Welcome to Kevin's English Room Podcast!
So much energy today.
Thank you. I do have a lot of energy.
Yeah, it's nice.
This program is brought to you by Kimi no Koi wo Todokeyou! Anchor!
We are using an app called Anchor to create and distribute this podcast.
It's got all the features you need when you're starting out your very own podcast.
It's free and you can download it off of Google Play or the App Store.
Alrighty!
Okay.
And we have our voice messages again. Thank you so much guys for sending us your voice messages.
Right.
Here we go.
I've sent you a voice message.
Is the title.
Yes.
Oh wait.
You want to get the ambulance on the microphone?
Yeah, this is the Japanese ambulance.
This is the Japanese ambulance.
Is it different from the other one?
Yeah, it's a little bit different.
Oh.
In the US it's more like, "Woooooo!"
Kind of like that.
It's more like, "Woooooo!"
Why do you do this?
You use your jaw.
You move your jaw up and down.
"Woooooo!"
That's how you do it.
Okay.
There you go.
Hey Kevin and Yama-chan. This is my first voice message.
Thank you.
I hope you pick this up. I will be delighted.
Today I have a question.
By the way, this is me.
Me.
And the question goes like this.
Is there any possibilities that I can join your conversation?
Let me explain why I say so.
Every time I listen to your podcast,
I answer the same questions that you two are answering on podcast.
As if I was in a place and one of the members that makes the program.
I always put a smile on my face as you guys do on the program.
I try to find a different perspective to answer the listeners' questions
so that the program would be more interesting.
To be in a program is one of my dreams.
So if the answer to my question is no, please don't say no.
Please say maybe instead.
Well, thank you.
Thank you.
Well, you know what?
Actually, we once did a collaboration with the audience.
Live?
Yeah.
I think it was Instagram Live?
No?
No.
Clubhouse?
Yeah.
We did it on Clubhouse.
Right.
We once did a live recording on Clubhouse.
Yeah.
And we got some of the listeners to come in and ask us a question.
Had a conversation together.
Right.
Had a conversation together.
And why did that go away?
I don't know.
03:02
Maybe because people don't use Clubhouse anymore.
That's one.
It's not as popular.
Not as...
Yeah.
And people were shy?
Oh, yeah.
Maybe?
Maybe.
I don't think we got as much of a volunteers to speak up as I expected from the amount
of listeners that were there.
True.
Versus like the amount of people that raised their hands to speak up.
So I guess that was why I thought this might not be sustainable.
Yeah.
Right.
True.
Right.
You know, we really are thinking about having a guest or having one of the listeners come
in as a guest as a way of evolutionizing the podcast.
Right?
Yeah.
So, I mean, that is what we're thinking.
But we just aren't doing it.
Procrastination.
Yeah.
But you know, we record so many episodes in one day.
Yeah.
Then maybe that's the reason for them to difficult.
Yeah.
For them to, you know, joining like in this time right now is kind of difficult maybe.
Right.
Logistics wise, it's that there's a barrier right there, right?
Because we record every once every 10 days or something.
And we get right now we're at my place, my room, personal room.
And if not, it's your personal room.
And how are we going to physically invite someone over?
Well, I can invite anybody to your house, actually.
Because it's not your house.
Obviously.
I'm comfortable with it.
I'm comfortable sending whoever the fuck I want to your place.
Yeah.
But maybe it's a thing if we could start renting studios.
Yeah.
Right?
True.
We are looking to maybe record from the studio, right?
Yeah.
So, if that starts, it's so much easier to bring guests in.
Sure.
Right.
That would be fun.
That would be fun.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Like, you know, online speaking is also fun, of course.
But, you know, having a place together is way more, you know, interesting.
Right.
And things will be, you know, happen.
Right.
Right.
Hmm.
Yeah.
So, not now.
But if changes were to happen, it would definitely when we start using the studio.
06:06
Because from that, maybe we'll start producing video formats too.
Yeah.
Right?
And as well as maybe we have the logistics abilities to invite people over.
Whether if it's online or offline.
And...
Sure.
If that were to happen, I mean, since you, Mi-san, went for the ask.
Yeah.
It's...
There's a chance you might be invited over.
Of course.
As one of the guests.
The first guest.
Mm-hmm.
No?
Sure.
Yeah.
Do you want to make that promise?
I mean...
Of all my favorite.
Maybe.
You know.
Okay.
But, um...
Anyone who really went for the ask has the chance, right?
Yeah.
Of course.
They swung the bat.
And I love that.
I love that.
I love people that go for the ask.
Gives it, like, themselves a chance to hit the ball.
And I respect that.
Yeah.
So...
Yeah.
True.
Right.
Are you open for meeting new people and have time together?
Yeah.
Okay with that?
Yeah, I'm okay with that.
Okay, okay.
Yeah.
Cool.
Nice, nice.
It's going to be in Tokyo if we were to invite people over.
Yeah, like physically.
Yeah, if it's physical, it's going to be in Tokyo.
Right.
Or maybe we can go to your place if you want to.
Like, uh...
Anywhere is okay?
No.
In Tokyo?
No.
Like Okinawa.
Okinawa.
Hawaii.
Hawaii.
Um...
Parao.
Parao?
Yeah, I just want to go to the...
South Island.
Those places.
Yeah, because it's cold in Tokyo.
True.
So I want to go to the hot places.
True.
And the guests have to cover for the transfer fees, right?
Yeah.
I hope so.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Got it.
Yeah.
The flight fees.
The flight fees.
Hotel fees.
Hotel fees.
The dinner fees.
The food.
Then I would love to go.
Yeah.
Got it.
Alright.
But...
Yeah, but honestly, yes.
We will soon probably be recording from the studio.
Yeah.
Like some real shit studio.
We're not gonna...
It has to do with a partnership kind of thing deal.
And the client will be like, "Hey, I'm going to be in Tokyo."
The client letting us use the studio they have.
And if that works out, it's a big chance for us to make changes.
True.
09:00
I mean, not saying we have to, but if we were to make changes, that would be a really great timing.
Yeah.
So one option would be to invite guests over.
Yeah.
And as you from Misan that went for the ask, you're highly likely, you may be...
Of course.
Of course.
...the in it on the list.
Thank you for the ask.
And also, just to get the information out there, we might be having a video format as well.
Yeah.
So that's another thing.
Yeah.
But I can't make any promises, right?
Because we're always out here just like, "Oh, you want to do this?"
"Yeah, sure.
I don't know.
Let's try it."
Yeah.
Yeah.
Randomly do and try new things.
Right.
We...
Right.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Right.
But you know, Misan, you already on our show when we...
I was kind of like, "I had a conversation with you, I feel like."
So it was fun.
And thank you for sending us the voice message that's already...
Right.
...fun to me.
Right.
If it's in voice format, it's so much more interactive.
Yeah.
Right.
All right.
Thanks, Simon.
Yeah.
Thanks for listening, guys.
Thank you.
Bye-bye.
Bye.
