Welcome to Kevin's English Room Podcast.
Hello.
Hello.
Okay.
Okay.
This one.
This is from...
You're about to read it and you're like, nah.
Yeah, because...
All right.
Okay.
Was it like inappropriate or something?
No.
It's...
I'm gonna read it.
Oh, you're gonna read it?
Yeah.
Okay, let's hear it.
Oh, because it wasn't a question, you were like...
Yeah.
I see, I see, I see.
And also, it's...
辻さん would listen to this, and he would send us a message,
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah, right, he doesn't, I don't...
Yeah, he doesn't, so...
So we can say whatever we want.
We can say whatever we want.
Not that there's anything bad to say about him, but like,
I'm just saying.
You can say anything you want.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So that was the message.
All right.
I'm happy you made it alive.
Yeah.
Happy you got out.
So next one.
All right.
So I think the same guy.
Oh, sure, yeah.
So that's the one message before the last episode.
Okay.
So, before this New Kokushin-san.
Oh, okay.
He was sending a topic question, another one.
Yeah.
Okay.
Okay.
03:20
Okay.
Oh, thank you.
What was the, wait, wait, hold on.
Okay.
So...
A Japanese airline?
Yeah.
Ah, I see.
I see.
On a flight to Honolulu.
Ah, I see.
I see.
Sometimes you like, you get a little sticker or something.
Right, didn't you get a sticker?
Did I?
Yeah, like you were sleeping,
and then I think I saw you get a sticker of like,
you missed your meal, so fucking ask if you want one.
Yeah.
Right, it's the sticker that you got, right?
Right, right, right.
And so I think you can ask to be like,
hey, I missed my meal, can I get it now?
Yeah, I remember that.
But it was, as it was already like morning time, I guess,
when I woke up.
So just like same situation, I missed the meal,
like dinner meal.
The nighttime meal, okay.
Yeah, and so the CA-san was like,
That's what she asked me.
Okay, okay, okay.
Yeah.
And I said,
And she was like,
As if, as if it was, as if you answered the wrong answer.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
The wrong answer, right?
Yeah, she was like,
Yeah, that I remember.
Oh, okay.
Yeah, that she brought me a like full meal,
but one or two like dishes wasn't there.
Oh, okay.
So she replied like alternatives.
Oh, okay, I see.
But I enjoyed it.
Oh, okay.
And soon after that, I ordered the second,
like, choushoku meal.
Okay.
And so I was happy about that, but.
Oh, okay.
Yeah.
I see, I see.
So.
So you can ask.
Yeah.
You can ask.
You should have that something.
Yeah.
Right, right, right, right, right.
So.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I remember that.
It's a little embarrassing if you wake up.
Is it?
Yeah, and you got to stick on your seat.
How does it make you feel?
Like sleeping too much.
Oh.
It's like.
Like you overslept?
Yeah, it's like everybody enjoyed meal.
06:02
I mean, everybody enjoyed what's supposed to be.
And I was the only one who just didn't, you know, showed up.
Just, you didn't attend a party?
Yeah, kind of.
Because you kind of overslept?
Yeah.
Oh.
And the CSM knows that.
Okay.
Oh, you're the idiot that fucking didn't wake up.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Oh.
It's like F.
Really?
Yeah.
Because.
She's putting F to me, like.
Really?
I know.
Because I'm jealous.
Of what?
Of your ability to sleep like a fucking baby.
Ah.
Like a fucking baby.
Is that a compliment or?
That's a huge compliment.
That is a huge compliment.
Really?
I would love to sleep like a baby in a plane.
I just miss my meal.
Yeah.
CSM would come to you and like, a little laughing at.
No, no, no.
No, she ain't laughing.
She ain't laughing, man.
She laugh.
No, no, no.
She wasn't laughing.
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
She wasn't laughing.
She wasn't laughing.
I feel so.
No.
Because like, ultimately, ultimately,
like you have that fatigue for the rest of the day, right?
Yeah, if you wake up.
Whereas you just had to just, you know,
just have to go through that just one moment of like,
well, for you, an embarrassment, not for me, right?
Yeah.
So it's ultimately what would be better?
I would definitely, I would definitely.
Sleep.
Sleep and just miss my meal.
Really?
Yeah, I would definitely love to do that.
If you sleep, you miss your meal.
Yeah.
And when you wake up, you'll be laughed at CSMs.
Oh, I mean, they're not laughing though, okay?
And you miss your movies.
You, yeah, sure.
You miss whatever you can do in a plane.
Yeah, all these entertainment, right?
Yeah, like reading, whatever you want.
Yeah, quizzes, right?
And you can see the outside.
Yeah, sure, sure, sure.
All those things I miss every time,
like I wake up and just, oh,
I'm going to arrive to somewhere.
Versus, versus not being able to sleep
without anything to do.
Oh, that's tough.
And just trying to sleep, but you can't.
Yeah.
Which sucks.
That's tough.
This sucks.
Yeah.
And once you sleep, you're waken up
by all the sound of the meals being served.
Yeah, like.
Yeah.
Then you wake up.
And then you wake up.
Oh, I just, I just was falling asleep.
Now I'm served with a meal and now I'm fully awake.
09:00
Yeah.
And this sucks.
It sucks.
I am jealous of you being able to sleep like that.
If I imagine like that situation,
yeah, I can imagine how tough is that.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It sucks.
It sucks.
Yeah.
True.
So.
But I, I surprised how am I good at sleeping.
When I went to Australia.
Okay.
I went to like diving.
Okay.
Ocean diving.
Sure.
And you can dive at the coast side
because they have crocodiles.
Oh, okay.
So you can't.
You can't.
So you have to take like a boat
or like kind of cruiser, big cruiser boat.
Yeah.
And going to like one hour, not one hour,
like 30 minutes of.
Riding.
Riding and going far away to the diving spot.
So you're safe from the sharks.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Crocodiles.
And you can see like fishes and like turtles and everything.
But that boat is famous for terrible jump and seasick.
Seasickness.
Yeah.
There's lots of waves.
Yeah.
Lots of motion.
It's like, it's not big, big go-kak-yaku-sen
or something like that.
A little stable going.
It's like.
Got it.
So you're more affected by the wind.
You know, like a ryo-shi-sen.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Image of like that.
Right.
Going down.
Yeah.
And I was very, very, I'm terrible at like seasick,
carsick and.
Yeah.
Motion sickness.
Motion sickness.
I'm very bad.
Right.
I remember.
Yeah, I remember.
Yeah.
So I read carefully all the comments,
like kuchikomis and everything and chose the easiest one.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And everybody said like.
Or like, donna ni yoidome wo nonde mo muda dakara,
kanarazu bakku wo motte iku koto.
Oh, okay.
Everybody around you is gonna be puking around.
Oh, sure.
So that's one thing you have to be careful.
Okay.
And I was.
It's gonna be a tough time.
Yeah.
And I was sitting.
And true, the ship was like,
like literally like jumping like this.
Wow.
It's like Titanic, like in a storm or something.
Yeah.
Wow, I don't, and five minutes later,
I woke up.
Oh, it's done.
And we arrived at the place.
So you were asleep the whole time.
I was sleeping with that ship, with that movement.
I was almost like boom like that.
But you were asleep.
I was sleeping, I was like this.
Oh my God.
And nothing happened to me.
I'm like, oh.
You weren't sick at all.
Nothing at all.
Oh, yeah.
Good.
And that, I was surprised to me.
Like it's not usual.
Yeah, how much you're able to sleep
12:00
in extreme environments.
Because you're flying, jumping from your seat.
Yeah.
And you're still sleeping.
Yeah.
That's fucking, that's a lot.
Yeah, that's too much.
Like I was scared.
That's a little too much, yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah, like what happens if you're in an earthquake, right?
Yes.
Like you have to evacuate fast.
You're gonna die when you're asleep, right?
For sure.
That's, yeah.
So that's something I was surprised.
That's true, that's true.
I guess that's a little too much.
That's too much.
Yeah, I guess that's a little too much.
So I didn't even enjoy anything.
You didn't enjoy the thrill.
Like the view or whatever.
Yeah, I guess that's a demerit on its own.
Yes, a little too much.
That's true, yeah.
I didn't know that you sleep that much.
Yeah, that was surprising to me, even.
Wow, wow.
Because you were nervous too, right?
Yeah, I was very nervous.
You weren't relaxed.
Your body was not at ease, but you still slept through.
Yeah, I think that made me even more easier to fall asleep.
Oh, really?
Yeah.
Because you were nervous?
Yeah, nervous, and the mind was like,
I have to prevent, I have to ignore this feeling
in some ways.
I see, I see.
And my mind was like, okay, just shut down everything.
Shut down, just try to relax.
Yeah.
And then sleep.
Yeah.
Wow, you're a good sleeper.
Yeah, yeah.
You sleep well.
Yeah, I sleep well.
But that's.
It has its ups and downs.
Yeah, I think so.
All right, thanks for listening, guys.
Thank you.
Bye-bye.
