ライブコンサートの体験
Welcome to Kevin's English Room Podcast.
Hello.
Hello.
I met 坂井さん。
坂井優さん。
Again.
He said say hi to Kevin.
またラジオやろうよ。いつか。
Of course.
Did you guys do another collab or something?
Or just some random hangout.
He had a concert.
Live concert.
I see.
We made a song together.
So I was kind of invited on the stage.
And we just performed together.
Oh shit.
That is so casual.
You said it so casually.
Oh yeah, true.
As if it was like a cafe.
You went on his stage.
Damn.
That was a huge thing.
I had three live concerts on last week.
Last week?
One was...
God.
What the hell is happening here?
The one was
坂井さんのコンサート。
I just sang one song.
I just performed one song that we made together.
That y'all did together.
By the way, he was...
I mean...
The way he sings...
His performance...
That was...
I mean...
Even after watching Bruno Mars
at the live place.
Like Tokyo Dome.
I feel like
坂井さんのパフォーマンス
was like...
It's like...
At the same level.
Even higher than...
Because you were looking at him
from backstage or wherever, right?
I went to 客席.
You went to...
I watched the whole show.
I was...
blown out.
Damn.
Like his vocal techniques?
He plays the piano and sings at the same time.
Yeah.
Well, yeah.
He plays like...
Great piano and
at the same time he sings
lines, difficult lines.
I mean...
Astonishing for you to look at.
I was so like...
Well, I mean, I know him.
I've listened to his
songs many times, but...
Like...
He was...
I mean, great.
Great musician.
He is.
Especially because you know his character, right?
Kind of, I guess, it hit you differently?
Maybe, yeah.
Than before.
But honestly, simply like
the vocals.
That was crazy.
That's amazing.
The tone and pitches and
preciseness and smoothness and like...
Everything was so
ライブパフォーマンスとコラボレーション
so good, I mean.
Wow.
That's amazing.
That was great.
So that's one.
And the second one was like...
So I have a
friend of mine
who's been doing those
artist activities since
I guess 18 or something.
We've known each other from high school.
Okay.
She kind of rapped and...
You know...
That's her name.
She had a live concert
and we made a song together.
Just like Sakai-san's stage.
Went on a stage and performed one song together.
Okay.
I guess that was Wednesday, last Wednesday.
And then...
Thursday or...
Friday, I guess, that was Sakai-san's.
And then I went to Kyoto.
That was like...
You know Gota-san?
Yeah.
He was born in Kyoto.
Okay.
So every year,
he does live events in Kyoto.
And I was invited
and we had like...
kind of Taiban.
I perform like
30-40 minutes and Gota-san
performs like 30-40 minutes.
And after that, we did
two songs together.
Oh, I see. That's fun.
Yeah, we did that.
That's cool.
Did you make a song together
or was that sort of like a cover song?
Did you do his song?
Oh, what do you mean?
You did it together.
Oh, together. So one was cover song.
Silk Sonic, Leave the Door Open.
Oh, okay.
And one was we made a song together.
Oh, I see.
So we performed two songs together.
You're building up a whole community of artists.
Yeah.
How many people have you made songs together with?
Oh, just three.
Gota-san, Asabo-san and Sakai-san.
So it was all packed.
The people who you collaborated with.
No, I mean, I didn't plan that.
It just happened naturally.
I see. It was a coincidence.
Yeah, coincidentally in one week.
Like Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
Oh, your musician buddies just came together.
Yeah.
Oh, okay. I mean, sure.
That's why I went to Kyoto.
I see. That's why you were in Kyoto.
Yeah.
So I forgot what you were talking about.
Yeah, so I just wanted to say
Sakai-san said hi to you.
Oh, okay. I see.
Thank you.
高知の魅力
He lives in Kochi.
Kochi?
Yeah.
That's where he lives right now?
Yeah.
Oh, shit. Okay.
If you have a chance to come to Kochi,
why don't we do some podcast together?
Oh, shit. That would be cool.
In Kochi though, right?
Yeah.
Yes.
You know where Kochi is?
Well, I know where Shikoku is.
So it's one of the four.
It has like beautiful ocean.
Beautiful river.
He lives in the ocean side.
I see.
And he said he doesn't have a house nearby.
He has his own house.
And then you have to walk,
he said like
500 meters or something
to get to the house next to it.
Wow.
It's pretty much in the mountain.
And he has like inoshishi
coming down sometimes.
Wow.
Completely different lifestyle.
He doesn't have like phone
connection in his house.
Damn.
I don't know if that's like
maybe that structure of the house.
Maybe he made a bowl
to be able to do music.
To be able to do music.
So maybe that's why.
He went outside of the house
to call people.
I mean, does he need a bowl?
Because he doesn't have
anything nearby, right?
He can do whatever he wants.
True.
So yeah.
That would be fun to visit that place.
Yeah.
He said like katsuo.
Yeah.
It's different.
That's what he said. I've never tried, but he said
it's totally different than
something we can eat
in Tokyo.
I love katsuo no tataki.
Oh, we have to go there.
That was my favorite
fish
since middle school.
Yeah, my parents would
have katsuo no tataki ready
for me at dinner table.
That's kind of my favorite.
Yes.
I love it.
I'm wanting to eat
a good quality
katsuo no tataki.
I would love to do that. That would be a great trip.
Then you have to visit.
That would be a great trip.
He said it's different.
It's not better
than Tokyo's.
It's a different kind. It's not comparable.
Maybe you won't
be liking it.
That's a possibility.
It's just too different.
We'll have to see.
That's my week.
Say hi back to me for him.
Yeah.
Thanks for listening, guys.
Bye-bye.
