Welcome to Kevin's English Room Podcast.
Hello.
Hey guys.
How's it going guys?
Yeah.
It's a hot day.
It's really hot today.
Yeah.
It is very hot.
Should walk from the station.
Yeah.
Yeah.
But it feels, as you said before, it feels
shorter the time, I mean, the time duration fromthe station.
Oh, like from last time?
Yeah.
Because it's your second time, you're used to thecourse.
It feels shorter.
So it's weird how human brain works.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Right.
Still, it was very, very hot.
Yeah.
Very, very hot.
Are you using the umbrella yet or no?
Oh, not yet.
Oh, come on, man.
You got to get the umbrella, man.
You're going to die out there.
You really got to die out there, man.
I was just trying to find the shades.
Yeah.
For the whole time in the street.
They're walking the sideways too, you know.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
That's good.
That's good.
But you know, some roads, you can't find them, right?
I just completely forgot about the umbrella.
But you have it though, right?
You have it though.
Oh, man, you got to use it, man.
I'm not sure if it's in the bag or not, but I'mnot sure.
It didn't even come across your mind.
OK.
It's just, oh, man.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah, man.
Today is like the best day.
Yeah, honestly.
To use the umbrella.
Yeah.
Best day for the debut.
Right.
Right.
That's right.
That's right.
Yeah.
Try to use them on your way back.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Honestly, if I...
If you have it in the bag, right?
You got those light ones, right?
Lightweight umbrellas?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
It's very thin, like small like this.
Very lightweight.
OK, OK.
Easy to carry.
Right, right, right, right.
For the case like this.
That's right.
We're getting a lot of like, you know, squall too, right?
So like, that helps too.
I think most umbrellas nowadays, the sunumbrellas,
they're both like Ame-san Kenyo.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
And that helps so much for unexpected rain.
Yeah.
The one I got is also the Hale-Ame Kenyo.
OK, OK.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It's better.
Right.
I carry that all the time.
Right.
Absolutely.
For the sunny day like this or like squall likethat.
For everything.
I think I agree, man.
I agree.
Yeah, I have to.
One thing about...
So I also bought like a really lightweight, thin,
like easy to carry sunlight for my first Higasa.
But like the thing that I didn't like about it
was that it was so weak against wind.
It flips back.
Like every time like a mild wind comes by,
which was kind of annoying.
So yeah, I bought a second one,
which is a lot more, you know, tougher against thewind.
You mean like a big one?
They're not necessarily big, I would say.
And not necessarily too much heavier.
It's just structured in a way that makes itstronger against the wind.
03:03
And yeah, it's a little bit expensive.
OK.
It says like that?
Right.
So it says windproof.
Oh, windproof.
Windproof, that's right.
Yeah.
I don't know. Yours might already be like that.
I don't know.
Yeah, I don't know.
But it's very light.
It's very small.
It looks pretty, I don't know, fragile againstwind.
Yeah, those tend to be a little bit weaker againstthe wind.
Yeah.
Well, I don't know.
Depends on how much you use it too, right?
Right.
It's the one from the outdoor brand.
Like camping gear things.
Oh, OK.
I'm not sure if that's like the authentic campinggear
or just to use things.
I think, you know, when it comes to those likeoutdoor brands,
it tends to be sturdier.
It tends to be a lot like stronger than like theaverage brand.
So it might be good.
It might be good.
Yeah.
OK.
It's strong enough.
Yeah.
Strong enough.
Right.
Right.
Man.
You came here by bike, right?
Right.
How do you deal with those sunlight?
You know, I can't.
I don't think there's a way.
You don't have like a little, like a, I don'tknow,
clipping thing.
Like an add-on?
Yeah.
And you just put it on the compressor.
I mean, I don't think there's, I don't think,
I've never seen that item.
Oh, really?
Have you?
Yeah.
Is it out there?
Yeah.
Oh, really?
I've seen some, yeah, some people does that.
Oh, really?
Yeah.
Is it for rain or is it for sun or maybe eitherone?
I don't know.
But it's a bit rare.
Yeah.
And people are kind of like, well, it's years ago.
Okay.
People are kind of like mocking to those people.
Like, no, what is it?
Like, what the fuck are you trying to do?
Okay.
Okay.
But yeah, I don't know if that exists today ornot.
The thing about umbrella is that I want to angleit
like all the time.
You know how the sun could be over there
and you don't want your umbrella to be like righthere.
And so it's not doing anything, right?
You want to like actually shade yourself.
So like being able to angle it is important.
So like, I don't know if that's going to work
with the bicycle thing.
And it's dangerous.
It is dangerous.
If you angle like this and you can't see.
Right, it is dangerous.
That's true.
You don't, what can you do?
So there's just, you can, there's like a UV.
Yeah.
Like UV hoodie or something.
Like a really thin, like paka-ish kind of thing.
Yeah.
You know how like Obachans sometimes wear it?
Yeah.
And that like, you have this little like glovesthing
that goes up to here.
Yes, yes.
Yeah, that, you can do that
if you're really into UV care.
I'm not there yet though.
Okay.
Yeah.
What about like the cap that, you know, the sunvisor?
06:03
Ah, okay.
Yeah, sun visors, that's a very big projection aswell.
Yeah, that's a big one.
That's, that's, that's, that's a possibility.
That's a possibility.
I should try that, shouldn't I?
Yeah.
I think it's very good in a functional way.
Yeah.
Not the very, the most fashionable item, I wouldsay.
Yeah.
Well, what do you think about windproof?
Like, you know how caps, when you wear a cap
and you're, when the wind's strong,
it's like, ah, it blows back.
That's right.
Sun visors, right?
I don't have an image of sun visors being verystable.
Right.
Yeah.
Doesn't that have like a little magomu?
Oh, really?
They have a magomu?
No.
Okay.
If they have a magomu, that's, it's better.
Yeah.
It's not going to blow off, blow away.
But, yeah.
True.
It's difficult to block the sunlight.
Yeah.
I think recently, you know, the parka that I said,
they wear long sleeves up.
And it's like, I think some of the like outdoorbrands
started releasing those, those like UV
hoodies for younger generations.
Good.
For men as well.
I did look into that a little bit, actually.
Okay.
Yeah.
How different is that?
It's just the color.
It's just, you know, the shape, how it fits onyour body.
It's just a little bit more, I guess, modern.
I see.
Yeah.
Not the one with like a frilly, frilly.
No.
Oh, no.
It's just more simple.
It's much more, you know, men, men-like.
Yeah.
I think it was by Snowpeak or something.
Yeah.
Okay.
Pretty decent brand, right?
Yeah.
Yeah.
I did think about getting that once.
Nice.
Yeah.
Isn't it hot if you wear like a...
So what they say is it's actually a little bitcooler.
Oh, very functional.
Yeah.
Because you're not hitting the sunlight directly.
Oh, I see.
Yeah.
And it's, the fabric's very breathable as well.
Yeah.
So it doesn't, it doesn't keep all the hot airinside you.
It just releases.
It sounds like it's very, it's worth a try.
Worth a try, right?
Yeah.
Worth a try.
Nice.
Not nice.
Right, right.
If it's like cooler, I would try that.
You'd be interested as well?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Right.
So check out on that.
Yeah.
Snowpeak, right?
Snowpeak.
Yeah, I think it was Snowpeak.
Yeah.
All right.
Thanks for listening, guys.
Thank you.
Bye.
