Welcome to Kevin's English Room Podcast!
Yo!
Hey guys!
This program is brought to you by
"Kimi no Koi wo Todokeyou" anchor!
We are using an app called anchor to create and distribute this podcast.
It's got all the features you need
to create your own podcast!
It's free, you can download it off of Google Play or on the App Store.
So we're very excited to hear your very first
podcast program!
It's episode 1!
There we go!
This is actually the first episode where
we've recorded the plus episode
and the normal episode
consecutively.
So I feel like...
In a row.
So I feel like
from the listeners' perspective
it's more natural
and I hope you guys enjoy that a lot more.
Yeah.
We did a kind of study
educational.
Right!
Helping lives problem.
Right, right. We're helping lives.
That's what we're doing.
But for you guys, for real,
for you guys that don't know what we're talking about.
Yeah, of course.
We're doing this thing with Amazon Music.
We...
I'm sure you guys are listening to this
on Apple Music...
No, Apple Podcasts
or Google Podcasts.
Or just...
Podcasts.
Yeah, whatever the platform is.
We're doing an exclusive content
only on Amazon Music.
Yeah.
Amazon Music has a podcast section too.
Not only music, right?
On that section, on Amazon Music
there's a podcast section and our programs on it.
And that's titled
Kevin's English Room Podcast Plus
where we do...
We do like a 5 minute...
6, 7, sometimes.
Try to make it 5.
Try to make it 5, right.
But like a mini-section, right?
So that's an exclusive
bonus content.
So if you guys want to check that out, please go to Amazon Music
for it.
And...
Yeah, and it's actually...
It's actually fun
being able to work with Amazon.
Yeah, actually we went to...
We visited the Amazon office.
We did.
We actually haven't
been able to use
the studio yet.
But we visited there and
it was really like...
really cool studio.
It was so professional.
Like...
First of all, the entrance.
There was like this
big ass guard.
Like, huge ass guard
03:00
that was protecting the Amazon studio
building, right?
Which really freaked me out
when I first got there.
[laughter]
They must be so strong.
They must be really really strong.
I've never seen such a muscular guy
that was inside an office.
Like, besides gyms.
I've only seen those guys in the gym.
When I go to the gym, there's always these pumped up guys.
I thought they were like imaginary people
that only exist in the gym.
But that's when I actually saw them in real life.
[laughter]
They existed in the gym.
I didn't know that.
I thought they were imaginary people.
What they do, maybe, those people are working
as an guard.
Yeah, makes sense.
The building itself was really cool.
It was brand new.
There were so many...
I love music, so there was
music equipment.
And also, like,
the analog,
vinyl, you know.
Yeah.
Like, discs?
Yeah, and stuff like that.
The studio was amazing.
The vocal booths.
A huge studio.
And there were so gorgeous
Eames chairs, you know.
I know.
And paintings.
I want to live there.
That would be a nice place to live.
Yeah, sure.
I'll give you permission right here.
I'm sure everyone's listening to this.
They'll know that I just gave you permission.
[laughter]
I mean,
you know,
I think from the next recording,
we're going to be able to record
on that studio.
So, and hopefully by then,
I'll have the cameras ready.
And at the same time,
we'll be able to put it on YouTube.
Video phone.
Finally, like, put out video
formats of this program.
So you can see how we are,
you know, facial expressing
when we are speaking.
Exactly.
How strange we are.
[laughter]
[laughter]
You'll finally see
how funny our faces are.
Yeah, right, right.
How idiotic our faces are
when we're doing this podcast.
[laughter]
Yeah.
True.
I remember going to the studio
with the Amazon people
and like,
"Oh, so you guys can record here
and here's the microphone."
And so, yeah, you can connect this microphone
to your PC and like,
you can do all that and you can record high quality.
And we're like, "Well,
we're kind of
planning on using our own
Senhaku-N microphones
that we've always been using
because it's easier to use, like, tangible."
And they were like, "Oh.
Oh. Okay.
06:00
Sure. Yeah.
Alright. Yeah."
[laughter]
That was a little awkward there.
Yeah. But that was, you know,
too professional for us.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I don't think anybody would like that.
You see those microphones?
Actually, they are really expensive.
Are they?
It's called Neumann microphones.
Are they really badass?
Yeah.
Oh, God.
Let's record one episode, right?
Let's see what kind of quality we get from it.
And see how everybody reacts, right?
[laughter]
We're not saying anything.
And you guys can tell us,
if you're listening,
just tell us which episode you think was the good quality one.
You guys can tell.
Maybe it makes a difference.
But if you can't, we're going to stick to the Senhaku-N microphones.
It's enough for us.
Alright.
But yeah, that was a little
little thing
with Amazon.
Very excited for it.
Of course.
Did you see the workers there?
Yeah.
I saw the guy
did the online meeting.
At the middle
hallway.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
He was really chill.
He was so chill.
I couldn't tell if he was working or if he was just playing around.
I was really like,
"Wow, this is Amazon."
I guess that's what they do.
The number one tech company.
Yeah.
True.
You know, the people
we are actually working with,
the team,
they are really good guys,
good people,
uplifting.
They really have a positive vibe.
They are.
And chilling at the same time.
They are, they are.
Yeah, enjoying things.
They also have this yoyu.
Yeah, true, true.
They kind of seem
never like,
pushed.
Yeah, stressed.
Look at that.
You kind of start to feel like,
"Okay, maybe that's also a good life to have."
You know, working there.
I think so too.
Really nice.
Catherine.
Yeah, Catherine.
She's always smiling.
I love that.
I know, right?
I don't know if you can name people here,
but that's one of the people
who were on
our Zoom calls.
And I feel like,
I guess she was in a very high position.
Yeah, and we met her.
We actually met her, right.
And face to face was also good.
In Zooms.
She was always smiling.
Yeah, happy vibe.
09:00
Very happy vibe.
And I still think that she's joining Zoom calls,
standing up.
Why?
I don't know.
Her posture.
Yeah.
Makes me feel like she's standing up.
I feel like she's joining Zoom calls standing up.
That's why I feel like she's doing it.
I don't know. Are you, Catherine?
I just want to ask you that.
Really? I've never felt that.
Have you never felt that?
No.
I've always felt like she's standing up.
But it's okay.
It's okay. It's good to stand up.
Yeah.
But she's wearing
the professional headset.
She does have a professional headset.
Yeah, I know.
Wow.
It's a vibe that I've never felt.
Oh yeah, actually.
From the past companies that I've joined.
Yeah, you were in like kind of
"gaishikei" company. Is that different?
Yeah, completely different.
We didn't have an uplifting vibe.
That's a problem.
I came in, I said hi to people and they ignored me.
That's the vibe I get.
That's sad.
That's why I ended up
reserving a conference room and sleeping in there.
That's not supposed to be.
That's a problem of my own.
Yeah.
Alright.
So there you go.
Just a quick episode.
Just sharing you about Amazon.
Check that out. Check out Amazon Music
if you guys are interested.
Alright. Thanks for listening guys.
Bye bye.
