メキシコのチョコレート食べてみた

もっと美味しいチョコはメキシコにもあるはず。。。

00:00
Welcome to Kevin's English from podcast.
Hello everyone.
All right.
Do you want to try those?
Yes.
Yes, I do.
Yeah.
So today.
Yeah, we had a meeting with the Amazon's tantos.
Yeah, Amazon music.
And she, they went to Mexico.
Yeah.
Like several days before this.
And like bought us a gift.
Yes.
A chocolate.
Yeah.
Chocolate gift.
Didn't know that Mexico is famous for those chocolates.
I know, never heard of it.
I guess they're, I mean, I guess it is.
I don't know.
Yeah.
Or they're just saying shit.
Yeah, trying to.
Trying to sell shit.
Yeah.
But the one that I received was this chocolate Chocoita looking thing, but the flavor is
chili.
Wow.
Chili flavored chocolate.
Never heard of it.
But I guess it's common in Mexico.
That's what she said.
Yeah.
She said like in like almost every snacks, every sweets, every, you know,
Candies.
Yeah.
Even in like cookies.
Yeah.
Like chili sauce in it.
Spicy stuff.
And it's pretty crazy.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So first I thought it's just kind of butter game thing.
Yeah.
Like for fun, right?
Yeah.
For fun, but it's actually like common and popular in Mexico.
Yeah.
What's your flavor?
So mine is Tequila.
Tequila.
Yeah.
God.
That's a Mexican thing.
Yeah.
You know how there's in Japan, um, that's pretty popular.
That's pretty good.
Yes.
Yes.
Yes.
So I guess alcohol and chocolate isn't such a bad mixture.
Yeah.
Right.
But tequila is unheard of.
Right.
Right.
And tequila is Mexico.
So I guess.
Yeah.
It's worth a try.
Let's get that.
Uh, hasami.
Which one?
Thank you.
Thank you.
Just, uh, well, I think I'm good with this one.
I mean, wow.
Where's that?
I don't know.
It's got like a design in the back.
Yeah.
It's like a, this is a package design logo in the middle.
Yeah.
Mine too.
Oh yeah.
All right.
Let me.
Do you want to try one or no?
Um, you're good.
You're going to go with the tequila.
Yeah.
All right.
Yeah.
03:00
I knew you were going to say that.
I knew you were going to go with the, with the less, less eating version, less eating
option.
You know, smells okay.
Like I don't smell that much of like.
Yeah.
Something weird.
I don't, it's just okay.
Chocolate.
Good chocolate.
Itadakimasu.
Itadakimasu.
So.
So.
I'm not feeling much of the chili yet.
Okay.
Let me take another bite.
Yeah.
Hmm.
Hmm.
Okay.
I'm actually not that, I'm not feeling the chili.
Hmm.
Are you feeling the tequila?
No.
No, don't feel any alcohol.
Hmm.
Yeah.
What I do feel, I feel the chocolate.
Yeah, of course.
That's because that's chocolate.
And the flavor of the chocolate is a very low quality chocolate.
Yeah.
Like I feel like you can't get any more lower quality than this.
Like I feel like.
Is that because of the chili taste?
I doubt it.
See, in the chocolate, I felt some crunches.
Yeah, me too.
Oh, you had it too?
Yeah, a little tiny.
I suspect that that is the flavor.
Yeah.
Like for you, it's the tequila.
For me, it's the chili.
Yeah.
But I barely felt any.
So for the non-crunchy part, it's chocolate only.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
The chocolate itself is, I've never had a cheaper tasting chocolate than this.
Whoa.
Hmm.
I mean, is this even chocolate?
06:01
But Mexico is famous for its chocolate.
That's what Mexico is saying, right?
Yeah, it's a country of chocolate.
I don't feel, I feel zero cacao.
I feel it's just, it's so, it's too light.
Yeah, me too.
Me too.
Very light.
Yeah, it's like a very light.
Yeah.
Wow.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Um.
Hmm.
But it's not that bad.
Oh, okay.
I understand your, I understand.
I mean, I don't feel any like alcohol-ness from this chocolate, but I feel, you know,
when you drink tequila, you put a little like a lemon or lime.
Yes.
Or like you put salt.
Yes.
I feel it.
Oh, you feel the salt.
Salt.
Like the aftertaste.
Lime-ness.
Oh, you do.
Yeah.
Oh wait, I just got the chili.
Oh.
Yeah, it just came.
It was, it's a little bit spicy, like really just a tiny bit spicy.
Oh, okay.
And the um, ato-aji, the aftertaste is really like it's the same aftertaste with the chili.
Oh.
Yeah.
I get it now.
Oh.
It's, it's kasuka.
It's really just, I can barely taste it.
Okay, okay.
But it's there.
Yeah.
I don't know if it goes well.
I'm not so confident on that.
Okay.
But I feel it.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Well, same here.
Like I feel it.
Feel it, but um, yeah.
Well thank you for this.
Yes, thank you for the experience.
Thank you for the um, that was such an experience.
Yeah.
Thank you for the souvenir.
Thank you.
Yeah, we enjoyed this.
That was very enjoyable.
Yeah, thank you.
Yeah.
I'm just gonna casually put this back in here.
Wow.
My dad always goes to Mexico for business.
Yeah.
He hates the foods there.
Oh really?
Yeah.
Why?
Is it so spicy?
Because it, well yeah, one, he can't eat spicy food.
Oh.
Because the quality itself, he says it's terrible.
Oh really?
Yeah.
Wow.
That's what he always tells me that that's how I kind of grew up.
My dad would always teach me that the food in Mexico is bad.
Wow.
Son, food in Mexico is bad.
So when you face like Mexican foods, then oh, this might be terrible.
Yeah.
I already have a negative like, negative reaction to it.
09:01
Yeah.
Yeah.
He taught me that the food in Mexico is bad and the air in China is bad.
That's the two things that he taught me as I grew up.
Printing into your brain.
Yeah.
Yeah.
All right.
But it's called the Maria.
Te, te, tepozdaria.
What do you think?
Did I say it right, you think?
Yeah.
Maria.
Tepportran.
Is it R?
Not Z?
Yeah, it could be R. I thought it was Z.
Yeah.
Let me see the back.
Hmm.
It doesn't say.
Hmm.
Yeah.
You can buy this online at villa, villa, vanilla.
Yeah.
Dot com dot MX.
Yeah.
Wow.
All right.
Well, I'm going to go to the next one.
All right.
Thank you for the experience.
Chocolate with tequila.
Chocolate with chili.
All righty.
Yeah.
Thanks for listening, guys.
Bye bye.
(laughing)
