Welcome to Kevin's English Room Podcast!
We got ourselves a sofa, right?
From my home.
Yeah.
Yep.
Thank you for bringing this.
Oh yeah, brought to the studio.
I didn't need it anymore.
You don't use this anymore?
No.
I don't need it anymore.
Really?
Why?
Because I'm on a quest to making my room as big as possible.
So anything I don't need, I'm just throwing it out.
Yeah.
That's why I didn't need that cabinet over there as well.
Here's rocks.
Yeah.
You don't need those anymore.
Yeah.
Yeah, it's a...
Nope, don't need them.
Yep.
I've already spaced myself enough.
I've already made a lot of space so that it fits everything.
Yeah.
Yeah.
You know how I said that I've done a lot of dead space killing?
Dead space killing?
Dead space killing, yeah.
Dead space already killed, but yeah, dead space killing.
Okay.
I killed the dead spaces.
You killed the dead spaces.
Right.
I've...
You know, I...
It's already dead.
It's...
You killed again.
I've revived the dead spaces.
I think that's better.
Yeah, yeah.
I've revived them.
Okay, yeah.
That's better, yeah.
I've revived all the dead spaces and I got everything.
I've made lots of space.
So I made so much to the point where I don't have anything to put.
Yeah.
I've told you that before, right?
Yeah.
So I've decided to put away all my racks.
Okay.
My shelves.
Because you don't have any things.
I don't have anything.
Yeah, I don't have anything to put.
So now I just have a bigger room.
Okay, that's great.
Yeah.
It's all spacious.
Okay.
And it's looking great.
Okay.
Yeah.
So you didn't feel that you need to fill the spaces now?
You know, it now kind of feels instead of a dead space, it feels more like a bigger living
room.
Okay, that's your preference.
Right.
I didn't make it a dead space, right?
It's now an area where I relax.
Okay.
So it's not a dead space.
Okay.
Yeah.
Right.
That's better.
Right.
Yeah.
Okay.
Are you comfortable?
Yeah.
Are you all good?
Yeah, I'm good.
We're closer than ever.
We're closer than ever.
It's as close.
03:02
I think when we did podcast at your place.
Yeah.
The address before, right now, we sat in the sofa.
Yeah.
I think we were kind of this close a little bit.
True.
But kind of this close.
Yeah.
We didn't have the video rolling, right?
Yeah, yeah.
We were close.
Yeah.
Right.
We put an iPhone here.
Right.
Yeah.
I remember that.
Right.
Wow.
Yeah, but that's better.
I mean, it's more comfortable.
My body's more comfortable.
Yeah, yeah.
Right.
Unless that you know the cables are a bit...
I mean, we're trapped in here.
Literally trapped in these cables.
We can't escape from here.
Hey.
Yeah.
It's like a gate.
I know.
It opens.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Have you been doing, man?
Yeah, I was a bit kind of sick the other day.
Oh, yeah.
You couldn't make it to the soccer practice, right?
Yeah.
What happened to you?
You were sick?
I wasn't sick.
I wasn't like...
It's not like a virus thing.
But one thing that I, you know, in my mind, the reason might be is I took a bath.
Bath, yeah.
Yeah.
For like one hour.
Okay.
Twice a day for five days.
What?
And then...
What are you doing, man?
Oh, my gosh.
I thought that's good for my body.
What kind of journey is that?
I got a bath salt as a gift.
Like a bath salt bath bomb.
Yeah.
And then I tried to use that for the first time in my life.
Okay.
And I felt so good.
And it felt so good.
Oh, did it?
Yeah.
It was...
So, I thought and I felt, oh, this must be really good for my body.
And then I did it.
And I overdid it.
You did it twice a day, an hour each time.
Yeah.
And I think my body went too tired.
Oh, no.
I was kind of melted away.
On the day we planned to do our football training, I was like...
I was like...
I was melted.
Oh.
Yeah.
And on that day, I couldn't do nothing.
Really?
All my day.
I was just like...
06:03
Yeah.
And then this morning, I thought I got sick, the kind of corona, COVID things.
But no, I had no fever.
It was just...
I was too tired.
Wow.
So...
I do hear that, you know, when you go to onsen, right?
Like you feel very relaxed.
And like when you get out of onsen, like you're, oh, wow, this feels great.
Like my fatigue problem is all gone.
But in reality, what's happening is your body, it's giving your body so much like...
Yeah.
Damage, right?
It's actually fatigue that you're feeling that makes you...
Yeah.
But it tricks you into thinking that, okay, this must be like super relaxed, right?
That's what I did to my body.
Yeah.
You did it 10 times a week.
Yep.
I sweat a lot during my bath.
Oh, yeah.
Because the bath salt made me sweating so many.
I see.
And I felt, I'm sweating.
It's healthy.
It's like sauna.
Yeah.
Yeah.
But actually, you know, I just damaged my body.
But I guess it's a form of exercising.
I think so.
Right?
Like if you take in enough, you know, water, wouldn't that be healthier?
Yeah.
That's what I thought.
Oh, that's what you thought.
Right.
Yeah.
And I drank so many, I brought, you know, a bottle of water and drunk, drunk.
But maybe the water was really too hot, maybe.
Oh, okay.
Oh.
Should be like more like 30, 36, 37 degrees.
Not to give your body so much, you know.
Yeah.
Like, half-body bathing things.
Yeah.
Mine was 42 degrees.
Oh, no.
Your whole body was in there.
Yeah.
Okay.
That's probably, that's probably not good.
So I stopped it.
Yeah.
And I'm fine.
That's good.
That's good to hear.
Yeah.
You know, my, my soccer level has been going up ever since.
Oh, really?
Like I sometimes, you know, Mutsune, he's one of the members of the soccer team.
The team mate.
Yeah.
And he's, he's fairly good at soccer, right?
He was in the soccer club, high school.
Yes.
Junior high even.
Yeah.
Junior high.
You know, one-on-one, I sometimes, I sometimes beat him.
Oh.
And you know, so I can't wait.
I can't wait for that.
You and Mutsune versus me and Naruchan.
09:02
I just can't wait.
Wow.
Yeah.
Oh, we've really, yeah, I'm looking forward.
Yes.
Having that time.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Wow.
Get ready.
How, what did you do in the training session?
Um, it's, uh, we did, so we did some, you know, back and forth kicks and, um, we also
did the, uh, one-on-one plus free man battle.
Like whoever has the ball, the free man goes on his side.
Right.
And then we did the two-on-one constantly switching whoever has the ball.
We did that.
And with the two-on-one thing, like I'm now more confident of like, he can come this close
and he's not going to do anything.
Oh.
I'm more calm.
Oh, great.
Like he's still this far.
So I don't have to like freak out or anything.
I can still look around, see where I can pass my ball.
And it's, um, I'm, my visions are wider.
I feel like that's great.
Yeah.
You got so many, so much confidence.
Oh yes.
For the closer battles.
Yeah.
Closer contact.
Oh, one-on-ones.
Oh, that's great.
I'm more, yes.
I'm more confident.
I can't wait.
Yeah.
Not wait.
For the two-on-two.
Yeah.
How about Naru-chan?
Is he good?
Yeah.
He's, uh, I think he's, um, is he good as, as you?
I would, I would, I'm, I'm, I would like to be nice right now.
And I would like to be a nice person.
Yeah.
Okay.
I would, I would, I would hate to call somebody a bad player.
That's not nice.
I feel like, you know, I mean the FIFA players out there that's on the world cup.
I would, I would hate to diss the, the, the, the plays that they do.
Yeah, of course.
Of course.
And I would, from that, I would say Naru-chan is, I would, I would say he's, he's working
hard.
Okay.
He's walking out.
Yeah.
I think he's enjoying the game and I think that's what matters.
I think he's got the spirit inside him.
Okay.
That's, uh, that makes him, um, very, um, fun to be around and very, um.
Yeah.
You told me everything here.
Well, yeah, I mean, I think he has gotten better.
Like, you know, I mean, at least from my amateur eyes.
Yeah.
Cause it's just three or four times, right?
Yeah.
Since Naru-chan joined.
Yeah.
Because the reason why I see progress is like the first time he, he, he first started with
some leather shoes and now he wears sneakers.
So that's, that's a huge improvement in his performance there.
Like the first 15 minutes.
Yeah.
And then he's like, oh my God, my feet hurt.
Of course.
12:00
Why come with that leather shoes to the football park?
He didn't think it was going to be this extreme.
He said.
Really?
He thought it was going to be more like a, like a, like a date thing.
Yeah.
Like a guy girl date thing of like, here's the ball.
No.
He's wearing spikes and.
Yeah.
Wow.
Yeah.
But as an, you know, as a team, we're really, I'm really glad that, you know, you becoming
a great player.
Thank you.
Yeah.
I can't wait for the day we go on tournament.
Yeah.
I can't wait.
Yeah.
Just joined some like six versus six.
Yeah.
Like a mini.
Local.
Yeah.
Football.
Football.
Football.
Yeah, football, football, futsaru things, maybe?
- Sure. - Yeah.
- That'll be fun, that'll be really fun.
- Yeah. - Yeah.
- All right. - You can't wait to see your play.
- Oh yeah, oh yeah. - Yeah.
- You'll be very disappointed, I'm sure.
(laughing)
All right. - Okay.
Thanks for sitting, guys. - Thank you.
- Bye.
(sniffling)
