バッグの洗い方と注意点
Welcome to ケビン's English Room Podcast.
Hello.
Hello.
Oh, I know you love backpacks.
And I have a question about backpacks, if you may know.
How do you wash them?
How do you wash a backpack?
Yeah, I mean, especially in the summer time when I have backpacks,
especially this band, when you sweat a lot,
it's like this, I don't know how to call those two bands,
it gets like, it's kind of soaked of my sweat.
And I want to wash the whole backpack.
Okay.
But the only way I know is just you, I don't know, shower it or put it in the water and dries it.
That's the only way I know.
Okay.
So the first question is, do you know any other way or any better way to do that?
And the second one is, is it good for your backpack?
Like, especially you have like little, it's not everything is just fabric.
You have, you know, like spongy or like you got like different things.
Yeah.
And I'm not sure if that's good for those materials to just put in the water and just...
Right.
But I want to wash them.
Yeah.
So they're called shoulder straps.
Okay, shoulder straps.
Yeah.
Right.
That's a big part of...
Okay.
A big difficulty.
Okay, okay, okay.
Right there.
You don't usually want to wash them.
Okay.
Right?
As it'll wear off the fabric or maybe the color would, you know, fade into other clothes.
Or, you know, these cushions, right?
It might not be good.
Yeah.
You don't want to soak them underwater maybe.
So you really should look at the website.
But usually a lot of website what they'll say is maybe get like a cloth and just wipe it is what they'll say.
But that's probably not enough, right?
Yeah.
And I think so too.
So there's no official way.
Okay.
To sort of like really do a deep clean.
Okay.
But we can do a quick search on it.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah.
How do you do with your backpack?
Do you just wash it?
Yeah.
What I do is I just soak only the shoulder straps.
I see.
And then just sort of like squeeze it.
Okay.
Not the like back.
I don't go for the actual backpack, you know.
The back surface like this.
You know the place you can touch the back and you don't do that?
I can't do it.
Okay.
Yeah.
Because it's better for your backpack?
Yeah.
Yeah.
For the fabrics and materials and everything?
Yeah.
Okay.
Yeah.
But I understand how...
カバンの洗い方
I want to clean it.
I understand that you'd rather clean it.
Yeah.
I understand that.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
True.
The shoulder straps are just relatively kind of just usual fabrics.
So seems like there's no problem.
Yeah.
That much if you even soak into the water.
Right.
Right.
Okay.
So you can actually clean your backpack.
First, empty and prep.
Remove all items from the backpack.
Yeah.
Brush off any loose dirt and debris.
Okay.
Read the care label.
Consult the care label for any specific instructions or warning.
Spot treat stains.
Address any stains.
Then wash.
Gently wash the backpack in a basin or tub of lukewarm water with a mild soap or detergent.
Okay.
Rinse and dry.
Okay.
Yeah.
I mean, I was kind of expecting that.
Yeah.
You have a body of water.
You dip it in there.
Yeah.
You sort of like gently sort of rub it or like, you know, get the dirt off.
Yeah.
You dry it.
Okay.
So I guess that's the only way?
Yeah.
I see.
You don't want to put it in your washing machine.
It's just...
Nah.
That's going to be too dangerous.
Yeah.
Right?
You know futon kanzokis?
Those big ones?
I wonder what would happen if I put it in there.
True.
That's funny.
Maybe it'll shrink it.
That's not good.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I'm worrying about...
What I'm worrying about is the materials inside.
The cushions and I don't know what's inside, but like some kind of rubber materials or anything
like that.
But I guess, for example, like a sponge or maybe a cotton or like rubber.
All of that, if you hand wash it, it's all good, right?
So maybe it's okay.
You just have to really get the detergent out of the backpack.
You know, you really got to do a thorough rinsing to make sure that all the detergent
is gone.
True.
Right?
True.
It's going to leave more dirt if you leave it in there.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I see.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
Because my backpack has like a huge chunk of sponge or like, I don't know, like soft something
here.
Okay.
And you feel like it's soaking up all the sweat?
Yeah.
Oh.
From the beginning, it's like a little kind of gel.
You know, it's like a little bit.
Yeah.
And I'm not sure if I can put inside the water.
Usually those are fine though.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
Yeah.
But must be something on that.
It's like silicone.
Yeah.
Things like that.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
True.
Oh, okay.
So I have to read the care tag.
Yeah.
There's a care.
Yeah.
There's a tag, I guess.
I didn't know that too.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I see.
I see.
Just like the usual clothes?
Yeah.
I guess so.
I guess so.
I can't imagine putting that in a Kansouki though.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Okay.
Okay.

Do you have a go-to backpack that you use every day?
Yeah.
Every day?
Yeah.
What does it look like?
Which one is that?
Is that North Face?
I guess that was Monbel.
Oh, okay.
Yeah.
Something North Face or Monbel or something like that.
What do you like about it?
It's...
I love the...
Well, I'm not actually 100% satisfied with that.
Okay.
Because it's a little bit heavy.
Okay.
Heavier than the usual ones.
Yeah.
But I love the...
The back padding?
Okay.
It's like a spongy...
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Got it.
Doesn't that make you sweat more if it's spongier?
Because it's like...
I guess so.
密着?
It's for...
Yeah.
It's for...
It can be.
Okay.
Yeah.
So I feel like I sweat a lot.
Okay.
But you like how it's comfortable on your body?
Yeah.
Even I put like pieces in, it's kind of stable.
Got it.
And I don't feel that heaviness.
I see.
I guess the weight is distributed from your shoulders to your back, I guess.
Because it's like 密着?
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
And yeah, I love the inside too.
It's bright yellow.
Oh, okay.
It's easy to see inside.
Yes, yes, yes.
Even in the nighttime, you can open it.
You can kind of see inside.
Right, right.
And we got many pockets.
So I...
Yeah, I like it.
You like it?
I like it.
But the problem is like how to...
Like I carry that like every day.
But like how to...
How can I wash this?
Yeah.
Yeah.
It feels like it's...
It's...
Yeah.
You know those machine, I think it was LG or Samsung or some Korean company.
Okay.
That has like this...
It looks like a refrigerator, but it's actually...
There's a hanger inside.
Oh.
And what it does, it just sort of like...
カバンの洗い方
It swings the hanger.
Yeah.
There's one single hanger inside.
And it swings the whole fucking...
It's supposed to...
It's meant for suits and shit like that.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Something you can't put it in your washing machine.
I saw the image, yeah.
Right.
And then it gives out...
It gives off this fucking like blue light or something.
And it like...
It cleans it.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Without using water.
That's nice.
If you could use that for the backpack, it'll be great, you know?
For real.
Yeah.
For real.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
All right.
Yeah.
Thanks for listening, guys.
Thank you.
Bye.
