Brazilian Man Arrested for Tire Theft

On the 14th, Gunma Prefectural Police arrested de Mello Suzuki Matsui, a 30-year-old Brazilian national living in Oizumi Town, on suspicion of theft.
The suspect is accused of stealing four studless tires from a male resident in the hallway of an apartment in Isesaki City at around 12:30 AM on May 4th.
The suspect was identified on security camera footage.
In the Isesaki Police Station jurisdiction, there were 137 cases of tire theft from January to June this year, an increase of 80 from the same period last year.
