ICL手術のデメリットの紹介
Welcome to Kevin's English Room Podcast. Hello. So you know I did the ICL
surgery for my eye. Yeah. So there is this one huge demerit. Okay. Downside of ICL that no one
told me about. Oh. No one warned me about. Wow. So I was like, I thought this was important to
tell you guys. This is going to be a very, very valuable video. Yeah. So. Okay.
How close can you see up close without being blurry? So hold your finger up like this. Yeah.
Okay. And you're looking at it perfectly. You're on focus. Yeah. Right. Go closer and closer until
you're off focus. Um, how, how not focus? Like, it's like a, like, let's say there's like a small,
tiny dot, like on the tip of your finger. Just imagine it. And tell me if that's not it. Just
stop when it becomes blurry. Okay. Yeah. Like this. Um, well, I can still see them, but yeah,
you can still see them, but you can't, you can't focus your eyes and then you can't get it on focus.
Right. Yeah. You can't, even if you try hard, you can't get it on focus. Um, well, I can still.
Okay. Go, go, go far. Go until you can. Um, um, yeah, I guess. Okay. All right. Um, hold on.
Yeah, I can. Yeah. Yeah. Maybe. Okay. So that's about, that's not the song. Yeah. Wait, I can,
you can go for, you can go for more. Yeah. Kind of. That's impressive. Yeah. Oh yeah. It's blurry.
Oh yeah. Okay. So right there. Yeah. Yeah. It's like this close. So that's about what, uh, how
many centimeters is that? Five. Five centimeters. Five. Yeah, exactly. Five. Five centimeters. Sure.
5.1. Yeah. I was similar to that. Right. Right now. Let me do it. Okay. Boom. Right there.
Okay. Hold on. That's how far something has to be for it to be on focus. Oh, okay. So that's about
how long? Um, 12, 12 centimeters, right? Oh, it doubled. So you need distance. Yeah. You need

distance. Oh, this is kind of like launching Logan. Yeah. If it's Logan, you can't see close.
The way like you, you do like this. Yeah. You have to, you have to get it far. It's like that.
Okay. Right. Well, I mean, no one looks at it this close, right? But I was able to look at it
this close, but now I can't because of the ICL. Wow. So that's a huge downside if anyone ever
does look at something close and it happens like on a regular basis as well. Like, you know, I,
you know, I guess something off my face and I look at it. Oh yeah. I'm used to the movement of
my old eye and I look at it and like, I can't, I can't get it on focus. So I'm like always reminded
of like, oh right. My eyes changed. I have to get it far and look at it. Okay. And, and, and right.
No one has, no one, no one told me this. Okay. I've looked at several like videos of the people
who did the ICL. None of them said it. So let me tell you that this is a possibility. Okay.
This is a possibility and it happened to me. Um, it's not that I'm not affected that much by it.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Like even if I knew this, would I still do it? Yes. I would still do the
ICL, but it's something that I should have been warned about. I feel like. Yeah. Yeah. Oh yeah.
So it's a, it's a, it's a huge new downside, right? Yeah. For some people. Right. Right. Right.
Yeah. At least it's the downside. At least one of the elements. Yeah. At least. Right.
And, um, about the hollow glare. Okay. Yes. You know, when you look at something bright,
especially in a dark setting, there's a ring and they've all told me that it's going to go away
in six months. Yeah. I think it's been like definitely more than six months. The hollow
glare is still there. Oh, do you see that? I do see it. I do see it's not, has not gone away.
ICL手術のデメリット
Okay. Yeah. Right. Does it bother me? No, not regularly, but like, let's say that you're in a
very dark place and you're maybe illumination. Look at it. Yeah. I mean, that kind of bothers
you. You gotta get a lot of hollow glares. Am I looking at the, the, the, the trees or am I
looking at the hollow glare? Like it's confusing a little bit. Okay. Yeah. So yeah. Is it still
beautiful? It's still beautiful, but bothersome. You know, you're not looking at the actual artwork.
Yeah. You're kind of looking at it with some added effects. So, right. I see. Yeah. So that's that.
Okay. Okay. Yeah. But still, still, would I still do it? Even with this downside? Yes, I would. Yeah.
It's the upside is so good that it's very rare that you see this close things. Yeah. You just,
yeah. Yeah. Right. Yeah. But it must be very important video for, for, for, for those who,
right. Absolutely. You know, considering to do that surgery. Absolutely. Absolutely. So, yeah.
How's your glasses, by the way? You bought glasses. Yes. Yeah. Are you, are you using them?
Sometimes. Yes, I do. I do. I do wear them, but it's for the, um, um, like a longer range
for longer range seeing. Yeah. Glasses. So I don't, I don't use it like every,
like every day it's for like, when I drive a car or when I go somewhere like outside and just
need to see something far. Okay. Yeah. Do you still get a little bit like dizzy? Yes. Yes. Okay.
Especially because I don't wear them every day, you know, like once a week, the moment I wear
that it's like, Ooh, it's like, it's like, yeah, it's something is shaking and yeah. You know? Yeah.
It's bothering. Yeah. Right. I see. But, but you'll get used to it. You'll get used to it. Yeah.
I feel like I need to train myself wearing them all the time. Yeah. Right. Right. Right. So,
right. Yeah. That's what I should do. Right. Right. Yeah. Are you going to get new designs?
Yeah. Yeah. I'm, I'm considering it. Yeah. Yeah. I do something new, like something new color,
maybe new. I don't know. New shape. Maybe. What's the one you have right now? Is it like,
it's like, kind of like this. It's like, it's like on top like this. It's edgy that it's not
around. Yeah. Edgy on top. And then it's round round. The bottom half is the round and is it
very corset-y? Well, not that much. It's, it's, it's, it looks like just as our usual classes,
I guess. Okay. Yeah. I think it's not something like very strange. Okay. You bought them at the
special store, right? You were like drawn into it. Right. Right. Right. So thanks for listening,
guys. Thank you. Bye-bye.
