Because some people might be having a great time and suddenly the podcast starts talking about that shit.
And you know.
[laughter]
But you know.
Just an apology for that.
Yeah, I know people don't like them but they're just living creatures.
Yeah, you're right.
You're right.
You know.
You're right.
Yeah, it's okay.
Okay.
Just before we get into the topic here, I have a big news here.
Wow.
Well, let's talk about that before that.
Oh, it's really quick though.
Okay.
It's really quick, it's going to be done quickly.
You know how we're like top like five or four or six on the podcast, from Japanese podcasts?
Yeah, this is cool.
The national wave podcast?
On the Apple podcast.
But for Spotify podcast, you know Spotify, right?
Spotify has its own podcast.
We're number four.
[laughter]
Holy shit, right?
Yeah.
Like, it was in Spotify official Instagram account.
They posted like stories of like the top five like podcasts in Spotify.
And then we were number five.
It was like, oh my god.
Wow.
Like, wow.
And I shared that on our Instagram.
And the next day another story came out and it was like number four.
I was like, oh my god.
Do you believe this man?
No, I don't.
[laughter]
No, I don't.
It was like in a whole Japan podcast.
Yeah, not the whole worldwide, but like the nationwide.
Japan, inside Japan.
Number four.
Should we like stop doing this podcast?
[laughter]
Number four.
Yeah, dude.
Wow.
So, just a thank you.
Well, yeah, of course.
For listening to this podcast.
That's completely thanks to everybody listening to this.
It's completely not our...
[laughter]
Just out here talking about like shit that happened yesterday, you know?
Yeah.
I'm pissed about what happened yesterday.
I was talking about that.
[laughter]
It's not worth it.
You're listening to my Gucci.
[laughter]
Hell yeah.
Right, so I just wanted to just a little quick information.
Yeah, I need to thank you.
Yes, yes.
Very much.
Well, I hope this episode helps anybody.
03:00
Yeah.

You know, quick motivation to English maybe or quick, you know, quick something, learn
something maybe or like, you know, listening to it.
Maybe get your listening skill up or something.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah.
Wow.
Thank you.
Yes.
All right.
Let's get into the topic then.
Yeah.
Number four podcast.
Podcasts.
Yes.
[laughter]
You haven't really like...
Yeah.
That hasn't sunken.
Yeah.
How's it?
Sunken?
Yeah.
Sink.
Sinking.
Past tense of sinking.
I don't know if this is grammatically correct.
No, no, no.
I thought it was Japanese sunken.
Oh, no, no, no.
Sunk in.
Yeah.
Sink.
Sink.
Sunk.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Okay.
So we've got a letter today.
A letter?
The physical.
Mm-hmm.
And this is for real.
Yes.
We literally got a letter.
Yeah.
Yeah.
As always.
As always.
For the first time.
Yeah.
You know.
True.
This is the truly like the physical...
Yes.
And we're not lying this time.
Yeah.
Very true paper postcard letter.
Right.
I'm looking at it right now.
Yes.
It's right there.
With little...
For real.
Polar bear, little summer kakigori picture on it.
Yeah.
Looks good.
Yeah.
Looks great.
So this is from Ayumi-san.
Ayumi-san.

She kindly sent us a letter to the...

You know, "Kore kara mo oen shiteimasu" no ato ni little flags?
Oh yeah, yeah.
I see.
I see.
Japan and the United States.
Oh, okay.
That's cute.
That's cute.
Yeah.
So, nigatudatta eigo wo omoshiroi to kanjirareru you ni narimashita benkyou no kikage arigatou gozaimasu.
Fukashi nigatudatta keredo itten shite suki ni natta mono kokufuku shita mono wa arimasu ka?
I think there's a lot.
Like black coffee is one of them.
I used to not be able to drink black coffee, but I've understood the taste and, you know,
06:02
the goodness of it.
And I sometimes, you know, take in black coffee.
That's one.
Like wasabi is another one.
Oh really?
Yeah, it was really strong.
Oh, but now I can eat it.
You didn't like it?
I didn't like it.
When you were like middle schooler?
Oh really?
Yeah.
Oh.
Hmm.
Hmm.
Do you have any?
You know, I think there's a some...
Right.
Some things that I can share.
You know.
Right.
Because we're like number four of the National One Podcast, right?
Yeah.
Of course you have something to talk about.
So many people are listening to this.
I know, right?
Thousands.
Yeah.
So like...
So of course.
I have so many funny stories about...
Like what kind of podcast has like a dead air, you know?
Like what kind of podcast introduces like a topic?
And then like one of the speakers are like, yeah.
I don't...
Yeah.
Like, right?
Let me guess.
Okay, thanks.
Okay?
Like Pakchi.
Well, I've been liking Pakchi.
No?
Okay.
From the beginning.
Wasabi.
Yeah.
Natto.
Yeah.
Like Goya.
Like sort of Yasai.
Any kind of Yasai?
Any kind of Yasai?
No.
Like ethnic foods?
You know, like Thai foods, Indian foods, you know.
Like spices and alcohol.
I'm still not.
Oh, right.
Yeah.
Okay.
Beer?
No.
Like sort of like fruit juice?
Like, you know, like energy juice, like Aoziru.
How about Aoziru?
I like it.
You like it.
Yeah.
Right.
But like, I don't know, like sodas, you know, like carbonated drinks.
You know, some people can't drink carbonated drinks.
I can drink it.
Okay.
You got over it.
Like umeboshi, that's strong.
Yeah.
Yeah.
You're good?
I like it.
Yep.
Okay.
Um, so I guess like milk, like dairy drinks?
Milk?
Yeah.
Milk.
I like milk.
From the beginning of your life, you've had milk?
Yeah.
Okay.
Everyone does, right?
Uh, I guess, so like, no?
Nothing?
But you know, she sent us a letter.
Yeah, of course.
We need to answer something.
09:01
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Um, I have a fun fact.
Okay.
I have a fun fact, right?
I heard that, you know, when you grow older, you can, you start to enjoy like different
types of foods, right?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Like what she's asking, right?
The reason is, because that your taste buds are dying.
That's why.
So you can't feel the original taste.
So like when you're young, like all of your taste buds were alive.
They were there, right?
So like when you tasted something, you have the ability to taste what you didn't like.
So you hated it.
But as you grow older, those taste buds die.
And when you take in the same food, the buds that tasted that things that you didn't like,
they died.
So you don't taste the nasty part.
You don't taste the disgusting part.
And you just start feeling like, oh, this is good.
Really?
I, that's what I heard.
Wow.
I didn't search it up, but yeah.
I thought that was interesting.
Yeah.
So like that's why as we grow older and older, we get to eat more things.
We can enjoy more food.
Yeah.
We can eat so many little powerful foods.
Yeah.
As we get older and get used to those.
It's just that we're, in reality, we're just not tasting it.
That's all.
Wow.
Pretty interesting, right?
Wow.
No, I thought it's just growing.
My Mikaku grows so that I can understand the depth, but it's not.
It's actually no.
It's like you're not tasting it.
Wow.
Yeah.
Wow.
Yeah.
I can think about anything.
Yeah.
So a lot of things, right?
Yeah.
Yeah.
So many things.
Right.
But it's tough.
I think we made it through.
We did a good job.
Yeah.
Did a good job.
We did.
Yeah.
This is the number four ranked episode.
Yes.
Yes.
Yes, Yamachan.
Yes.
Check it out.
Thanks for listening, guys.
Bye bye.
guys, bye bye!
