First of all, let's see what kind of lives are performed by Nogizaka.
One kind if birthday live. This is a live performed every year and celebrate the anniversary of Nogizaka.
Usually many songs are performed in live and the spotlight is on history or the tradition of Nogizaka.
And second one is the Manatsu no Zenkoku tour. It means the midsummer nationwide tour.
This nationwide tour is held on every summer and this is the only tour that every member participates in.
And the third one is Under Tour. This is performed by under members.
And under members mean that the members not included in the Senbatsu members.
And Senbatsu members is the members that songs the main song included in every single.
So in short, members that don't sing the main song in the single are the under members.
The fourth one is mini live. That is held when every single are released.
The live is a part of the release event and not an individual event.
And the last one is other type of events. There are many type of other lives but the most important one is graduation concert or graduation ceremony.
So that's the kinds of live that are performed by Nogizaka.
So topic today was is Nogizaka the top idol group in the live scene.
So first let's look at the overview.
In 2022, 470,000 came to Nogizaka's live and that is 11th place in the Japanese live scene.
And if you know that Nogizaka is 11th place in the Japanese live scene, you may feel that Nogizaka is not such a major group in Japan.
And that is half right but half is wrong.
So I have a top 30 ranking right in front of me. So let me see one by one.
Let's see from the top one.
The top one is EXILE which is a male group very famous for dancing.
And the second one is KING & PRINCE. Those are the very very famous male idol group belonging to JANIS.
JANIS is a huge entertainment office in Japan. So if you like J-POP, you may know this JANIS.
And the third is JANIS WEST.
This group is also a JANIS group.
And fourth is KISS MY FOOT 2. This is also a JANIS group.
And fifth is a group called MR. CHILDREN. That is a pure music artist.
And sixth, seventh, eighth are all JANIS group.
So getting back from the top, EXILE.
Those are male group. The second is male group. The third is male group.
Fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth, tenth and eleventh is NOGIZAKA.
And twelfth, thirteenth, fourteenth, fifteenth are all male groups.
So in general, in Japanese live scene, male artists are very popular.
And if you want to see a female artist, you have to continue to 24th.
So if you see the whole chart,
NOGIZAKA is the only female artist competing with other male artists.
And also only group that has potential to break into the top 10.
Getting back to today's topic.
Is NOGIZAKA the top idol group in live scene?
The answer is yes, definitely yes.
You can say that NOGIZAKA is top among girl group.
And also the only female artist.
That can break into the top 10.
So let's see how much they're playing an active role by each type of lives.
So the first one is birthday live.
In 2021, the 10th anniversary birthday live was held in Nissan Stadium.
And Nissan Stadium has capacity of 75,000.
And that is the largest in Japan.
So obviously, NOGIZAKA is enough attractive to gather fans in the largest venue in Japan.
Well, strictly speaking, Nissan Stadium may not be the largest.
Because the official announced capacity is the number for the mainly use.
So if for Nissan Stadium, it's the number of people who comes when it's used for a soccer stadium.
But that's not important.
Nissan Stadium is obviously top one or two in Japan.
The other one is National Stadium.
Then let's move on to the nationwide tour.
Nationwide tour is held in all Japan from north to south.
And this year, it's held in 7 venues in 16 days.
So let's look if those venues are major.
This year, the venues are Hokkaido, Osaka, Hiroshima, Okinawa, Aichi, Miyagi, and Tokyo.
I suppose most of the listeners don't know those cities.
And also, I think you're not even interested.
So in short, those cities are the largest cities in the area.
The largest means in terms of population.
And also, almost all the cities are included in the top 10 cities in Japan.

The first one is Hokkaido.
The capacity is 70,000.
That is the third place in Hokkaido.
And then it's Osaka.
The capacity is almost the same, 16,000.
That's seventh place in Osaka.
And then next, Hiroshima.
It's a bit smaller, 10,000.
That's fourth in Hiroshima.
And Okinawa is also 10,000.
That's second in Okinawa.
Aichi, also 10,000.
That's fourth in the area.
Next, Miyagi is much smaller, 7,000.
That's the third place in Miyagi.
And last is Jingu, Tokyo.
That's relatively larger.
And it's 31,000.
And that's third place in Tokyo.
So basically, Nogizaka is taking place in like third or fourth largest.
venue in the area.
And the capacity is like 15,000.
So it means it's not the top in Japan.
But they are performing in quite a big venue in each area.
And Nogizaka is attractive enough.
And the next is on the tour.
As far as I know, Nogizaka is the only group that is holding an on the tour.
And maybe also the only group that is holding under live.
Because usually senbatsu members, the members singing the main song in each single, are very popular.
But on the other hand, under members are not popular enough to hold a tour or even a live.
So the fact on the tour is held itself means that Nogizaka is tremendously popular among idol groups.
The next one is mini live.
Mini live is performed in a single release event.
And it's more like a ceremony than a live.
They sing like six songs included in that single.
And they don't sing songs not included.
And also they don't sing and dance in live costume.
But they wear uniform.
Uniform is the one that they are wearing in Nogizaka Kojichu under construction.
And I think this mini live is not counted in the Japan ranking.
And last one is the other types of lives.
There are several types.
But as I introduced in the beginning, most important one is graduation concert or graduation ceremony.
So recently what kind of graduation concert were held is...
One is Manatsu Akimoto-chan, the second captain of Nogizaka.
And the other one is Asuka Saito-chan.
Asuka-chan was the most popular member when she was in Nogizaka.
So let's say Asuka-chan's graduation concert took place in Tokyo Dome.
And Tokyo Dome is one of the largest venue in Tokyo.
And at that time, 55,000 people joined the concert in one day.
And the concert was held two days.
So approximately 110,000 joined Asuka-chan's concert.
And how much do you think application there were to join the concert?
The answer is 630,000.
Can you believe it?
So that means how Asuka-chan was popular and loved by fans.
By the way, for nationwide tour, I applied 23 tickets and won zero.
So there are so many potential fans that want to those lives.
But the capacity is not enough to bring in those fans.
So Nogizaka has potential to hold lives in much larger venues in the future.
And if it happens, more fans, including fans from overseas, can join the live.
But I suppose it won't happen.
Because if you can't fill the venue, it damages the brand.
In Japan, basically the live should be packed.
And that's necessary and that's natural.
So artists select venues that they can 100% fill.
In that sense, Okinawa live in nationwide tour was almost.
It was finally full, but it may fail to achieve.
Also, bigger venue is not necessarily a good thing for fans.
Because it's sometimes too far away to see the screen, the stage, and of course the members.
My own feeling is little over 10,000 is the best number except for Jingu.
So why not Jingu?
Because Jingu is a very, very special place for Nogizaka.

And capacity is not the problem.
Even if the capacity is 100 or 100 million, it doesn't matter.
Taking place itself in Jingu is the most important.
