Jenny Simpson is a three-time Olympian, Olympic medalist, and one of the most decorated American middle-distance runners of her generation.

In June, she collapsed at a community mile race. No pulse. More than twenty minutes of CPR. We sat down eight weeks later, before she'd spoken publicly.
