#10 Let's love japan more with Hello Talk

Hello everyone, this is Nina.

Today is June 7, 2023.

Today's theme is "Let's love Japan more with Hello Talk."

Have you ever heard of an app called Hello Talk? This app is very useful when learning a language other than your own.

Many people who want to learn a foreign language are using this app, and I am sure that many of you are actually using this app.

I actually use this app myself!

I study English and Korean with this app.

I think I will continue to use it for a long time to come because I still have a lot to learn!

First of all, let me briefly explain just two things you can do with this app today!

The first is that you can post texts and photos!

I use this feature as a diary! I write and post what happened that day in both Japanese and English! I feel that I am enjoying studying English by posting what I did and what I want to say every day in English!

And I am very happy when I receive good buttons and comments on my posts!

On the other hand, I really enjoy clicking the Good button and commenting on the content of other people's posts!

The second feature is the talk function.

With this feature, you can talk with people you meet on HelloTalk via text messages and voice messages. You can start with a "Nice to meet you" greeting, "I had curry for dinner tonight. I had curry for dinner today," or "Today is my day off from work. and so on. I have a normal conversation as if I were talking to a friend. It's a tool to learn daily conversation in the language you want to learn!

Actually, I met a youtuber who is the same as me through this talk function! He lives in Canada and he is posting on YouTube as a street interview to teach English to Japanese people, with Japanese and English subtitles!

I was very happy to be able to interact with other YouTubers!

みなさんは、ハロートークというアプリを聞いたことがありますか?

このアプリは、自分の母国語以外の言語を学ぶときに、とっても役に立つものです。

外国語を学びたいという多くの方が、このアプリを使っているので、

実際にこのアプリを使っているよ、という方は多いのではないでしょうか。

私も実際にこのアプリを愛用しています。

私は、英語と韓国語をこのアプリで勉強しています。

まだまだ学ぶことがたくさんあるので、これからもずっと使い続けていくと思います。

今日は、このアプリでできることを簡単に2つだけ説明したいと思います。

まず1つ目は、文章や写真を投稿することができる、ということです。

私はこの機能を日記として使っています。

その日あったことを、英語と日本語で書いて投稿しているんです。

毎日自分の言いたいことや、自分のしたことを英語を使って投稿することで、楽しく英語を勉強することができているなと感じています。

そして、自分が投稿したものにグッドボタンやコメントが届くと、とっても嬉しくなります。

逆に、他の人が投稿したものにグッドボタンを押したり、内容についてコメントするのがとっても楽しいです。

ハロートークでの交流

2つ目の機能は、トーク機能です。

この機能では、ハロートークで知り合った人とテキストメッセージやボイスメッセージで会話することができます。

はじめましてという挨拶から、

今日の夜ご飯は、カレーを食べたよとか、

今日は仕事が休みの日だよとか、

友達と話すかのように普通の会話をしています。

学びたい言語での日常会話を学べるツールとなっています。

実はこの機能で、最近私と同じYouTuberに出会ったんです。

その方はカナダに住んでいて、日本人に英語を教えるために街頭インタビューをして、

日本語と英語の字幕をつけてYouTubeに投稿しているようです。

YouTuber同士での交流もできて、とっても嬉しかったです。

こんなことあるんだっていう感じになりました。
