How are you doing today?
In this beautiful Monday morning.
- Yeah, it is.
- Today has got to be one of the most beautiful mornings ever.
- I think so.
- The past recordings we've done.
- Yes, yes.
- One of the best.
- It's like, I would say it's the best,
one of the best days in the year.
- Oh yeah.
- Very sunny, clear skies.
- Yes.
- Perfect temperature.
- Yes.
- For picnicking.
Love it, gotta love it.
- Yes.
Just a bit of coffin though.
- Oh shit, for you it's coffin.
- Yeah.
- How bad is it?
- It's like a pre, like a 60, 60%.
- 60%?
- Yeah, but it's not like the baddest one.
- Okay, so the worst is 100.
- Yeah.
- So it's like a 60.
- Kind of bad.
- Yeah, it's a bit, but still like I can fully,
you know, appreciate this beautiful sunny.
- You take in medicines, right?
- Yeah.
- For your kahun.
- Yeah, but I thought I just like beat the kahun show
recently after I, you know.
- Oh yeah.
- After I returned to Japan.
I feel like I've been feeling like, oh, it's gone.
- Yeah.
- So I just actually stopped taking those medicines.
Today I, yeah, I did.
- Getting back?
- Yeah.
- You're like, oh God, it's back again.
- Yeah.
- It was just temporary.
- Yeah.
Or just like less coffin.
- Oh, all right.
- I think.
- Right.
- But yes, I'm feeling good.
- Yeah, the temperature's awesome.
- Perfect.
- When is the kahun gonna go away?
- May, mid-May, mid-May.
- So like a month from now.
- Yeah.
- I see, I see, I see.
How's the jet lag?
It's been about two week.
- Yeah.
- Two week.
- Like to me, it's no problem.
Like since last week, I've been doing like good.
Casual Conversation about Daily Life
- You said that you're back from the jet lag
and you've actually are able to wake up early.
- Yeah.
- How's that?
Is that still working?
- Yeah.
- Still there?
- Yeah.
- Wow.
- So it's like doing good, no?
- That's great, that's great.
- I've just gained like new good healthy rhythm kind of.
- That's great.
- Yeah, what about yours?
- I am completely back to normal.
- Okay.
- Yeah, I wake up at like eight and I'm sleepy.
- Oh yeah, you're sleepy.
- Yeah, I'm not super fresh.
- Yeah, okay, okay.
- When I used to like a week ago.
- Yeah.
- What time do you like go to bed?
- One.
- One, as usual?
- Yeah, as usual, one or two, 12, something like that.
- Okay.
- Yeah.
- Well, at least you don't feel any like strange feeling.
- That's good.
- Yeah.
- Yeah, better than feeling that jet lag,
that weird shit feeling.
- Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- Yeah.
- Are you enjoying this spring seasons like weather?
- I mean, I went to Ohanami, that's a great event.
- Yeah.
- Yeah, I'm planning to go out,
sample around the area.
- Nice girl.
- I did do like a huge sample once.
- What do you mean huge sample?
- Yeah, it was like a.
- It's like a big strip.
- I went to like, how far is it?
Like four stations worth of sample.
- Wow.
- Yeah, it was pretty big.
- Oh, that's a.
- Back and forth, so.
- Oh yeah, how long did it take to?
- I started sampling from 10, 10 a.m.
- Okay, okay.
- And then I got back at like three.
(laughing)
- Wow, it's like a whole day.
- It's like a whole day.
- So you go out, just walk.
- Walk.
- Through the many towns and cities.
- Yeah, what I did was I didn't look at my map.
Solo Adventure and Discoveries
I just.
- Nice.
- Went with the intuition.
- Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- Maybe I should go this way.
- That's great.
- Or that way, right?
Just discovering some new places that I've never been to.
- Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- Didn't you just pass through everything and get lunch?
- Right, eat lunch.
- Okay.
- Yeah, eat lunch.
- Was that something like special place,
somewhere special, famous place?
- So I walked past this sandwich place.
- Oh.
- Yeah.
- Sandwich place?
- Yeah, it was like a sandwich place.
And I got myself a BLT.
- Okay, cool.
- BLT sandwich, which was great.
- Oh, nice.
- It was under the sunny.
- Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- Sunny, bright.
- Oh, you eat outside then?
- It was like a terrace kind of thing.
- Oh, lovely.
- Very lovely.
- Wow.
- Very lovely.
- It's nice.
- Yeah, so yeah.
- Wow.
- Pretty good.
- Wow.
- Enjoying your weather.
- Yeah, must be very nice day.
- Yeah.
- Wow.
Sampo Maps and Tourist Attractions
Love that.
- Speaking of Sampos, I recently,
I went to a bookstore, right?
And you know how there's a lot of like Sampo books?
- Ah, like a maps?
- Yeah, like a Sampo map.
(laughing)
- Sampo map.
- You know what I'm talking about, right?
- Yeah, I've never like carefully checked those actually,
but I kind of know.
- Okay.
- Like it's a little map and like a sightseeing maps.
- Oh yeah, like there's several versions.
Like there could be a version of like,
like Sampo Cafe kind of magazine.
- Okay.
- You know what I'm talking about?
- So it's like a specific map of like small town?
- Oh yeah, like yeah.
- Okay, okay.
- Small town.
- Like a Kamakura O Sampo.
- Exactly, exactly.
- Like Kamakura O Sampo Cafe map.
- Okay, okay.
(laughing)
- Thank you.
- Okay.
You love those?
- I love that by the way.
- Oh, cute.
兜町の紹介
- I came across a Tokushu of Kabutocho.
- Kabutocho.
- You've been to Kabutocho?
- Yeah, once I guess.
It's like a Kabuto,
it's like a just nothing there, no?
- Really?
There's nothing?
- But in the magazine it was like,
(speaking in foreign language)
- Really?
- Yeah, and I was like,
I've never been to Kabutocho.
- Yeah.
- Like it's one of the places that I go often.
- Kabutocho.
- It's really close to,
it's close to Tokyo Station,
it's close to Ginza,
it's close to Kayabacho.
I think Kayabacho is the closest.
- Okay, okay.
- And like, it's around that area.
And I go there often, you know,
like I sample there often.
And like, I was like,
you know, I'm used to all those places around Kabutocho.
- Yeah, like Ginza.
- Yeah, those places.
Like I've never actually even recognized
the name of the city Kabutocho.
I was like, where the fuck is this?
It was really close to Kayabacho.
Like, oh, I was like, wow.
So, never heard of it?
過去の兜町の印象
- Kabutocho?
- Yeah, they-
- I went, I remember I went once,
but it was like very like long, long years ago.
- Oh yeah.
- And I found like there were nothing.
Like it's just, like, yeah.
- Well, right.
- Is that-
- The magazine said that there are several like shopping,
- Wow.
- Shopping, I don't know, like shopping complexes.
- In Kabutocho.
- Kabutocho.
- Maybe I'm wrong then.
- Maybe, maybe you didn't look in the right place.
Exploring Kabutocho
- Yeah.
- You were in like a different street.
- Yeah.
- Yeah, the magazine had like a bakery, flower shop,
clothings.
Zakka.
- Oh, yeah.
- You know those cliche-
- Yeah, yeah.
- Right?
- Uh-huh.
- Oh, thinking about going there.
- Wow.
- Yeah.
- Well, it must be like a great place to sample around.
- Hopefully.
- Yeah.
- Yeah.
- Hmm.
- I should have known that.
- Kabutocho.
- Kabutocho, yeah.
- And yeah, I didn't know that you,
you like, you love those books
and you don't try to find a new place.
- It gives you new ideas.
- Or sample maps.
(laughing)
- I do.
- Yeah, that's cute.
- It gives me new ideas.
- Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- Like there's, I, I actually,
so if I had the option not to, I would,
I wouldn't look at it.
I would try to go with my Insta.
- Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- Or like use Google Maps and do so.
But I've reached the limit of like-
- Yeah, of course.
- I can't find anything else new.
So yeah.
- Yeah, yeah.
- I rely on those books.
- True, like they always gives you like new information,
like new ideas.
- Right.
- New, yeah, that's true.
- Right, so, you should take a look.
- Yeah.
(laughing)
- It's pretty neat.
- Okay.
(laughing)
- Like when I go to bookstore,
like I pass through like a novel section
and I look around, oh, that must be interesting.
And then I go pass through those maps and yeah.
(laughing)
- You don't do anything, you just,
you just give it like a three second look and you're gone.
- Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Wow, I should, I should take time there.
- Yeah, you should.
- Yeah.
Discussing the Custom of Greeting Store Clerks
- What's your bookstore routine?
- No, just enter.
- Mm-hmm.
- And then say hi to the store clerk.
- You say hi to the store clerk?
- I mean, just, just--
- That's a weird custom.
- No, I don't say--
- One hell of a weird ass customer.
- I don't say like, "Ah, konnichiwa, domo."
It's not like this, but just like, "Ah, domo."
'Cause they say, "Irasshaimase," right?
It's, "Ah, konnichiwa."
And then--
- Okay, you always reply back to those "Irasshaimase," right?
- Yeah, 'cause they speak to you and then that's weird.
- That's something that I wanted to actually articulate
with you about, like that's a weird thing to do, I thought.
- Why is that weird?
It's like, 'cause they speak to you.
- Yeah.
- Like, "Irasshaimase, konnichiwa," and then I,
I can't, I just can't, like, ignore them.
Like, at least you bow a bit, no?
- All right, let me debate this
with the next episode, all right?
- Okay.
(laughs)
Of course.
- 'Cause it's true, he does reply to those store clerks
that says "Irasshaimase."
- Yeah.
- Like, really reply.
- Yeah, you don't, you don't reply?
At least you--
- Okay, let me talk about that.
- Yeah, of course, of course.
All right, thanks for listening, guys.
