テーマは「認知バイアス」。認知バイアスとは、先入観や直感によって非合理的な判断をしてしまう心理傾向のこと。コトハは、脳がエネルギーを節約するために使う「ヒューリスティック」という近道が原因だと説明する。確証バイアスや正常性バイアス、バンドワゴン効果など様々な例を挙げ、リコは自分たちの日常にも当てはまることに気づく。二人は、バイアスを完全になくすのは難しいが、その存在を意識する「メタ認知」が大切だと話し合った。
