According to police, between November 25th and 29th of last year, the man is suspected of using his colleague's employee email address to apply for the purchase of a total of 7,027 items, including refrigerators and televisions, worth a total of approximately 26.23 million yen on an electronics retailer's online shopping website.
The man allegedly sent false information, making it appear as if he had used convenience store payment, and had it recorded.
When questioned, the man admitted to the charges, saying, "It was fun to cause a commotion, and it also helped me relieve stress."
