Hello. Welcome to Audio Japan. I'm Taiki Arai.Today, I have some news to share.
I've just started a new podcast called, Mangekyo,Japan Through History.
On Mangekyo, I explore Japan's famous placesthrough the lens of history and share the
stories most people never hear. By the end of eachepisode, I hope you'll want to learn more
and see these places in a whole new way. As someof you may know, I used to make episodes for
Audio Japan. It's been a while since my last one,and I'm sorry for the long break. So,
why am I back with a new show? There are tworeasons. First, I wanted to bring the Japanese
and English versions together in one place. OnMangekyo, every episode comes in two versions,
one in Japanese and one in English, all on thesame channel. Second, I'm currently starting to
become a licensed tour guide, and I'm aiming toget certified in about a year. So, I decided to
renew the show and focus on what I want to shareas a guide, Japan's famous places and their
history. The Kyoto series has already started. Thefirst episode asks, why is Kyoto built like a
grid? The links are in the episode description, soplease give it a listen and follow the show if
you enjoy it. I hope to see you over on Mangekyo,Japan through history. Thanks for listening.
