Creativity, Parenthood, and Whatever We Have Time For
In this episode, I talk about life as a parent of a young child and how that has changed my relationship with creativity, work, and free time.
With a one-year-and-ten-month-old toddler at home, finding uninterrupted time for drawing, writing, or even thinking can be difficult. We talk about the realities of parenting, the challenge of holding onto personal interests, and the small ways creativity continues to find its place in everyday life.
The conversation also wanders through language, life in Switzerland, podcasts, videos, and the importance of having people to talk to about the things that interest us. Along the way, we reflect on feeling out of place, finding community, and making space for curiosity even when time and energy are limited.
Rather than offering solutions or productivity advice, this episode is simply a conversation about where life is right now.
