Subaru athlete Kenya Karasawa selected as a representative athlete for the Paris Paralympics.
On the 26th, the Japan Para Athletics Federation announced the 16 athletes who have been selected to represent Japan at the Paris Paralympics.
Subaru athlete Kenya Karasawa, 29 years old, was selected in the men's 1500m and 5000m.
Inspired by the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Games, Karasawa began competing,
and will make his debut at the 2021 Tokyo Games.
He won a silver medal in the 5000m and placed 4th in the 1500m.
After working at the Prefectural School for the Blind and the Prefectural Social Welfare Foundation, he joined the corporate Subaru team in 2022.
