Welcome to ケビン's English Room Podcast. Hello. Good afternoon.
Good afternoon. Yep. How's it going? Good. Good? Great.
All's good? Weather's nice. Yeah. Pretty good, no? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Not hot. Yeah. Not too cold.
Yeah. Finally going to like a just walk out. Yeah. Having fun. Yeah. Appreciate the weather.
Right. It's unbelievable that several days ago it was just burning hot. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah. True. Yeah. I went to my parents' house and met my grandma. Yeah. And she watches our videos.
Oh, really? Yeah. Yeah. And she said that, tell Mr. Kevin-san. Yes. That you have to eat more.
How come? Because you look, because he looks like getting skinnier and skinnier every day.
Oh, shit. Yeah. And I was surprised because I've never noticed that you've lost, you know,
eight kilos, right? Yeah, eight kilos. Eight kilos. Right. Yeah. And I didn't even notice that.
But my grandma said like, Oh, shit. She noticed. She noticed that. Ow.
Does she listen to the podcast? I mean, I watch just the video, I guess.
Oh, the video. Got it, got it, got it. So if I tell her the message right now,
she probably will not reach, it would not reach her. She's going to watch this too. Oh, the video.
Yeah. You're talking about the podcast video. Yeah. I know also that you know us. The YouTube,
the main channel. Yeah. I see, I see. Well, hey, thank you for that. Thank you for, um,
but I'm eating pretty healthy. Yeah. You know, I'm eating pretty healthy veggies,
fruits. Yeah. Healthy fats, meats, um, all that stuff. Trying to cut down on the
processed food though. Yeah. Yeah. That was, that was what I've been doing. Yeah. So, you know,
it's not like I'm not, I'm going on a extremely weird diet or nothing like that. It's just,
I'm going very healthy. Yeah. Yeah. Right. Or walking too hard. Right. Having no time to,
you know, eat things. Right. It's nothing like that. Yeah. Nothing like that. Right.
Yeah. I'm getting plenty of sleep, getting lots of nutrients. So thank you for the shinpai.
Thank you though. I'm all right. I'm all right. Yeah. Wow. So I was surprised, you know,
03:02
you know, that she noticed it. It is, it is very surprising. Right. Yeah. So that's, that's
something I have to tell you. Oh yeah. Thank you. Thank you for that. Yeah. Thank you for your
grandmother. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I actually bought a, yesterday I bought a, um, weight scale. Not
like one of those only, not like one of those like weight scales that only scales weight, but
like also like body mass, like, you know, yeah. Stuff like that. All that stuff. I bought that
yesterday and I'm, I'm planning on like actually, you know, carefully watching my BMI. Oh yeah. You
know how much, like, I've never, I've never actually like scaled my muscle amount or like
body fats. Like I've done it several times in the gym here and there. If they had the machine,
but like, I actually never liked to like take track of it, you know, never actually like
recorded it, like had like, like a goal or nothing like that. So I'm gonna see what would
happen. Yeah. Yeah. All right. What's your goal? You, you, you want to like a gain a little bit?
Yeah. I want to, I want to, um, go back to, um, not a high healthy BMI, but like a mid range BMI.
I'm at a low, low range healthy BMI. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I see. So you need to gain some fat rate.
Okay. Okay. Yeah. But you don't want to go too high, right? Yes. I don't want to go out of,
yeah. I don't want to go out of the unhealthy, go out of the healthy range.
Right. I have to take balance. That's right. Watch carefully. That's right. So I have to eat pizza
and everything. What's a good way to gain weight? I've never, that has never been my topic. What is
a healthy way to gain weight? So I have no knowledge of doing that. Okay. Do you eat lots of,
yeah, lots and lots of healthy stuff or should I take in a little unhealthy shit? So, I mean,
the fastest way would be like, you know, just having, you know, those like processed food. Yeah.
I mean, not only processed, but like, yeah, those like you're talking about like fries and ramen,
like which, which means like fat basically. Oh, so fats affect you the most? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Because it contains nine kilocalorie per grams, I guess. I see. Which is higher than the
protein and carbohydrate. Double, I guess. Yeah. I'm not sure about. Okay. It was like four,
seven, four, something like that. Yeah. So if you take like fat. I see. That leads you to get,
you know, high calorie. I see. And then you can gain your weight.
06:01
Uh, that's, I guess the fastest way though. Okay. You know, that's not healthy, right?
That's not healthy, right? Healthy, but still getting them. Yeah. Yeah. So you have to just
eat a lot of healthy shit. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. Okay. That's like tons of like chickens,
tons of, you know, like fishes. Yes. You know? Okay. I see. Yeah. Like, you know,
cabbage, cabbage, you know, tons of like, you know, uh, you know, leaves. I see. Um, rice.
Oh, that's a rice. Yeah. That's right. Yes. I see. Yeah.
Cause um, um, yeah, you need fat, right? Then. Yeah. Yeah. Maybe you, you, you, you need to eat
like things like cheese, maybe like a milk or like salmon or those contains good fat. I think.
Got it.
Yeah. Have you seen like, um, you know, um, there's that the competition called, um,
forget the name. Oh, it's like sounded like a Greek, Greek thing. But anyways, it's like a,
the heaviest class of bodybuilding. Oh, okay. I see. Like the biggest ones, the biggest ones.
And there's, um, the YouTube videos compilation of those players cooking them for themselves
and then eating and then they kind of introduces how people should eat to get this. Oh, okay.
And, um, someone like this. Yeah. Yeah. It's not this one that I saw, but I just, uh,
the title of us, like, like you, you don't need protein powder or something like that.
Oh, I see. And then basically it explains that you don't need any of those like protein powder. So
like any artificial things to get this. Okay. The guy cooks for himself, like tons of chickens like
this and cook. No, no, not coming up. Yeah. When we search with, um,
Yamagishi-san, maybe, you know, Yamagishi. Yeah. I'm not sure.
09:09
Yeah. I remember the title was like protein.
Kind of like that. I see. And, um, maybe that's something you should do.
So basically they, they don't want to get fat, but muscles. They want more muscles. Yeah. Yeah.
So maybe it's a little different from your situation maybe because you need fat, right? Yeah.
I do. I do want to see how they're eating. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. They eat like seven times a day.
Oh shit. Okay. Yeah. Tons of fishes, tons of chickens and rice. They make, you know,
little bentos for himself for like seven bentos for a day.
They eat that. Wow. I don't, is that exciting? That's the thing about bodybuilders, right?
That it's that they're so committed that they have, they, they, they, they find, I don't know
if they find joy in that, but like, hopefully, right. Hopefully they find joy in that so much,
but they, they forgotten about the whole, like whole, like adventure of like new, new flavors
and like new dishes and stuff like that. Like you can't just randomly go to a restaurant and be like,
Hey, I want to eat that. I can never have it here in that realm. Right. This is, yeah. You got to
eat like same thing. Same thing. It's scheduled. Yeah. So you can't just spontaneously be like,
Hey man, you want to go off or drink? Never happens, right? No, I'm sorry.
I got it. No, no. I got to drink protein, man.
Yeah. That's the highest mentality. That's right. Professionals. The professional. Yeah,
absolutely. All right. Thanks for sitting guys. Bye-bye.
