金曜ロードショーのCM音量にビビる

我々のYouTubeも音量がデカいみたいで…

00:00
Welcome to Kevin's English Room Podcast!
Hello!
Alright!
Well thank you for all the settings.
Oh yeah, no problem.
I hope that it's not too loud.
Not too loud, not too small.
Yeah.
On the podcast I normalize my files, so on the podcast it should be fine, but on the
YouTube it's been a little bit small, so I hope this is a little bit better.
You guys won't freak out from the ads.
Yeah they are quite loud.
They make the ad sound, volume, as big as they can, you know?
It's quite surprising.
Have you ever, you know, a Kinyo Roudo show?
When you watch Kinyo Roudo show, what happens to me is whenever it goes to commercial, the
volume is so loud.
Does that happen to you?
Not... but I agree with you.
I mean not only the Kinyo Roudo show, but always ads are really loud.
Is there like a... why is it so loud?
Or maybe to make it more, you know...
Stand out?
Yeah, stand out, attractive.
You know, it's the same as they make, you know, the posters or kanbans really bright
yellow, bright red, you know, make it loud.
Yeah.
You know, it's the same thing I guess.
I feel like, you know, for TVs, I feel like they could have like done a better job with
volume controlling, right?
Yeah, sure.
Maybe one another thing is, especially about Kinyo Roudo show, maybe it's a different format
of sound between like movies, like in the theater, you know, the movie format and the
TV format maybe.
That's why it's like not adjustable?
Yeah, yes.
Because the movie sounds are, you know, adjusted for the theater like that.
The sound system.
Right, right, right, right, right.
And it converted in a weird way maybe.
Because, you know, variety program is really loud too.
Yeah.
So maybe the format.
Maybe.
Maybe.
So every time it's about to go to a commercial, I always get ready.
Because I don't want to freak out with the loud volume.
I like go down, bring it down and then just get ready for the commercial.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I have to do that every time.
That one, you know, happens in YouTube right now.
Yeah, that's how we do our podcast channel right now.
So hope this is better.
Yeah.
What do you change about the settings?
I just turned the fader.
It was usually, I think minus 10.
Wait, there is no minus sign on this gauge.
03:01
Oh, true.
Well, I mean, it should be like a minus right around here.
It was like around like nine.
It was like minus 10 or like minus 15, somewhere around there.
But I brought it up to like plus five to 10.
Wow.
It's a huge up.
It's a huge up.
Yeah.
Hope it's not too loud then.
Yeah, I don't think so.
I checked the test record.
Yeah.
I think it's okay.
Okay.
Yeah.
Wow.
Hopefully.
Now you're kind of professional recording engineer, you know.
Yeah, I know, right?
Yeah.
I kind of miss the days where I did it with two 1500 pin microphones.
Yeah.
Or like just a simple iPhone, you know.
Yeah.
Me and you and this iPhone right here.
You remember that we put a towel under the smartphones.
Yes, yes.
I remember.
Right.
Yeah.
That's what we did guys.
Yeah.
Yeah.
We're separate like about a year, like a half, like a year ago, we just recorded it with
only the iPhone microphone.
We put a towel, I find some sort of a cloth.
Yeah, your t-shirt.
Right.
You should place under the iPhone so that it doesn't like make noise.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Right.
So.
Wow.
Huge progress.
Huge progress.
I feel like, you know, these like fancy setups has its ups and downs.
Yeah.
Just as much as a solo iPhone recording studio has its ups and downs.
Both you know, they're both, you know, reasonable.
I really agree with you.
In situations.
Yeah.
Yeah.
True.
Like if we were like real professional about those equipments.
Yeah.
Then maybe it's better.
Yeah.
But you know, we have both ups and downs.
Right.
I mean, this is good.
If you just have a smartphone, you can just get it rolling.
Right.
So it's just, it's quick.
Yeah.
Right.
Yeah.
Fast, light.
Yeah.
Yeah.
See, same thing for the music recording.
You know, I do some covers and record and put out.
And you know, I have these kind of microphones, actually the same microphone.
Okay.
And have, you know, computers and record with those fancy things.
Yes.
But sometimes it's better when you record just with a smartphone.
Sounds much better.
Really?
It sounds better?
Yeah.
Why?
I don't know.
Maybe I'm really bad at those.
Or mixings.
But I don't know.
Like really?
Yeah.
See, what I do is just sing.
06:00
And record at the same time, the video format like this.
And my voice recorded through the microphone into the computer.
And this is also recording as in video.
Using that device?
Yeah.
Actually the Apple?
This one.
Yeah, yeah.
And then I put together and put out on YouTube.
So this is also recording, you know.
So I can hear this sound.
Yes.
And this sound too.
Yes, yes.
And when I listen to this sound, I sometimes feel, oh.
It's more natural?
Yeah.
It's actually better.
And then why am I using this?
Yeah.
Yeah.
That's weird.
Yeah.
That's weird.
Why that happens.
But you know, it's quite natural.
Like human, you know, heartwarming sound.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Like these setups?
Like are these suitable for audio recordings?
Like podcasts?
Yeah.
Like the amount of cables that are in front of us right now is unbelievable.
Unbelievable.
Right?
And it got me thinking.
Like it's just recording to human voices, right?
Yeah.
And is it, is this all necessary?
Like, is this for like a much higher level recording purpose?
This microphone?
This microphone.
Like what is it best for?
Voices.
Like singing?
Singing, speeches.
Speech?
You know, podcasts.
Okay.
Voice, for you know, voice.
So it's made perfectly for things like this?
Yeah.
Oh.
Okay.
But you know, there are some other equipments, you know, smartphones.
Yeah.
Well, you remember the task gun that we used before?
Yeah.
The recorded machine.
Yeah.
That one.
That's also an open arms.
Give me a hug.
Recorder.
Yeah.
That's also, you know, really good as a voice recorder.
Okay.
So, yeah.
But one good thing about this is you can separate two voices into two lines.
That's true.
That's true.
That's true.
So maybe it's easier to, you know, make better balances.
One man's voice.
Yeah.
Make the other one lower or something.
Yeah.
09:00
Or make one mute.
Mm-hmm.
Oh.
Yeah.
Right.
Oh.
Well.
Well.
I hope the audio for this is fine.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Sure, sure.
I'm using, um, a phonic software called alphonic.
Okay.
Normalize the file.
Okay.
The audio files.
I don't know if videos are doable.
What do you mean?
It can upload MP3s and like, oh, videos to M4A.
Yeah.
These are audio files.
Mm-hmm.
But I don't know if, I don't think it can upload a video format and then extract it
as a video format.
I know it can upload.
I know it can convert.
It can normalize video files, but it doesn't output it.
It doesn't output it as an MP4.
It outputs it as a MP3 file.
It just extracts the audio.
Right.
So I have to stitch it back to the audio, which is.
So.
Yeah.
Sure.
Yeah.
Hmm.
Well.
I hope the audio's better.
Yeah.
I hope.
Yeah.
I hope.
Yeah.
All right.
Okay.
All right.
What?
Another great day, actually.
Yeah, it's a really great day.
Yeah.
Thanks for listening, guys.
We always talk about how sunny it is.
Yeah.
On the very first recording.
Yeah, yeah.
It's really bright.
Yeah.
Really energetic.
Right, right, right.
I even.
Yeah.
Funky, sunny, great day.
Yeah.
Yeah, I love that.
