Rediscovering the Joy of Reading and Building a Life with Books
In this episode, I talk about my lifelong relationship with books, from being a slow reader as a child to filling my home with books in multiple languages.
Growing up in a book-loving family, reading was always present in my life, even when it didn't come easily. We discuss childhood memories, family expectations, and how my relationship with reading gradually changed over the years.
The conversation also explores the practical and emotional sides of living with books: building bookshelves from wooden crates, organizing a growing collection, and creating a home environment where books are always within reach. Along the way, we touch on reading in Japanese, German, English, and French, and how language learning has become part of everyday life.
