Welcome to Kevin's English Room Podcast. Hello.Hey guys. So, after the wear on the car, do you
see any of the football games? Ah, no, I don't seeany football. Somehow, my feed
has not been feeding me soccer, football contentas well. Anymore? Yeah, somehow. I see.
Okay. Yeah. I saw one news that FIFA is opening upits stocks, partial stocks to public. Yeah. And
the people in FIFA, the players are like, well, ifthat's going to happen, I'm not joining FIFA
anymore. Yeah, yeah. And it's like a potentially ahuge problem. Exactly. Is what I heard. Yeah,
good. Good. Yeah. Okay. You know, the guy, thechairman of the FIFA, the Infantino guy, he
has been in very good relationship with Trump.Okay. And, you know, did so many things. Right.
Like I remember, you know, the red card incident, right? That's crazy. Yeah. Yeah. So, and now he's
trying to, you know, publicize those stocks. Okay. And do many things, very tended to be
tended. Is that right? Leaning towards? Leaningtowards to a business side. Money making. Money
making side. Okay. All right. And. But he did agood job with the money making thing, right?
Maybe. If you look at his several years of work atFIFA, he's been able to sort of,
that's what I heard. It's like, he's been able tosort of raise the sales on FIFA is what I heard.
But yeah, it's true. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So he'skind of guy like that. Okay. Very business minded
guy. Instead of like the heart and warmth ofsoccer. Yeah. It's more like the money value.
Right. Right. Right. Right. Okay. And there are somuch amount of games in one seasons.
Okay. You know, like the league, league games, youhave cup games, you have tournament games,
you have tournament of Europe games, you havetournament of world games and everything to make
money. Sure. So that player players have to dolike three games in one week. Sure. That is crazy
for
your body, your physical. That is too much, butthat's FIFA is doing trying to do like make more
money, make more, do more games. Do more games.Yeah. And trying to find, trying to like make new
tournament, new, new cups and everything. And, um,and that's now like people saying no, no to,
03:03
to that, to business minded, those likestrategies. Okay. And, um, yeah. Infantino was
very, um, accused by those, um, heavy actions.Okay. And now he's going to be maybe, um,
push out from the FIFA maybe. Okay. Maybe. Whenis, uh, when does his term end?
I don't know. Okay. I don't know. Yeah. I have noidea. Okay. I don't know how it works. Like,
is it like one year, two year, four years? Idon't, I don't even know the system. Okay. Okay.
Okay. Yeah. Yeah. They have like FIFA that's likeinternational fit like a federation
international federation. And you have UEFA that'sEuropean federation. You have, um, Asian,
you have African and everything. And now like UEFAEuropean federation is very against
the FIFA, the FIFA. Okay. And they are veryfighting each other. Okay. Okay. Okay. UEFA
European side saying, if you keep doing like this,we are going to not joining to any of FIFA
cups. Okay. And if there's no European players, then it makes no sense, right? That's where all
the superstars are. Yeah. Yeah. You don't haveSpain. You don't have France. You don't have
Mbappe. Yeah. Right. And everybody. Yeah. I wonderhow this is going to end. Yeah. Yeah.
I mean, it's a good thing to make money in somepoints. So I get his point though. Yeah. In,
in some areas, but like ultimately it'll maybelead to more players, right. Wanting to join the
league, you know, have better, you know, salaryfor the players overall. Yeah. It'd be a good
deal. Yeah. Yeah. The real problem is he himself, like he's not, um, he's a bit suspicious of like
his money. Like he's using FIFA money intohimself. I see that everything that he does with
FIFA money is personal gain. Yeah. It's, it's,that's the problem. I see. He's like very
transparent.
He's very honest and everybody can trackeverything. It's good to, um, you know,
right. The industry gets more money. That's great.Yeah. But the transparency thing. Yeah. Oh,
that's the problem. Yeah. Okay. He's yeah. I see.I see. So, but yeah. Yeah. I don't know what's,
what's going to be happening next. What aboutJapan? How's the Japanese league going? Um,
06:06
so the biggest news would be so JD group, you meanJD, right? Yeah. Yeah. So we have JD. Okay.
That's a professional football league in Japan. Weused to do, we used the, the J league season
starts used to starts from April. I mean, I meannot every, but, but now we changed into from
start from September. Oh, just like, um, theEuropean leagues, American semester things in
every other countries. Okay. So that's so twomonths, two months difference. Um, start from,
sorry. So it's like a Western style. Okay. Okay.Exactly. Got it. Got it. Yeah. So to make it
easier for the players to transfer from to doesEuropean leagues. Okay. Okay. Other countries
and makes it easier to do a friendly match duringthe press season. Right. Right. Right. Right. So
that's the biggest news. Okay. Okay. Okay. Yeah.Sounds good though. Yeah. Sounds like a good plan.
Yeah, I think so too. Right. So yeah, before thatthey need to adjust the timing, right?
So they did a special league called JD 100年高僧リーグ.That was the name of the league.
And they split into, I guess that was like aWestern team and like Eastern team. And then
they did a league battle in between, a specialperiod and it's finished. And then now finally
start JD, like a brand new JD. Okay. Okay. Okay.Yeah. All right. Okay. Yep. And now the older,
you know, Premier League, La Liga and everythingstarted the fresh new league, fresh new season.
After the World Cup, obviously there are so manytransfers between clubs. The players are like
many transfers. Does Mr. Shiogai taken by anyoverseas league? So he's been in Germany.
Okay. My memory was correct. And I don't think hetransferred in this time. Gotcha. He's in
the same team, I think. I think. Is Mr. Mitomadoing well? He's injured.
Injured situation. Oh, he's injured again? Thesame injury. He's under the
curing period. Okay. Okay. Okay. I think he does arehabilitation.
And trainings a little bit maybe. It said it wouldbe September or October that he comes back.
Okay. So maybe need one more month maybe. Yeah. All right. Very looking forward to. I'm looking.
09:06
Yeah. I'm looking forward to him and being inaction again. Yeah. Yeah. Because obviously he was
very, very sad. That he couldn't be in the WorldCup, right? Yes. Yeah. So I'm sure.
Right. All right. Yep. Thanks for sitting guys.Thank you. Bye-bye.
