クリエイティブマインドセットの探求
This is Reinamoto's podcast, The Creative Mindset.
Hi everyone, welcome to The Creative Mindset, a podcast about what the future holds at the
intersection of creativity and technology. I'm Reinamoto, the founding partner of I&CO,
a global innovation firm based in New York, Tokyo, and Singapore.
On this podcast, we explore the creative mindset of the world's top creative practitioners from
various industries and explore ways for staying relevant in the 21st century.
In addition to the in-depth conversation with each guest on the show, we have a lightning
questions segment where we ask each guest to react intuitively to a handful of simple
questions on the spot. It often reveals unexpected truth about them as real human
beings just like us. You'll really enjoy it. So let's get started.
Lightning Questions
During the interview, we dig deep into different topics surrounding creativity.
On the contrary, with this section, we ask the same questions to the guests to react on the
spot and we don't let them see the questions in advance.
Question number one, if you weren't doing this, what else would you be doing?
I probably would be someone's PA. Well, I back in the days always wanted to like,
I enjoyed seeing personal assistants. I think that I have a good way of
finding out solutions for problems. So I think I would do something like,
that's the first thing that pops into my mind right now. But to be super honest,
I think that I'm really where I'm at right now, which I also didn't expect back in the days.
Question number two, if you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?
旅行先の希望
I would say probably Spain. Because whenever I traveled to Spain, as soon as I land,
I think it's because they have a really slow way of living. There's no other way
than for me to also do that. And I feel like where I live or where I traveled to when I'm in London
or somewhere in the States, it's always fast paced. And they have a really slow life. Wherever
I'm at in Spain, it really relaxes me. I would love to like do that a little bit more. So I
would say Spain. Question number three, where is the next place you'd like to visit?
South Africa is really on my list. Because I have quite a big audience also from there.
So I would love to visit South Africa. I'm looking towards probably traveling there in
February next year, hopefully. Well, maybe this podcast can spread the word.
So you might get invited. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. But obviously, honestly, Japan is also still on my
list. But it's so big. I just don't even know where to start. So if there's any tips for anyone
who's listening to this podcast, DM me with suggestions, like a route, like where to go,
because I just don't know where to start. Yeah. Good request. Question number four,
お気に入りの食べ物と時間
your favorite food? Favorite food. You can always wake me up for a good ramen. Yeah.
Question number five, what's your favorite time of your day? Morning and especially like early
in the morning. I work out around like seven o'clock. Half of the world is still asleep. I
love that. It just gives me time to get everything straight to look forward to the rest of the day.
Yeah. Morning for sure. What's your favorite song or type of music? I really am an old school R&B
person. I love R&B. But I also listen to soul, funky music, hip hop. But I would say R&B is always
the way to go. What was the biggest turning point in your life? I think was the shift, like quitting
my job and starting this because I finally like really decided to do something for me and not
thinking about what other people would imagine me doing. So I think that was the biggest shift.
And that also really changed my thought process of just doing what I feel is right and what I think
is right and not caring about what other people think of me or imagine me doing. How do you
switch your mind when you feel down? I have a way of sarcastically act like everything is okay.
And that a lot of the time switches my mood into something positive. Yeah. So kind of sometimes
fake it. But also at certain times, just feel it. Just go through it as well. Yeah. Sometimes you
just need to go through it. Otherwise, it will like linger for days, weeks. Right. But it depends on
obviously the situation that you're in or like if you're working, you cannot like feel it all the
way. So sometimes just fake it. It can switch up your mood eventually. Good tip. Question number
nine. What's your superpower? My superpower? I wouldn't know. What do you think from the
impression and like the conversations that we have so far? What's my superpower?
I would say we've only met twice. Yeah. One virtual, one in person. Yeah. And this is really
the first time that you and I are talking. Yeah. And I felt so at ease talking to you. Okay. And
I'm not saying this just to make you feel good. I genuinely enjoy this conversation. So I think
Angela Onuohaのスーパーパワー
your superpower is your natural ability to have a genuine, joyful conversation. Your personality,
your character to be cheerful, to be authentic. Yeah. I think your superpower is the ability to
make the other person feel at ease. I love that. Oh, it makes sense. I do always want to try to
make everyone feel comfortable. So that makes sense. Well, that's my superpower then. Yeah. I
would imagine that a lot of the followers follow you for the same or similar reasons. Yeah. That
probably what might be the case. Yeah. You're right. Yeah. Question number 10. Last question.
What is creativity to you? Honestly is being able to do whatever you want, like creative,
it doesn't matter what, without boundaries. I think that the thing that every creative finds
annoying is the boundaries and that a lot of the times limits us in being even successful in a
sense or achieving certain things. So I would say that. Great. So that was the lightning questions.
Hoping you enjoyed this segment as much as I did. If you're listening to this on Spotify,
there's a Q&A field. So please do send us your questions and comments. And if you like our
podcast, please leave us a five-star rating. We'll be so grateful. One announcement that I
新しいポッドキャストの紹介
like to make is that I recently started a new podcast called Hitmakers. It is a podcast about
how brands influence culture. And I talk with a good friend of mine, Anna Angelich, a brand
executive, a sociologist, and a published author. I had Anna as a guest on the Creative Mindset
podcast. And since then, we've decided to start this podcast together. It is a biweekly show that
gets released every Thursday on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts.
You can also watch us on YouTube. Please do follow that show as well if you're interested
in topics at the intersection of brands, business, and culture. I'm Reina Moro,
and this is the Creative Mindset. See you next time.
