とエッフェル塔の概要
こんにちは、ちじゅです。さて、今週はFL島とEiffel Towerについてお届けしているわけなんですが、
ちょっとFL島について詳しくなっちゃおう。詳しくなっちゃったついでに、
いろいろと話ができたらいいよね、みたいな形で英語でもちょっとお話をさせていただいているんですけれども、
あなたの周りの誰よりもねFL島に詳しくなっちゃって、
英語でもそのことが話ができるようにというような趣旨でお届けしております。
今日は3回目最終回でございまして、会話編をお届けしたいと思っております。
今までは、まず最初に概要をお届けして、その次に概要と言いますかね、歴史とかそういったものをストーリー形式でお届けしまして、
その後でトリビアをお届けしましたよね。で、今回は最終回で2人の会話という形になっています。
ゴローとエミリーの2人のFL島に関する軽い会話、そういったものをお楽しみいただけたらなというふうに思っています。
この会話の使い方なんですけども、まずは聞いてもらいますよね。
で、その後でね、できれば自分が話をするっていうつもりで聞いてほしいんですよ。
なので何回か聞いてほしいなと思うんですが、1回目は意味をつかむという形で聞いてもらって、
2回目は自分がこれは頂きと思うような文を探すつもりで聞いてほしいんですね。
で、その中で1文ぐらいはこれ使えるかもとか、自分がこれを言ってる姿が思い浮かぶみたいな表現が多分あると思うんですよ。
そういったものにフォーカスをしてもらって、もう1つで構わないので、1文だけで構わないので、
もう自分のものにするぞっていうふうな形でね、口も動かしてもらって、シャドーイングをするなりして、
で、ちょっと練習をして、ちょっと自分事を自分のものにしてほしいなと思います。
ポイントとしては、その全部の意味が分かるとか、全部が言えるようになるとかいうことではなくて、
でも1つでいいので、1つにちょっとフォーカスして、1点集中型でですね、ぜひとも聞いて練習をしてほしいなというような趣旨で作っております。

エッフェル塔の歴史と反応
I thought it was just a fancy place for tourists to take selfies.
Goro, well, it is that too.
But it was originally built for the World's Fair in Paris.
Can you imagine how people reacted when they first saw it?
Emily, I bet they were amazed.
Like, wow, look at that giant metal spaghetti.
Goro, exactly.
But actually, many people hated it at first.
They thought it was an eyesore.
Emily, seriously?
That's hard to believe.
It's like saying a pizza is bad because it has too much cheese.
Goro, right?
But over time, it became a beloved symbol of Paris.
Now, it attracts millions of visitors every year.
Emily, speaking of visitors, I heard that the view from the top is incredible.
You can see the whole city.
Goro, yes.
But you know what's funny?
When I went up there, I was so excited that I forgot to take a picture.
Emily, no way.
How could you forget?
Goro, I know.
I was too busy enjoying the view.
But then, I realized I had a great selfie of my feet instead.
Emily, well, at least you have proof that you were there.
Look, everyone, here's my feet at the Eiffel Tower.
Goro, exactly.
Emily, just make sure to wear nice shoes next time.
You don't want to ruin the view.
