山ちゃんの今年の抱負

That opening though...
00:00
Can you give me some sort of a lyric that I can sing along?
Okay.
See, if only I had the lyrics, then I think I can make the intro a blast.
Okay, then I'm gonna find you a little book which is written in English.
But there is...
You don't have one?
No.
But how about this?
Ah!
Okay, that's good.
Like this.
Okay, so what I'm thinking is, I think the melody is not the problem.
I think the words just don't come out is the problem.
Okay.
So I got the words down here.
So I feel like I can do an opening that's a blast.
That's really good.
Yeah.
Let's try that thing.
Maybe it's really...
Okay.
Did you find one?
I'm gonna use "We should equalize educational opportunity for children."
That's the lyric I'm gonna use.
That's the message.
Yes, that's the message.
We should equalize education opportunities for the children of the men who's vending newspapers.
Oh yeah!
What?
What?
That was nice.
That was nice.
That was nice.
It's a great idea.
Yeah.
This is an awesome idea.
I'm gonna return this book to where it belongs.
I think it was here.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yep.
Alright.
I am so relieved.
That I was able to do an opening that I am satisfied with.
Wow.
It's been a long time.
Yeah.
I think it's the first time that you did fully, like the whole song.
I think I did.
I think that was the first time.
Very satisfied.
Nice song.
Right.
Okay.
You know what?
We didn't think about the topic.
Okay.
We got the opening down.
We didn't have a topic.
Right.
So we need to figure that out now.
Wow.
Now that's our problem now.
It's really tough to find one topic, you know.
Alright, alright, alright.
I got one.
Oh really?
03:00
Wow.
Clever boy.
Oh yeah!
Give me more!
Okay.
What is that?
Tell me your New Year's resolution.
What do you mean resolution?
This year's resolution.
Oh okay.
New Year's resolution.
Actually I had my resolution of this year.
I wrote down to my diary.
Oh yeah.
Which I carry always.
The brand new diary which you never carry.
It's a home stationery kind of, home station diary, right?
No, it's portable, carryable.
It's a desktop, right?
No.
It's air.
And I, but I, you know, I don't want to, you know, I don't want to reveal it.
Oh okay.
No problem, no problem.
It's for me.
Alright, alright.
So you build all that momentum up just to say no.
You were like, oh yeah, I got one.
And you're like, oh let me show you this new diary I got.
Yeah.
Okay, it's written here.
Maybe not.
Maybe not, Kevin.
Maybe it's not a good idea.
Maybe it's not a good idea.
Yeah.
I'll take it.
Wait, wait, wait.
Okay, I got it.
I have to say that, say this.
Okay.
I have to reveal this because this year is my resolution is Sarasu.
Really?
Yeah.
Okay.
So that's why I have to Sarasu my resolution.
You don't have to dude.
Like if you're not comfortable, don't be man.
Yeah, but I have to this year, you know.
Really?
Yeah.
Don't like choke yourself.
Yeah.
But I, you know, I have to try this because if you don't, I don't reveal nothing to public,
you know.
Okay.
So I have to reveal my things to the people.
Okay.
This year.
That's what I, my.
That's your, that's one of your goals.
Yeah.
One of your resolutions.
Of this year.
So I said that in public.
Wow.
So why?
Why?
Why are you comfortable elaborating that?
What?
Elaborating is my.
Elaborating means.
Okay.
Are you comfortable with that?
Yeah.
Okay.
Like I'm not comfortable, but I have to try this.
Okay.
Why are you trying that?
Like you don't have to.
Like if you don't, if I don't try this, I wouldn't say nothing to anybody, but I just
do this and don't put it in public and that's all.
I will be like satisfied with what I did and finish.
So in this year I have to put this into the public and try to make my production in the
market.
You know what I mean?
Got it.
You're talking about your musical work.
Like musical work and of course also my, like what I think and what I felt while I write.
06:05
But I, uh, personality a little bit.
Are you talking about the S the social media context or not?
It doesn't have to be like, like I'm not thinking start my Instagram account or Twitter, but
it could be, it could be.
But you know, simply just in this kind of conversation, I have to try revealing myself
a little bit.
You know, that's what I want to try in this year.
So what's the, so, okay.
Tell me again what the merit or like what you're trying to accomplish here by a, by
revealing yourself to the public.
Like if I don't reveal this anything to public, then I, you know, I can't satisfy with myself
only doing this.
So it cannot be spreading around and it will be like bigger.
That's what I felt.
So last year, you, I, I, so as far as I know, you, you're the type of person who is satisfied
by doing the action by the creation itself, the act of creating music itself, right?
You making that piece of artwork, you creating that piece of musical work, the, the act of
creating satisfies you.
Not not the part where you post it out and you get likes and you get your, you get accepted
by the market or not.
It's that's not where you get your satisfaction from.
It's the act of creating the musical work, right?
So that's, that's you the year before.
Now, so I just want to, I just want to get this clear to that I understood the question.
Now what you're trying to do is you were trying to be more business oriented in my opinion,
because you need to grow your musical, musical profession, your profile, your musical profile.
You wanted to grow a little bit bigger.
So you, you thought that you needed to publicize your act, publicize all of your activities
out there to, to, to get what you're doing known to everybody.
Yeah.
Which would lead to awareness than to conversions to bigger, bigger kind of portfolio kind of,
is that what, is that what, did I get that correctly?
Partially right.
It could be like that to the conversion things, but for me is getting bigger means get to
know with better musicians, better producers, better singers so that I can make better music
with them.
That's more important to me.
So the route is not changed, but you know, I want to like spread my connections to, to
them, you know, I want to make friends.
So you want to have, you want to have more, I don't think, I don't know if this is the
09:04
right way of saying that, but you, you, you want more tools and options to create more
diverse form of music.
Is that correct?
Did I word that correctly?
Yeah.
Okay.
Okay.
Gotcha.
Gotcha.
So, okay.
You want to put yourself out there to make connections so that you can leverage the connections
to fulfill your musical, right.
Diversity.
Right.
And also, of course, as you said, I have to make some money from my activity.
If you know, you can continue your, your, your, your activity.
So that's one of course, one reason.
But basically I want to spread my connection so that I can sing with better pianist, maybe
better guitar player, make maybe band, maybe, you know, that's my thing.
Ah, okay.
That's great.
Yeah.
So this year, well, that was only about music element, but basically what I'm trying to
do in this year is spread myself out.
I mean, revealing myself a little bit, you know.
Does that mean that you are going to open up some sort of a, like a, like a, like an
email or you can open up your email or are you going to open up some sort of a, like
an Instagram account or something, or is that what you're going to do?
Um, you know, maybe.
Maybe, right?
It's a longterm goal, so it's not going to happen so quickly.
Yeah, but that's something that I have to do.
I have to try.
But you know, it's really tough for me to open like in the public, so.
Right, I understand.
You know.
I understand.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
So later on I will try, but maybe.
But like, I feel like you're already at a point where you've exposed yourself to the
public enough that you're comfortable, already comfortable, opening up the rest of yourself
out there.
Don't you think?
Do you not?
What do you mean?
Like you've already, you already have lots of videos on Kevin's English Room YouTube
channel.
Yourself is on that channel.
And everyone knows who you are.
Your face is out there.
And a lot of your personalities are, you know, uncovered in those videos.
And I feel like you're already comfortable.
People know like at least 30% of you.
Okay, maybe that was a little bit too much.
Maybe like 15% let's say, just to keep it safe.
Maybe people already know 15% of you.
That's a lot.
You know, 15% is a lot.
I am talking very fast right now.
You do.
I'm talking very fast right now.
But I do.
I understand you.
Right.
So like, right.
People already know 15% of you.
So I feel like you're already comfortable letting out the rest of the 50%.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I don't think it would be such a difficult thing to do.
What do you think?
Like for you, it's not that difficult.
But for me, it's really difficult to reveal myself.
Like even if we were in front of the camera and trying to take a video for YouTube channel,
12:02
you know, sometimes I can't reveal myself and just, you know, like people noticing that
in some videos I don't speak at all.
You know, sometimes it's really difficult to me.
So that's what I want to try, you know.
It's not something that I will be open 100% to and tell everything to public.
But I just want to try a little bit, a little bit, a little bit, so that I can be more comfortable.
Right.
Right.
That's what I want to try in this year.
Got it.
So you want to try to, you want to take action, take steps to try to open up some parts of
your personal.
Right.
Like in last year, I didn't try at all.
Like if I don't try, I don't say nothing and I don't like explain myself.
Right.
What I want to do in this year is try to explain myself, what I think, what I do.
One point English here.
Okay, go on.
That's a very useful phrase in this situation is to push yourself.
Push yourself.
I'm going to try to push myself to reveal.
Okay.
It's, it has a nuance of trying harder than try to, saying try to, try to reveal myself.
If you want to add more of a, like a, more of a, you say push myself to try to open up.
Push myself to open up, open myself up to the world.
Okay.
That's what you're saying.
Right.
So what I want to try is, what I want to try is to push up myself.
Push myself, not up.
Push myself.
Oh, push myself.
Right.
Just push myself.
Push myself to open.
To open, right.
To the public.
Right.
Wow, I spoke fast.
Sorry about that.
Yeah, but that was, that was interesting.
Like we got to see the deep part of you.
Yeah.
Which is very interesting and kind of rare.
So.
Oh yeah, maybe.
Right.
Thanks for listening guys.
Yeah.
