The 5-minute spinoff version of this show
Where we answer English questions we get from our listeners
It's free
It's free
All you have to do is download Amazon Music
You don't have to have a paid account
No, you don't
That's right
So be sure to check that out
Right
OK
You're trying to get used to the
Yes, I'm trying
I think you did the right one
I think you chose the right
Thank you
What was that?
Oh, you did
I didn't even notice
That means you did it really naturally
Wow, OK
Awesome
Every time I do this, I'm like
You're bending?
It's like you're stepping in
I'm gonna get ready in a second
Jumping, kind of
Still not
Very natural flow
It's not in me still, but
I'm getting used to
But you'll get there, right?
You'll get there if you continue doing that
Yeah, I think so
This is from Tomato
OK
Kemi-san, Yama-chan, Konnichiwa
He couldn't do that
He failed to do that
There's not many left
We have a shortage of 〇〇
Not responsible
Yeah
Same logic, right?
So I don't think America is
especially positive
There's not much left
Negative format, right?
So I don't
To me, I don't feel that much of a positivity
like in English
From the language?
Yeah
But I do feel like over positivity
like over
optimism
amongst the American civilization
I do see that, yeah
From the language?
Culture
American people
For example
Trump is going to save the country
Something like that
I get it
Something like that
But I get it
That's
That's America, right?
That's America, right? I know
Yeah
For example like
for the Major League Baseball
the final round of the Major League Baseball
the final round of the Major League Baseball
which is a domestic league
of the United States, right?
They call it World Series
which doesn't make any sense
It's not a domestic
It's just a domestic
They think they're the center of the country
Center of the world
Yeah
It's funny
It's funny
Do you feel that?
I think it's funny
Okay
I thought it's too natural
to people from the United States
For me
It's two cultures
I know both cultures
I feel like I have two countries
to compare
For me
I can see
America from the outside
When you compare to someone
who's only been there for their whole life
Yeah
06:02
Great to hear that
Oh, yeah
I mean, yeah
Sometimes I feel it too
Oh, yeah
Yeah
But that's how you've been educated, right?
No?
In school
Be confident
No?
Yeah, I mean
It's not educated, I think
It's just
That's how everyone kind of is
You sort of understand
that's how things are
Everyone says
It's America
America is the best country in the world
Everyone says that
It's America, it's okay
We'll get back up
It's America
What the fuck are you talking about?
Yeah
Sometimes it's a good attitude
In some way
In some situations, it's great
Yeah
Yeah
I thought it's like
You know
Educational thing
You've been taught in that way
Since you were very small
And then grow up
Oh yeah, America is the best country
I guess one thing you can say
Is that like every morning
We do the Pledge of Allegiance
Oh yeah
Where we
I forgot the words
But we pledge to the flag
Of America, right?
There's flag of America in every room
Yeah
And we get our right hand
And put it in our heart
And we say the
I forgot the phrase
Pledge of Allegiance
You'll see it
Praising the country?
Praising the country
I guess that's
What do you call those?
Patriarchy
Is that patriarchy?
Patriotism?
Patriotism
Yeah
I mean loving your country
I agree
To a certain extent, right?
To a certain extent
Yes
If you're like over confident
Then that's
Can be a little bit
Bit of an asshole sometimes, right?
If that happens
Yeah
Right
Whereas Japan
We tend to think like
Oh no, Japan
That's a terrible country
People say that, right?
I read
Like a survey
09:00
Like a very Japanesey
Result of like
When you're happy
Or like when you're
Or when you think you have a lot
You know
The feeling you get
The number one feeling you get
It's not oh I'm so happy
It's more like oh I have to hide my happiness
So other people won't
Think that I'm happy
Wow, that's very Japanese
That's the top? That's the number one?
That's like the top emotion you get
It's more like oh I have to make sure
That I'm like
I mean that's a
Beautiful thing
Beauty on its own
But
There's both sides
Both sides
Yeah
Japanesey
But
I feel like Japan is a very good country
I love Japan
To be honest
To be honest living in two countries so far
I love Japan
Yeah
What's your most favorite country to live in?
I've been
Pretty
Many countries but
I mean
It's a good country
It's a good country man
I love it here
I love it here
Right
Day after day
Year by year
I appreciate Japan so much
So fucking much
That's a great thing
I do every time I ride the train
Every time
Something irregular happens
I love the people around
How they react towards it
How they respond towards it
Very good people
I look at the cities, it's clean
I eat food, it's safe
So delicious
Delicious, I love it here
I go to the grocery store and look at the product
It's
Fresh
Beautiful
Beautiful, clean
I love it here
Thanks for sending guys
Bye
You have to hide it
