Thank you.
Oh, yeah, nice.
Good name.
Good name.
Yeah, that is one of the topics I want to talk to you about.
I hate it.
I hate even going in the store where it's near closing time.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Okay, let's say the store closes at…
Let's say the Starbucks closes at…
at what? Like 9, right?
I would not go in…
I would hesitate to go in if it's…
8…
40.
8.40, then I would give up.
If it's 8.30?
Still okay.
Last minute sneak in.
That's still acceptable for me.
Okay.
Yeah.
Yeah.
But barely.
But I would not order like a frappuccino.
I would not order like three frappuccinos.
Okay.
But with the pastries and quiche.
Nothing like that.
I would just order,
Just give me like a coffee.
The coffee is good.
Yeah.
Like a tall size coffee is great.
That's what I would go for.
Yeah.
Yeah.
If it's 8.40, not even go in.
Don't even…
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Bother going in.
Right, right, right.
Yeah.
I remember a few years ago, like two years ago, I guess.
We three were like outside and tried to find the place to eat.
Okay.
And we were close to the Burger King.
Okay.
And we tried to enter that place.
And then it was almost the closing time.
And I ordered some few things like just a usual set.
Okay.
Burger set.
Okay.
And then as it was very close to the closing time, they had no like maybe coffee or something.
Okay.
And the clerk told me that, ah,
And then I said, I don't remember.
I don't remember.
But anyways, I, you know, ordered that set.
Okay.
And then after that, you were like, wait, I was so…I didn't like the moment.
That was almost closing time and I didn't…
I was hesitate to even enter to that place.
Yeah.
I strongly remember that.
And that's something that completely didn't exist in my, you know, mind.
That was not in you.
Yeah.
Because I have never thought about clerks.
Because I have no experience of like that side, like, you know, stock clerk side.
So, but you were, you know, professional, you know, clerks before, right?
So, you kind of, you knew everything, kind of, right?
And yeah, that was eye-opening moment to me.
Oh, it was eye-opening for you?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Okay, okay.
Yeah, at that moment, like, it was like, I don't know, like five minutes before closing time.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
And like, if you, if you said yes to that, oh, brew new coffee?
Sure, go ahead.
I have time.
Yeah.
Like, I would have been like, yo.
No.
Yeah.
So, I…
I rather wanted to be polite to say,
That was polite to me.
Or like, should I change?
But, you know, change would be like, disrespectful.
It would be sound…
Oh, wow.
aggressive for them.
Completely different from how I would perceive that.
Right, right, right.
So, yeah, that was eye-opening to me.
Yeah.
Right.
Yeah.
And honestly, to that moment, I completely didn't have zero, zero, like, thought on store side.
Okay, yeah.
Because I just enter, like, even like 30 seconds before the store closing, and then I can order anything.
That was my mind.
Hold on.
So, you, you would enter a Burger King 30 seconds before closing time.
Yeah.
And you'd be okay ordering three Whoppers, two ice creams, and four milkshakes.
I mean, I'm not…
Well, yeah.
If it's necessary…
Would you be okay with that?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
If it's like…
Shit.
Yeah, I have to buy that, then, yeah.
Oh, shit.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
But now I know that, like, opinion.
So, yeah, it's like, I kind of hesitate.
It's like one minutes ago, and then…
Uh-huh.
I didn't order many things, but I can still.
But you can still…
Yeah, yeah.
Because it's open.
But, right.
Yeah, yeah.
See, like, if you think about it, you're right.
Like, it's open.
Yeah.
Like, the, the, the restaurants should give you full service.
Right, right.
No matter what, what time it is.
Yeah.
Even if it's near closing time.
Uh-huh.
Like, that's not up to the customers.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
If it's…
Like, the store should be responsible to give full, full service, right?
Right, right, right.
But, okay.
So, this is another thing that I'm kind of worried about.
Yeah.
If you order…
Uh-huh.
Near closing time, some of the fucked up employees…
Uh-huh.
will get mad.
Uh-huh.
And they will make the food in a lower quality.
Oh, really?
That happens sometimes.
Wow.
Like, I've seen it happen.
Wow.
Like, so there's this thing called a pre-close.
Okay.
Like, hour or two hour before closing time, you will start a pre-close.
Right?
Oh, yeah.
It's like, ah, that order is not gonna be…
Uh-huh.
You know, it's not gonna go through.
We're gonna order this…
Yeah.
during this time.
So, let's just close the system.
Just, you know, get ready so that we can go home early.
Right.
Right?
Wash them and…
Yeah, wash them and fully kind of get it ready for the next day.
Yeah.
It's done for today.
But, like, after the pre-close…
Yeah.
When a customer comes in and be like, oh, I want, I want that, I want, I wanna buy that.
Yeah.
And like, oh, fuck.
Everyone in the kitchen is like, oh, fuck.
That motherfucker right there?
That, that gray-hooded motherfucker just ordered a fucking…
Yeah.
A, a, a frappuccino with soy five minutes before closing time.
Yeah.
And we, we have to wash the machine again because of that motherfucker.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Right?
That's the vibe the kitchen's gonna be.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Right?
Get it.
Right?
There's like four or five people in the kitchen.
Yeah.
And everyone's like…
Yeah.
They, they, they have a common enemy now.
Right?
So, like, they feel less guilty if the quality of the food is a little bit lower.
Like, they would…
Wow.
If the manager's not looking, they would be like, ah, it's for that gray-hooded motherfucker.
Let's give it to him.
Right?
That could happen.
It's not supposed to.
Wow.
It's not supposed to.
And I'm sure most of the stores don't do that.
But, like, I think that it could happen.
Yeah, yeah.
As in human…
As in human…
Emotions.
Emotions.
Right?
Yeah.
It's like, that could, that could, right?
The lower quality food, we could receive that.
True.
True.
So, like, I don't want that to happen to my food.
So, like, I don't…
That's true.
Yeah.
That's another reason why I don't want it.
Yeah.
Protect yourself, kind of.
Protect myself, yeah.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
For sure.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Right.
But that's a very eye-opening moment to me.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And since then, I kind of think about that.
Oh, yeah.
When I, when I enter, like, five minutes or those.
Uh-huh.
Right.
Yeah.
But still.
Still.
Because it's open, so.
Still.
Because it's open, so.
Your, your mentality is still like.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
The store's open, so, like, give me first orders, right?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
But I remember, it's, ah,
Uh-huh.
Now, kind of, I understand why they do this.
Yes, yes, yes, yes.
Yeah.
Oh, I see, I see.
It's a pre-close or something like that.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah.
Right.
Yeah.
Right.
Interesting conversation.
Yeah, interesting, yeah.
Right.
Right.
Alright, thanks for listening, guys.
Thank you.
Bye.
