Welcome to Kevin's English Room Podcast.
So we did an episode where I talked about, uh, we talked about, uh, your
Yamachan's Billboard, uh, concert, uh, in Osaka, but, uh, the iPhone storage
was full and the, uh, recording stopped, unfortunately. So, um, just quickly,
just sort of, uh, you don't have to talk about the whole thing, but just,
just the key points that, uh, I want to talk to you about that again. So, uh,
so you said it was a great success. Congratulations. Thank you. It was great
show. Why was it? What was, what was great about it? What, why'd you think it
was, uh, what made you think it was such a success? Yeah. So, um, my
performance was the best so far. Um, I've been, you know, working hard and
practicing myself as a debutante, beginner. What was that? Beginner singer.
You don't say that? What is that? Oh, debutante. I guess that's a French
word. Oh, okay. I thought it was like, yeah, go ahead. What does that mean?
What does that mean? It's like a debut, new debut. Oh, okay. Yeah. I see.
It's like a beginner. Like a newcomer, like a rookie. Yeah. Newborn. Okay. I
see. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. As a debutante. Sure. Okay. Yeah. I got it
now. And finally it's like, kind of did it. Yes. Kind of satisfying with my,
my songs and singings and performance and everything. And yeah, that's what
makes it like, okay. Yes. Because like all the other times, maybe you weren't,
you weren't used to the, the, how the microphone sounded and you kind of got
lost and all that stuff. But finally, you sort of had a grasp of the show.
Right. The crowd's been already, like every time they were really good, really
making great atmosphere. So the show itself was really, every show was so
nice. But each times I had like this feeling of, oh, I, maybe I could, you
know, yeah. I want to be like a Bruno Mars. So, you know, a little, little
injured. Like I wasn't Bruno. I don't know. You think Bruno has that sort of
the same feeling where he's like on stage and he's like, oh, I don't know if
I did that properly. Like Michael Jackson. Yeah. But to me, like finally,
well, I'm not saying I could, I'm like same level as Bruno Mars. But you can,
you can. I was like, this was my, today's best. Like, yes. Yeah. Yeah.
Yeah. You're the closest to Bruno Mars yet. Right. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, yes.
Right. Compared to myself. Yeah. Compared to all the, your, your past
experience. Right. Right. Right. Yeah. Still far, far away, but yeah.
What was also interesting was the, the, how the seat was aligned. The stage in
uh, uh, Osaka was more closer to the audience. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I would say
stage is more like in front. So in this, I had like this angle. You have like an
almost 180 view of the audience, right? A little more than 180. A little more
like surrounded by people. And that made me more comfortable to sing, perform
with. Right. And I could see the people's face clearly. Many of the live
houses, it's big and everybody's standing. Yeah. Sometimes I cannot see
clearly the faces in some parts, but in billboard, I could see everybody's face
almost clearly. So that, that made me more comfortable. Like I could sing to
you kind of, it's more like conversation like this. Isn't it tough to see their
reactions? That's what gets me. So when I hear that, that gets me nervous. Like
having people surrounded, having to see people's facial expressions, like
directly, it, that, that gets me nervous because like you have a direct response
オーディエンスとの対話
of what's going on on stage. It's like, I don't want to, I don't want to look at
it. Like, that's kind of like scary. I don't like that might affect how I do on
stage. Yeah. Yeah. Doesn't that get you? Yeah. I understand the feeling. Yeah.
But, um, yeah. So first of all, they were a really good audience, really good
people. So they seemed to really enjoy it. And, um, yeah. Even if like some
people looked like this, like clapping or like this and that, that make, that
makes me like, oh, I don't know, that guy. Okay. Okay. Yeah. So I compared to
like darkness, I can not see the faces and singing, performing towards the, the
mystery place where I can not see the reactions, even if it's good or bad, it's
better for me to see the reactions. And if they don't, if, if they seem, if they
seem not like enjoying, then I feel like, oh, I have to change something. And I
changed a little the way maybe talk or like, so that, you know, it's like a
conversation, you know? Okay. So it's, yeah, to me, it's, um, I can have like many
hints to make it fun. Kind of. So you're kind of like improvising at the same
time. Yeah. Yeah. I think so. Wow. Well, it's, it's not something that
improvising. Well, I mean, I, to me, that's improvising on stage. That's
fucking, I can't do that. Yeah. But it's more easier. For you, it's, it makes sense
and more, it goes in you easier. Were the people or the vibe of the audience
different than Yokohama versus Osaka?
That much differences. Okay. Yeah. They both have like high energy. At the
beginning, they were like, we're in a billboard. Okay. But, you know, towards
the end, they were like more relaxed. Okay. Yeah. What kind of, what kind of
food do they serve there? So, um, well, imagine fancy Italian restaurant. Oh, so
it's Italian. Um, I'm not sure they're saying it's an Italian restaurant. Okay.
It's like that. You got pizza, pasta, pasta. Yeah. I see. Steaks. Steaks. Oh,
okay. Well, you got even like fried rice things. Okay. You got hamburgers,
French fries. So, all right. I don't know how to get the picture. Yeah. It's,
it's like, how should I explain, explain that? It's like, it's not Italian,
Italian traditional restaurant, but you got, it's like a diner combined with
Italian. Okay. Yeah. Okay. Makes sense. I get it. I get the picture. Yeah. Okay.
They've got karaage things, like kind of fish and chips. If they don't want to
go so much into the dining and yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And, uh, it talked to me
about the video, like, will people be able to see the video or not? So you
have it on record. You have it, you have it on. Oh, right. You don't have the
Osaka one. You do not have it on video. No, no. Unfortunately. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Right. Because, uh, yeah. Yeah. We record recording camera crew was in
Yokohama and we brought them in Yokohama stage. So, um, but you know, I'm not
saying like Osaka show was the better show than Yokohama's it's, it's both
different and both special. Yeah. And, um, true in Yokohama, I was little at
the beginning. I was nervous. Yeah. Shaking a little bit. Um, but including
that, yeah, that was like part of the show. Perfect show. Yeah. Part of the
one and only show. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So I'm happy that I, that we could pack
that. And, uh, yeah, that's a part of my journey. So yeah. Yeah. Right. Yeah.
Right. Right. Right. But yeah, honestly, the venue, the place was really nice.
Really? I really love performing in that place. Yeah. It's different vibe.

People were relaxed, you know? Right. Um, yeah. Right. Yeah. Well, what was
another amazing thing was that you said, uh, the, the, the people of the staff
of the, um, the Osaka billboard said that your show had the most food orderings,
right? Food and drink orderings. And that's, that's crazy, right? I mean,
that's great. Right. Like, honestly, um, it's a win-win. Yeah. Yeah. I'm really
happy that, um, people enjoy the night, foods, drinks. So they prepared my drink.
Oh shit. Like your name on the cocktail shit. Oh shit. Tonight's artists cocktail.
Oh, wow. I told them that I love coffee. So they, they made a coffee for the night
and then, yeah, they ordered. So I hope they enjoy it. You know, nice, including
foods and drinks. And wow. Yeah. And so that's, that's so cool. That's so cool.
It's so cool. So happy. Non-alcoholic? Both. Both. They've got alcohol. I tried
no alcohol. Okay. Obviously. Yeah. Cause that was in the show. Yeah. I didn't
want to be drunk. Right. Yeah. Any next step you have in mind? Um, well, I hope
we can do this next time. The Billboard tour. Yeah. Including Tokyo. Hopefully
Tokyo, right? Yeah. We have a venue in Roppongi. Yeah. Okay. Hope we can do
like three cities tour. That would be amazing. What about like outside of
Billboard? Um, anything, uh, anything in sight? Um, we're planning, um, to go like
do some kind of zenkoku tour thing. Oh, here we go. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Going
some cities around the major cities. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That's we're
planning and it's almost planned. It's almost planned out. Yes. Yes. Yes. In this
autumn winter season. Oh shit. Okay. Things are moving fast. Yes. Yes. Yes.
It's, it's wow. Moving fast. Do you have to make new songs for that? Do you have
to make new songs for that? Um, yeah, I, I mean, yeah, you it's yeah, I'm going
to make some songs. Okay. Yeah. Does that, does that ever like, like catch you
like, Oh wait, there's a event coming up, I have to make a new song. Or does that,
it's sort of more like the opposite where like, yeah, you're always constantly have
like a desire of making another song and you're like, okay. So it's like pretty
much both. Okay. Yeah. Every day, like including my water repellent or like
little, yeah. I, I, I pad, you know, everything going on and I want to make
it constantly, but it's true. You have like a tour or like concert and then it's
like one project. Oh, okay. So it's like, I'm making song for this billboard live.
So making song for the tour. Yeah. I see. So this billboard, we've got to not only
drummers, but we had a percussion guy. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. I wanted to make songs
that percussions got like featured kind of. Oh, that's how you make your song.
Yeah. So that's fine. I see. Oh, by the way, my iPad. Yeah. Um, I'm using the
iPad that, uh, the heart replaced iPad. Oh, I'm still using it. You're still
using, I'm still using the, yeah. Oh, it's like you're, you get back. I got
back. I got back with my ex. Oh, yeah. And, uh, she's, uh, she has life support
right now. Okay. She's always connected to a lightning cable. Okay. So she sits on
my desk. Okay. I don't carry her around anymore. We can't go on dates. You have
to, I have to plug her always to a, to a, because right. I can't trust her battery
life anymore. Like it's always going to say 100%. That's fake love. Right. So I
have to make sure that, uh, for her, I have to make sure that she doesn't die.
Yeah. I always put her on life support. Right. Right. Right. To get that lightning
cable. Yeah. Right. So do you, so she's always in a desk attached with the cable,
right? Yes. Do you go outside? I do not go outside with her. Yeah. I sometimes go
to the bathroom with her though. Okay. You keep her inside. I keep her inside.
You, you build your house with the house on the pad. Yeah. And then sometimes you
go outside of the house using maybe different iPad. I, I, so yeah, when I had
the newer iPad, yes I did, but I sold that iPad. Oh, you sold that? I sold that
iPad. So I don't have an iPad anymore. Oh yeah. But I have her, that's it. Oh, I've
come to realize that I don't need another iPad. Yeah. Wow. So that's a song
worth. Is that a song worth? Yeah. Yeah. It's, uh, it's, it's, it's drama. It's,
uh, it's, um, we've had ups and downs and, uh, right. But we're, right now we're
connected. Yeah. I mean, I'm going to do that. I'm going to make that song. That's
exciting. Yeah. That is exciting. I, I honestly, I performed water repellent in
大阪のパフォーマンス
Billboard. Oh shit. Yeah. In Osaka, as I told you, I changed a little setlist for
Osaka's and did a hikigatari encore. And I did a hikigatari version of water
repellent in Osaka. Oh shit. Yeah. And I mean, I'm, I'm loving that song. That's
great. Some of the audience was like crying. Oh shit. Yeah. I, okay. Do they
know the background of the song? I'm not sure. Okay. Well, I mean, yeah, that's
great. That's great, man. Thanks to you. Yeah. Well, I mean, no, it's, it's your
song. You made the song. It's just an idea. Yeah. Wow. All right. Well, hopefully
then the iPad song would turn it, would touch other people. That would be great.
It's great. Yeah. Yeah. She's doing healthy with the light support. Yeah.
With the lighting, she's very healthy. Okay. Okay. Okay. All right. So, all right. Thanks
listening guys. Thank you. Bye bye.
