自然な演技の探求
Welcome to Kevin's English Room Podcast.
Hello.
So we talked about in the last episode,
you not being able to act naturally.
Yeah.
On your music video.
Yes, yes.
Asking about how I would do it.
Yeah.
I want to know the tips.
What's the struggle that you're feeling right now?
What's the struggle I'm feeling right now?
Yeah, like what...
Because I think you can act.
Like sometimes you do act.
Yeah.
Do you remember when...
I remember...
Yeah, like when we're like...
Three of us are talking.
You do sort of like a...
You do like a position.
Like you do...
You're in a character sometimes, right?
That's acting.
For me, that's the same thing.
Okay.
Like you're positioning yourself differently.
Yeah.
And then speaking from the angle.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. True.
Yeah.
You sometimes do like a senpai or like a kohai character.
That's...
And you...
I think you do that really well.
So...
Okay.
I see.
Same sort of...
Same mindset there.
Okay.
Yeah.
Is that the same mindset to you?
Exactly the same mindset.
Yeah.
Okay.
So that's...
I see.
Yeah.
So with that...
But just...
You're the light...
The lights person.
Yeah.
Lightning guy.
Yeah.
So maybe what we do basically with three of us...
What I'm feeling, what mindset of mine is...
It's just make it funny.
Okay.
I don't feel like I'm acting, but I'm just...
You don't want to make it...
Okay.
Make it...
That adds on to make it funny.
Yeah.
Sure.
Like making something bullshit.
Okay.
And then to make it funny...
I see.
I'm joking kind of.
Oh, okay.
That's more what I'm doing.
Okay.
So in the case of my music video, I was the lightning guy.
Mm-hmm.
I'm here to not make people laugh or like nothing joking.
Okay.
But I'm just...
I don't know.
Yeah, it feels a little different to me.
Do you kakko-tsukeru sometimes?
Have you done that in the past?
In the daily life?
Yeah.
I feel like it's closer to that then.
Okay, okay.
Yeah.
Kakko-tsukeru ne.
Yeah, kakko-tsukeru is really close to acting, you know.
Okay.
I think.
So...
Kakko-tsukeru.
When I'm singing, and then like there are like this phrase that, for example, like the very last...
Sure.
You, for example.
Yeah, sure.
I would try to do a little like...
Sure.
Point somebody and like little you kind of thing.
Sure.
That may be the kakko-tsukeru.
Is it like close?
演技と信念の関係
That's acting, right?
Yeah, but that's not acting to me.
Oh, okay.
I'm just singing it.
I see.
I'm just singing the words.
It's like a performing kind of...
Okay, but it's the same thing.
Oh, yeah.
Maybe you don't believe in what you're doing.
Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Maybe when you're doing the cameraman, you don't believe that you're a cameraman.
True, true.
You have to believe that you're actually lighting her.
Oh, yeah, that's right.
I guess.
That's right.
I'm not that deeply in the role.
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, true.
Maybe that's why.
I was half just me.
Yeah.
And just, okay, this is my first acting.
And then, okay, he's going to give me a cue.
And I, okay, I do this like turning out.
And this is my music video.
Okay, and she's the actress.
Okay.
That was like, I would say 70% of me was like that.
Oh, okay.
And lightning guy was like just only 30% or something.
Yeah.
And that's why.
I guess your mindset should be like, what can I do to put a light on her more beautifully
so that we can shed light on her?
Like, maybe that was my mindset.
Maybe I'll make it better.
Yeah.
I mean, I'm not sure if I can do that.
But that makes so much sense.
Yeah, yeah.
So, if you were me, and if you were going to do that lightning act, you would be in
deep like that.
You would think like, okay, how am I lightening her and the angles?
Well, that's a scene that's so, well, it's only three seconds.
Yeah.
And it's only just doing that.
I don't have to say anything.
So, it's only the facial expressions that I have to do.
Right, right, right.
So, I don't have to go deeper that much for me to do that.
Like, I don't have to think about anything to look like I'm a cameraman.
Okay, okay.
So, I don't have to do that.
Yeah, yeah.
But I guess if you, let's say you have more lines, let's say you have more complicated
lines, then I would start going into the mindset of an actual, I don't know, shoumei-san.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
And just start thinking what the actual professional would think.
Maybe that's one.
So, you're not Kevin anymore.
You're the shoumei-san.
Yeah.
That makes it really natural, I think.
Like, all these nuanced adoribus and like all these nuanced motions and like hand motions
and like facial expressions, that, yeah, that really, it matters.
You're so professional.
Well, I don't know if...
自然な演技の心得
I don't know.
Okay.
But, I mean, that makes so much sense to me.
Yeah.
Okay, okay.
Yeah.
So, I get it.
I get the sense.
Yeah.
The mindset.
Right, right, right.
Yeah.
Okay.
So, I mean, I'm not sure if I can do that.
Like, properly 100% from the next time, like that.
Yeah.
Yeah.
That gives me like so much kind of, I don't know.
Like insight?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Knowledge or like mindset and...
Yeah.
Okay.
Hopefully.
Hopefully that would help.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
You have this side of you where you start laughing when you can't laugh.
Yeah.
Does that...
Is that a sort of a barrier or no?
Not that much.
Okay.
Not that much.
I was more like, I didn't even think about that.
Okay.
I was like too nervous.
Okay.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Okay.
For me, like people who are like, who have like high intellectual, like intellectual EQ, EQ.
Have high EQs.
High EQs.
Okay.
Like, who's like really great at acting, like people who can think about what other people
are thinking.
I see.
Right?
So, I think if you get the hang of it, I think you're like, be easy for you.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Right.
Yeah.
I mean, that was good advice.
Yeah.
Because I was acting.
Like I'm from my side, you know?
Oh, yeah.
I've never tried to like get in to the show business side and...
Yeah.
Okay.
Yeah.
Hope that helps.
Yeah.
I mean, a lot.
A lot.
Yeah.
That helps.
I'm going to try that.
演技への不安
Yeah, try that.
Try that.
For the next time.
And I'm not sure if I can do it perfectly.
Uh-huh.
But...
Yeah.
Yeah.
Huge difference, I guess.
Okay.
Okay.
But the music video.
Yeah.
The music video.
Yes.
We'll get to see.
Yeah.
How you acted.
Everybody was so gentle to me.
Is that embarrassing to you?
For people to see your acting?
No?
It is a little bit embarrassing for me.
Yeah.
A little bit.
To have people look at my acting.
Yeah.
Because it's not like me, I guess.
Okay.
It's not...
Yeah.
I see.
Well, yeah, of course.
I'm not...
So, first of all, I'm not that...
I'm not somebody that I want to be in front of the camera and I want to be on the camera,
guys.
So, I'm more like, yeah.
Sure.
So, yeah.
Okay.
A little bit, but...
Right.
Yeah.
So, yeah.
Yeah.
But, yeah.
Right.
In any way, I'm happy with the video.
Oh, yeah.
I made it.
Finally.
Right.
Congrats on that.
Yeah.
Congrats on that.
What was the title again?
What was that?
Yeah, the title is Yurameki.
Okay.
That's my song.
Yeah.
Really important song to me.
By Magura.
By Magura, yes.
This is my first ever music video.
Awesome.
Congrats on that.
Thank you.
All right.
Thanks for listening, guys.
Thank you.
Bye-bye.
