On the 9th, police rearrested two Vietnamese men and women on suspicion of theft of agricultural machinery.
The rearrested suspects are Pham Van Nam (37 years old) and Bui Thi Thanh Nga (38 years old) of Miyako-cho, Isesaki City.
The two are suspected of conspiring with others to steal a power sprayer for spraying liquids from a farmer's greenhouse in Fukaya City, Saitama Prefecture, at around 5 pm on February 23rd.
In Gunma and Saitama Prefectures, there have been a series of thefts of agricultural machinery since around autumn last year, and the prefectural police have been conducting a joint investigation in response.
Between January and March of this year, 32 cases of theft of power sprayers have been confirmed in the prefectures alone."
