Welcome to Kevin's English Room Podcast.
You want some hot water?
No, thank you.
So this is 田田虫さん.
Okay.
Okay.
Well, I mean there's a lot of ways to go about, right?
Yeah.
Yeah.
I mean, you can just say hi to him in a 体育の授業。
Just say, like if you're doing the same activity, 体育。
You can just say anything in the classroom, no?
What would you say?
Like, it depends on what you're doing.
If it's a football, then if you guys are in the same team or whatever,
you can just say whatever you want.
All of that is a good idea.
Yeah, whatever.
Especially,
That's the easiest 授業。
You're active, right?
Yeah.
You're moving constantly.
If you're sharing
that's really difficult to speak to somebody,
but it's just an activity.
I think the easiest 科目。
That's true.
To become friends.
Like when you're in a classroom, you're sitting down,
you have distance, you can't really get closer.
Yeah, far away.
Yeah.
It'll be so much natural, right?
Yeah.
That's true.
That is so true.
What if a guy is always with another friend?
What's your strategy there?
So, true.
If, for example, you're staying with another guy,
stay the whole time with two guys.
Yeah.
What would be the strategy there?
I understand it's difficult to, like, hey.
First of all, you can just directly go to two guys and just hi.
It's not bad at all.
Okay.
But what I think I will do is,
like, it completely depends on what they're doing, you know?
But let's say we're doing football as a classroom.
Yes.
And then we'll make a team.
And obviously, you have the timing that you can easily speak to that guy.
03:05
So, don't miss that timing.
That's it.
Oh.
What if there's no teamwork there?
What do you mean?
No team plays.
Like what?
Like jumping jacks?
Jumping jacks.
I don't know.
Like yoga or something.
Okay.
Or like, I don't know, some solo shit.
Okay.
Yeah.
Let's say yoga then.
Yeah.
So, if you do the yoga, I don't know.
I've never.
Okay.
For example, like preparing time.
You need, like, mat or something.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Like you go somewhere and prepare things.
Yeah.
That's the timing, maybe.
Or like, whatever.
Like, if he's good at yoga-ing, then like,
Oh, yeah.
Like, whatever.
It could be a good one, maybe.
Yeah, yeah.
Or like,
Kind of, maybe?
You're really good at, like, thinking of things to say to a certain stranger, to a random stranger.
Random stranger.
More than average, I think.
Really?
Yeah, yeah.
You think of, like, natural conversation starters.
I mean, because we're sharing the same classroom and we do some kind of, we're not, we're okay.
You're not a stranger at all.
Yeah.
And then somebody says to you, like,
And that sounds very, you know, weird.
Really?
Yeah.
Kind of.
But if you're sharing the same university, same classroom.
Same class, same activity.
Okay.
Yeah, to think.
Wow.
To think like that, you're a natural, man.
Really?
Yeah.
What do you do then?
I really don't have any method that I'm confident with.
Really?
Yeah.
Like, okay, maybe, but you would talk, right?
Yeah, I would talk.
Yeah.
I would talk.
Yeah.
Yeah.
But, like, how would I talk?
Really can't think of anything.
And all those ideas you said, you're like, oh, that's a great idea.
So I think you're a natural.
Yeah.
I just simulate it.
Imagine what's going on and then.
All these timings there, all these chances to spark up a conversation.
Yeah.
So don't just think, like, Taiku is the easiest subject.
Yeah, I mean, like, after you said it, I was like, true.
Yeah.
It's so much easier than when you're sitting down in a class.
06:01
Right.
Right.
Right.
Right.
Even if you have, like, a guru, maybe high chance, like, Daikodo no Jigyo, then I would
even hesitate to suddenly talk to somebody.
Yeah.
Right.
I don't think I would.
Right.
You have to, like, well-prepared and you have to sit next to him, at least.
True.
True.
So I think Shiohi got a very positive chance.
Right.
Situation-wise, you're in a good spot.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Lucky.
Lucky.
Yeah.
Right.
So finding some, maybe ask him a question or compliment him.
Yeah.
See where that conversation takes you.
Right.
Right.
Right.
Right.
Right.
Start with that.
And he wouldn't think you would, like, very kimochi warui or something.
It's so much better than just asking him out, out of the blues, right?
Right.
Yeah.
Right.
Right.
Right.
Right.
It's true.
Right.
Well, good luck with that.
Yeah, good luck with that.
Good luck on that.
Yeah.
All right.
Thanks for listening, guys.
Thank you.
