YouTubeの時差投稿解消
Welcome to Kevin's English Room Podcast.
Hello.
So, uh, you guys should be listening to this on July 1st.
Oh, let me check.
Wait, let me check.
That should be July 1st.
It is.
Yes, it's July 1st.
It's going to be on July 1st.
And, um, uh, I think what would happen from today.
OK.
I believe, I think, I feel like it's going to happen.
Yeah, because right now, on this day, today, we're on the 2nd of June.
Yeah.
Which we're not sure.
Yeah, it's not definite yet, but I feel like it's going to happen.
I think I'm going to do it.
OK.
Um, so, you know, we have our YouTube channel as well.
Yeah.
Yeah.
For the movie version, right?
Podcast.
Right now, what's happening is we're uploading that seven days delay.
There's a seven day delay with the audio version and the video version.
Right.
Yes.
Reason being, because, uh, that was sort of like the contract with Amazon.
Oh, was it?
Yeah.
They wanted to make sure that the content there, you know, we didn't, they didn't
want to skew so much into YouTube.
Yeah.
So we talked about, OK, why don't we make it a delay?
So since that's gone, YouTube is going to be uploaded at the same timing as the audio.
Hmm.
Yeah.
I see.
Yes.
So, right.
So right now this is going to be listened.
Could be, uh, YouTube.
On YouTube, 5 p, uh, 5 p.m.
OK.
Same timing as all of the audio.
I see.
Version.
Hmm. Hmm. Hmm.
Yeah.
So there, there would be one day that like uploads like seven episodes.
That's right.
One time.
I think it's today.
I think it's today.
I think today you're going to see five, uh, seven episodes.
Boom.
All at once.
Sort of cancel out the delay.
I think that's what's going to happen.
OK.
OK.
Yeah.
So that's that.
OK.
That's that.
Spotifyの動画機能
And also starting today, I think what would happen is, so on Spotify, you can
actually upload videos as well.
Really?
It's not just audio.
Spotify has implemented video features in their platform.
So I think I'll upload the video on Spotify as well.
Wow.
Is it like, I saw some like, like a 10 seconds of little clip when I, when I
play some songs on Spotify, I see that, you know, repeatedly playing like 10
seconds of like little bits.
Oh, really?
It's zoomed from that, right?
It's a longer version.
It's a usual video.
It's the same video as what you'd see on YouTube.
Oh, I didn't know that.
Right.
OK.
So that's that.
I see.
So on Spotify, you can also see the video.
You can see our faces.
You can, you can see it.
Right.
Hopefully, what this would do, Spotify has a really good transcription AI
sort of implemented in the system, right?
So it catches all our Japanese and our English, right?
I feel like the video, right, I think they could do it with a video as well.
YouTubeの時差投稿
So you can see our facial expressions and the transcriptions.
You're right.
If all goes well, then I think that's going to be a great experience.
I see.
Yeah.
OK.
OK.
Yeah.
YouTube video also has a transcription service built in as well, but I don't
think it's as good as Spotify right now.
So.
Right.
Hopefully, it'll be a better experience for video users.
OK.
Right.
I see.
I see.
I see.
So on Amazon Music, do people still?
Yes.
So as of today, as of today, the recording day, I'm talking to my manager about that.
OK.
Yes.
And he's figuring out a way to sort of deal with the RSS technology, which
is what the podcast is using, to maybe have a different archived show
or keep the same show, but have the past episode not be overwritten
and the plus episodes be gone.
Right?
We don't want that happening.
So if there's a technical way to sort of figure that out, right,
my manager's working on that right now.
Hopefully, I'll be able to tell you before July 1.
I'll sneak in a little info episode right after the usual one.
I'll do that probably.
So right.
Thank you.
Right, right, right, right, right.
Thank you for everything you're working on.
Oh, yeah.
No, no, no.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So how's that?
I see.
自由な表現の期待
So now we're kind of officially free.
We can do whatever we want.
Yes.
Yeah.
Finally, you can say whatever you want to.
That's right.
I can cuss without the Amazon Tantos just flashing in my head.
Kevin, I don't want you cursing in the show that much, Kevin.
It's an educational show, so keep it chill with the cursing, Kevin.
Oh, yeah.
Of course, I'll keep it chill.
Yeah, of course we'll do that.
That conversation replays in my head every time I curse in the show.
You'll see, you'll see.
You don't have to.
I don't have to worry about that.
OK, OK.
So be excited for that.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I feel like even though the first two weeks, I was like, oh, let's keep it
chill, not curse so much.
But after that, I don't really, I don't think it changed.
I think it went back to normal, just me cursing.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah.
Right.
You can keep it in.
You can keep it in.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
So that's that.
OK.
How are you doing, man?
Good.
Yeah.
It feels like summer now already.
Yeah.
It's hot.
Yeah.
Well, today and yesterday.
Yesterday was pretty cold, though, you know?
Yeah.
Nighttime, yeah.
I feel like getting, like summer is coming, kind of.
But it feels good, though.
I like the weather today.
Like, it feels good.
It's not humid, right?
The wind is kind of chill, but the temperature is kind of warm.
So like, it feels good to be outside, just being hit by the wind.
I like that.
I really do.
Can we hear about bicycle?
Train.
Train, OK.
Right.
Must be feels, must be feel really good if you ride on a bicycle.
It's gotta, it's gotta.
Yeah, absolutely, absolutely.
Right.
ICL手術後の視覚問題
I got my eyesight checked.
I went to the doctor's today, the eye doctor.
OK.
Yeah.
To do the shear check.
OK.
And my ganatsu, so.
Is that, like, important test?
Yeah, it's important.
So I did the ICL.
And so what I should be careful is to not have the ganatsu so high.
Yeah.
Right.
And I checked.
OK.
It was not, at this point, not as high.
Oh, good.
So good.
Good.
So good.
What do you mean at this point?
It fluctuates, right?
So your ganatsu could gradually increase.
So at this point, it might not.
But, you know, maybe next month, it might be higher, then higher, then higher.
Then, oh, I think it's heightening because of the ICL.
And maybe that's a problem.
Maybe it might conclude to that.
I see.
So you're going to have to keep caring about that.
I do have to keep caring about that.
I have to check my ganatsu forever.
Oh, OK.
Yeah.
Is it like once a month thing?
Or like once a month?
Three months.
Yeah, so it's not that bad, but, you know.
Right.
I see, I see.
Yeah.
But so far, good.
So far, yeah.
So far, OK.
Yeah.
I only have, I still have a hollow glare.
OK.
I told you about that last time, right?
Yeah.
Yeah, I went to a, like, especially when you go to a dark place and you see there's a light source, it really brings out a strong hollow glare.
I feel like I can't drive at night right now.
That's how much it's distracting.
Oh, I see.
Yeah, it's pretty, it does get in your way.
OK.
The light source really glares at you.
Like cars and like stores and everything.
Right, right.
I see.
It's strong, though.
Yeah, pretty strong, man, pretty strong.
OK.
Yeah, right.
Hope it's going to be gone.
Like, do you feel it's getting less and less or?
It's getting stronger and stronger, actually.
Stronger and stronger?
Yeah, stronger and stronger.
I did talk to a CHAT GPT about this, not my doctor, but CHAT GPT.
And CHAT GPT was like, most patients who have undergone an ICL will suffer, at some degree, of a hollow glare, three to six months.
OK.
So I did it like three weeks ago.
Three weeks ago, yeah, OK.
Yeah, I was like, I was actually, I was actually relieved to hear that.
Yeah, true.
Still got a long way to go.
And that's normal.
I see, I see.
Yeah, I was relieved about it.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Right.
Feels nice.
Oh, yeah, it does, man.
It does.
Like, I still feel like, you know, it's the little things, you know, it really is.
Like, when you put on a mask with your glasses on and you breathe, your breath just really fogs up the glasses.
And it's just, I just ate ramen today, right?
And when I peek into the ramen, the steam would fuck up your vision, right?
It's all blurry now.
That doesn't happen anymore.
Like, it's these little things, these subtle things that you kind of wouldn't notice, wouldn't know if you don't have glasses.
Yeah, yeah.
It's, right, it's great.
It's great.
True, I see, see.
Great, yeah.
So far, yeah.
Yeah, those little things are important.
It is.
It's like little things can double up and, you know, gonna be a big thing, so.
Yeah, so that's that.
I see, yeah.
Good to hear that.
Yeah, yeah.
So far so good.
I don't have any major issues with it, so it's good.
Right.
Thanks for listening, guys.
Thank you.
Bye-bye.
