Hi, this is Meg.
Today, I want to share some thoughts about “waiting.”

About a year ago, I asked myself this question:
“Am I really able to wait?”

One morning, my husband was getting frustrated.
He was turning off lights I had left on, picking up my slippers, and saying,
“Again? You left everything like this!”

I felt a little bad, but in my heart I thought,
“I was going to do it later…”

And then, it hit me.
I do the same thing to my kids.

When they leave their clothes on the floor or forget their dishes,
I often say, “Why don’t you clean up right away?”

But maybe—just maybe—
they were planning to do it in their own timing.

Maybe I’ve been taking away their chance to act on their own,
because I couldn’t wait.

⸻

In today’s world, everyone cares about speed and productivity.
We hear messages like:
“Faster is better.”
“Do it now.”

But I’m starting to believe that waiting
is something deeply human.

It’s not just about patience.
It’s about trust.
Trusting someone else’s pace.
Trusting the timing of things.
Even trusting yourself.

⸻

I still catch myself wanting things to happen quickly—
like asking my kids to hurry, or hoping someone will respond right away.

But in those moments, I try to pause and remind myself:
“Maybe I can trust their rhythm.”

Thank you for listening.
See you in the next episode.
