小説家の妻からの手紙
Hello, welcome to Letters Lane. I'm Sofia. Tonightfrom this little room, I'd like to
share a letter with you. Tonight's letter iscalled A Secret Letter Written by a Novelist's
Wife. Behind every finished story, there is a life
that continues quietly in the background. Therustle of manuscript pages, a book left
open on a table, the fading light of eveningthrough a window, and somewhere among those
ordinary moments, a feeling grows without askingto be noticed. Tonight, we share one
of those feelings. Now, let us open the letter.
暮らしの中の小さな記憶
Letter from a Novelist's Wife. My dear, the housefelt unusually quiet this
morning. Not because anything was missing, butbecause I noticed how much of this place
has become familiar through the years. The soundof the kettle, the creak in the hallway,
the chair you always pull out before sitting down.I suppose most people would overlook
such things. Lately, I've found myself paying moreattention to them. Perhaps that is what
happens when life settles into a rhythm. Theordinary moments begin to feel like small
treasures. Earlier today, I was straightening thebookshelves
and found one of your old bookmarks tucked insidea novel. I smiled when I saw it. You
probably don't remember leaving it there. I keptit in my hand for a while anyway. Funny
how something so small can brighten an afternoon. The weather has been pleasant these past few
days. The kind of weather that makes you want toopen every window and let the air
wander through the rooms. I hope you have taken amoment to enjoy it. You spend so much

time thinking, writing, and chasing ideas that Isometimes wonder if you remember to
pause. Not for long, just long enough to lookoutside. Long enough to notice the light changing
across the garden. Long enough to finish a warmmeal before it gets cold.
There is nothing important I wanted to tell youtoday. No grand news. No special occasion.
I simply wanted to send a few words your way. Tosay that I hope your days are gentle. That
you are taking care of yourself. And that, in allthe small and ordinary moments that
make up a life, I remain quietly grateful to sharethem with you. Take your coat if the
evening turns cool. And don't stay out too late.I'll be looking forward to hearing

the front door open. Always. Yours. Not everyimportant feeling arrives with a grand moment.
Sometimes it lives in familiar rooms, in everydayroutines, and in the simple comfort of knowing
someone is there. Tonight's letter reminded usthat affection is often found in the smallest
details. The things we hardly notice until wepause and look. And now, I'd like to introduce
tonight's song. When the hallway light is on.
Without a sound. The city lights. Stay where thelaugh is hearing. Behind me that you're. Just
ordinary day. About us.
The city lights. Stay where it's like I. All thesame. My fave. Which light glows against the blue.
Thank you for spending this time with us here atLetters Lane. As you go on with your evening,
perhaps there is someone whose presence hasquietly become part of your world. Someone
you may not think to thank everyday, yet whoseplace in your life means more than words can
easily say. Until next time, I'll see you in mynext letter. This is Sophia from Letters
Lane. Good night.
