カエル化現象の再考

Remember several months ago or maybe years ago, we've talked about
that cringe moment when girls are dating guys. I forgot what it was called. カエル化現象
Ah, yeah, okay. We talked about it. Yeah, I remember that for several months ago. And well,
the thing with the カエル化現象 is that it's already in the past. No one's talking about it
anymore. But the thing is, there's just one thing that I feel that I think kind of fits in the
category, but like no one really talked about it. There are so many カエル化現象-ish things,
right? Yeah, I remember you searched on the internet and many weird... Like 会計で小銭をこう
or even like 財布を取り出したとき
Those things. Those are the popular ones. I know no one's talking about this anymore, but
in most of the things, I kind of got it, but like I never really like... It's not that bad,
right? But there's one thing that I actually felt, been feeling. And I want to know if you
agree or not. I want to know your thoughts on this. Okay. A buffet. Okay. What do you think
about that? A buffet. If someone is excited for a buffet, that's cringe. I don't know, is it?
Yeah. Do you agree? On the first sight? Okay. I'm not talking about dates.
Yeah, okay. It can apply to dates as well, but I'm just talking about humans in general.
Okay. Someone gets excited for... You mean like biking in general? Yeah. In Japanese. Yes.
It's someone holding their tray, walking down all the aisles,
looking what they want to put on their plate. That's 帰るか現状.
I want to know if you agree. I'm all right. Zero? Zero. Yeah, not that much. But if somebody's like
trying to eat everything, like put every dishes in like this on the tray, and then finishes,
and then go to the sliding tray. If somebody does that, and that's a calm guy, man, be calm. Cool.
Sure. That's what I understand, but that's not the same. That's a different situation, I think.
That's a different situation. What do you mean, got excited? What do you exactly do if somebody's
got excited? For example, it's very difficult to actually put it into words, but it's just,

it's like you have everything that you want in a buffet. Yeah. You can
eat as much as you want, in anything you want. Yeah, if you want to. And like the fact that
you're like, you're drawn by that, drawn to that, it's, that's, you get what, I hope you get what
I'm saying. Okay. It's like, this is what's difficult about 帰るか現状. It's very hard to
very hard to reason why. Yeah. It's just something you feel. Yeah.
Is it? Okay. Hold on. There's similar, there's a similar aspect to this. When I go to like
飲食店, and like 看板, right? And then like ランジメニュー. And then like, for example,
in the corner, there's like 三種のスープから選び放題みたいな。 That, that gives off a
very similar energy. Is it? I don't know. Okay. This can be very easily misunderstood,
but let me just say it. Okay. The fact that you're craving for food, the fact that you're craving
for what you want. Yeah. I guess that's kind of like hitting the core of what I'm feeling here.
Like, you're showing your desire. Like, you're showing what you want. Yeah. Which is absolutely
nothing wrong. But like, maybe kind of then that's the vibe I'm feeling here. Okay.
I, yeah, for the last explanation. Oh, yeah, I kind of understand that. Yeah. If somebody's like
too greedy for like, for example, money, they're like, oh, that's not good. That's not, that's not
cool. That's not beautiful. Is that the same thing? Like craving for something strongly,
showing that desire strongly? Yeah. Not exact. Not exact? Not quite. So that doesn't happen to you
when it's money, when it comes to money? When someone's greedy for money. Well, let's say,
for example, uh, uh, people in line for sales. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That doesn't,
that doesn't, I don't feel anything when I see that. Okay. When people are like, okay,
10 PM, I'm sorry, 10 AM and the department opens and people were running towards that sales
section. I don't feel anything. Oh, you don't know anything about that. Okay. Okay. Yeah. Huh.
So, okay. So, okay. I don't think it's possible to completely understand.
自己理解と消費行動
It's just, Oh yeah. And it's recent. It's a recent one. Yeah. But I feel like it's getting
stronger and stronger inside me. Okay. I don't know. It's weird though. Yeah. Um, what about
this? Like in, uh, let's say in, in the midnight. Okay. Um, someone got so hungry. Okay. And going
to the convenience store. Oh, nothing. Zero. I don't feel anything getting ice cream. Yeah.
Like cup noodles. Yeah. Chips. Zero. Zero. Okay. So it happens. It's the buffet. It's the buffet.
I don't know. So I understand the concept though. Yeah. But to me, um, the, the aligning to the
sales, um, being too greedy for the money or like going midnight and convenient, like getting like
many noodles. Yeah. Everything has a kind of same category to me. Oh, okay. Like it's not, well,
it's not sweet. It's, it's not cool. Yeah. Yeah. So that's the level I'm, I'm understanding. Okay.
Deeper. You do not, you're not, you're not seeing it. Yeah. What about this? Um,
if, for example, if, if you've got like a, okay, let's say go saying, okay. And then it's not

the more cringe it gets. Yeah. The more beautifully packaged up into a, a, a, a sales pitch.
Okay. Cringe it gets. Hmm. That's not happening to me. Yeah. Okay. This is a difficult one.
It's weird. But I'm kind of, yeah, kind of feeling it more and more. Okay. Yeah. No idea
why though. Okay. Yeah. But yeah, I just wanted to share that. Yeah. Yeah. What if, um, so think
about that. I've, I've, I've, I've been, I've not been to the buffets for many years, I guess,
but the moment is like when you stayed in a hotel and you got a breakfast buffet, right? Oh yeah.
So you don't like that breakfast buffet. That's not an option.
You, what do you mean? Okay. When you, so when you want to eat breakfast, that's the buffet is
the only choice you have. Yeah. So no, that's okay. Because it's not a choice. Ah, if you
choose buffets, you're like, what do you want to get for lunch? Let's go to a buffet.
Is that happening? Are there like, okay. Or dinner or dinner. It could be anything.
Yeah. Okay. Maybe I've never met somebody like that. Oh, if I meet that and I would feel that
way, maybe I'm not sure. But yeah. But today for the, for this moment, I no idea what I'm talking
