Hello podcast listeners! How you guys doing? This is Kevin here. I am connected with Yamachan through Zoom meeting.
Yeah.
Yamachan, how you doing over there?
Yeah, great.
Thank you. Thank you for joining me in such short notice.
Well, it's always fun to talk with you. I know you got the new chair, right?
Can you notice? Yeah, I'm on this office chair. Yeah. But the ugly, look at this ugliness of the design here. So ugly. I don't like it.
What's that? I don't know. It's like a, I don't know. It's like a, got this weird design. I don't know what it is, but.
Yeah, it's a, it's kind of spider or something.
Oh, watch this. This is my Dendo Shoko desk.
Yeah, come on.
Look at that! Look how high it goes man!
Oh, is that that high?
This is as high as it'll go.
Wow, that's really high. That's quite high.
Very high.
Very high.
Yeah.
Okay. So, so the reason why, the reason why I called you on this call is because we have an announcement to make.
Oh, that you finally out from your, your tiny Oshiri space. Yeah.
Yeah, this was the Oshiri.
Yeah.
I'm out.
Yeah, that's the announcement.
Yep. I'm out of the Oshiri.
Yeah, that's right.
Okay, so the announcement we have.
Kevin's English Room Podcast, we're doing a public recording!
Yay!
So, you guys, the listeners, podcast listeners, you guys will be able to come to a certain place and you can watch us record podcasts.
Yeah. Yeah. Wow. Right.
Um, the reason why this happened was, we're doing this exclusive content with Amazon, Kevin's English Room Podcast Plus.
And then Amazon was like, okay, hey guys, since you were doing this thing with us, how about we do an event where you can, you know, have the fans and the listeners interact with you and like have fun.
How about we do a public recording? And then we were like, okay, that's cool. Let's do that.
And then we just went going and then we're like, we're here now announcing the event.
So, um, when is it gonna be? It's gonna be October 29th.
Okay.
October 29th.
Okay.
Right.
And the place is gonna be Meguro.
03:03
Meguro. The Amazon Honsha.
Okay.
Yeah, Amazon Honsha Meguro.
Yeah, it's actually quite near from the Meguro station.
Right. It is. It is.
Um, on the way there, if you use JR, you'll get to, um, you'll understand which crossroad where I got noticed, but Yawan-chan didn't get noticed.
Yeah, that one.
You'll be able to come across that crosswalk. There's only gonna be one crosswalk and that's it.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Okay. And, um, so it's gonna be right. Amazon Honsha and Meguro.
And it's gonna be a Chusen.
Hyakunin Gentei Chusen.
Okay.
And, uh, how to Obo is, um, check out, um, our jimusho PPP Studio. PPP Studios Twitter.
If you check that out, they'll release all the link to Obo and everything.
So, that.
Yeah.
And, uh, another thing.
Yeah.
T-shirt giveaways.
Wow.
Giveaways. So, so, um, we're gonna, so Amazon got designed this t-shirt for us for the event. Right?
Right.
So, um, the final design is you haven't, you don't know the final design yet. Right?
No, I haven't seen that.
Yeah, it's going to be like a t-shirt with like a logo on the mune.
Yeah.
And, uh, that's it. That's like a really clean, simple.
Okay.
Logo. Like a simple thing.
Right?
All that.
I love those simple, you know, things.
Right. Me too.
And, um, this isn't finalized yet, but right now we're thinking about for the 100 people that, uh, were able to, um, it's going to be Chusen.
The Hyakunin is going to be Chusen and those people that won the Chusen, um, will receive a signed t-shirt from me and Yamachan.
Wow.
We're going to sign 100 t-shirts. I'm going to give it to them.
Wow. Okay.
Yeah. This might be too much work and this might be possible, but that's our current plan.
Okay. Great.
And, uh, we will be giving out the same t-shirts without the sign for some of the people that did not win the Chusen.
Right. So be on the lookout for that if you obo.
Okay.
Uh, I hope I got everything.
Okay. Great.
Uh, did I miss anything? No?
Perfect. I guess.
Okay.
Um, if there's, if there's going to be any updates, which I'm sure there will be, um, all the latest accurate information is going to be on PvP Stugio's Twitter.
06:12
So check that out.
Just check that out and then you will have the, the, the latest information.
Okay.
All right.
So what will be the, um, the main content of that day?
Yeah. We're just going to do our normal podcasting.
Yeah. Right.
That's all it's not something like live show things.
No, we're not gonna, we're not going to do any shows.
Yeah.
Have any contents ready for that day?
Just our doing our own shit.
Yeah.
And people are going to be in front of us.
Right. Yeah.
That's okay.
Right.
Okay. Maybe some questions and you know,
Right. Some live interaction might be there.
Call you guys out somehow, but, uh, there aren't going to be any of those big like show.
Yeah.
Very cool.
We'll be really fun.
That will be, that will be, I mean, we've never done like these things with podcasting.
Well, it'll be great.
It'll be a great opportunity.
True.
All right.
Sorry.
Sorry. No, I just hope there will be more than 100 people.
I mean, it's free.
So, you know, it's free.
It's free. It is free.
Okay.
So, I mean, I guess it's easy to oval, you know, the hurdles, I guess lower, you know, you just got to come to Tokyo.
Right. That's, that's it.
Right.
All right. So I hope you guys will enjoy this new adventure that we're going to do.
Right.
And thank you Yamachan for joining me.
11, 1130 at night.
Yeah.
Thank you.
All right.
Not at all. Nothing at all.
Thank you.
That's good. That's good.
All right. So thank you podcast listeners.
And now onto our original program.
Bye bye.
All right.
Welcome to Gavin's English Room Podcast.
Hello.
Hi.
Hi.
It's been two weeks.
Yeah.
Since we last done a recording.
Yeah.
How are you?
I'm doing great.
You did your live.
Yeah.
How did you know that?
Two days ago yesterday.
Yesterday.
It was yesterday.
It was all over our friends' stories and everything.
And I, right.
Really great.
Yeah.
How was that?
That was amazing.
Yeah.
Like it was much more exciting than I have thought actually.
That's good.
So fun.
It was so like, it was so fun.
Yeah.
It was so fun.
How many songs did you perform?
09:00
We were like the group, you know.
Right.
We did about 10 songs and like the five songs was, you know, were the original songs that
we made and the other five was just covering, you know, some famous songs like If I Got You
or Hatamoto Hirose's song.
You know, everything like that.
Right, right, right, right.
Yeah.
See, it was my first time performing in front of people playing piano or guitars and singing
at the same time with, you know, friends in front of people in a, in a like a real live
show.
So excited.
Oh, okay.
So exciting.
And were you nervous?
No, actually.
Uh huh.
Yeah.
But more like it was fun.
That's really good.
I was kind of surprised that I didn't, you know, I wasn't nervous because mostly I, every
time I, you know, get on the stage, I, you know, always be nervous.
But right.
Yeah.
I guess you were confident.
See, you practice a lot of course.
Yeah.
Practice a lot.
So I wasn't that confident about my, you know, all the skills or in a place.
Okay.
But I guess it was simply really fun, I guess.
That's great.
Yeah, yeah.
It's really good.
We, it was the daytime show.
So it was started, it started like from 12.
Okay.
At noon and ends at four.
I mean, sorry, two.
And after that, we, we were like so excited and carried all the, you know, huge, you know,
guitars and pianos and all together.
And back to the, you know, one's, Naruchan's house and go outside and there's a little
park out there.
Okay.
Naruchan's house and we had a, you know, uchiage together.
Oh shit.
It was so, it was so fun.
That sounds really exciting.
Yeah.
See, yesterday was really sunny, bright day like today.
So it was so nice to be outside chatting things and it was really like the, you know, the
session moment.
Nice.
It was really good.
Like getting together with your gang.
Yeah.
You know, accomplishing something.
Yeah.
And yeah.
It was quite a big thing to, you know, us.
Yeah, it must have.
Yeah.
It was a music group, right?
Yeah.
Ludens, right?
Yeah.
Ludens.
L U D E N C E.
Yes.
That's the correct spell.
The?
Well, Ludens.
Yeah.
That Ludens, but you can call us just Ludens.
12:01
Oh, okay.
We're not that Ludens, you know.
Just, just, just, yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It was so fun.
There were so many people who, you know, came to see our stage.
Yeah.
About, about like 90.
Mm-hmm.
Part.
You know, the live house.
Wow.
So you guys reserved your own place, right?
You guys searched for the...
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah.
Live house.
Live house.
Yeah, of course, because we're not like the professionals like having a gym show or supporting
teams.
No, we're just doing all things together.
You paid for the fee for the kaijo.
Yeah.
And then you, that was...
Yeah.
Right?
And then you sold merchandise.
Yeah.
I heard from Nari-chan.
Yeah, yeah.
You sold merchandise.
And I, and I also heard about the warehouse problem of like...
Yeah.
Last minute cancellation of like, not cancellation, but like the make, the, the factory was...
Yeah.
I, well, tell me about that.
Yeah, we didn't know that.
So, yeah, it was quite an adventure to us.
From the beginning through, we searched on all the website for the live, you know, Hakko.
Every, every live Hakko, and we, we call them, we mail them that we are Ludens to moshimashite
hajimete no live de dono kono things.
And finally get the one Hakko.
And we paid, you know, big amount for them.
Okay.
From the first.
Oh, we got to have to sell the ticket.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And then as you say, we try to, you know, sell the merchandise things like the t-shirt
and little towel for, you know, shaking in that, together in the live house.
So we try to do that, but we didn't know at all and, you know, expected nothing, but,
but the, the, the printer company, like the company we, we, we already paid.
It was like a suddenly mailed to us and then we are so sorry, but we are rebuilding the,
the print factory now.
So we have to, you know, you have to wait for like about a month for delivering.
And the live is going to, was going to be coming like two weeks ago.
And what?
And they're already like, you know, 100 orders came already.
And yeah, Naru-chan was so panicked and he was like,
was he in charge of the merchandise?
Yeah.
Okay.
He was in charge of, actually he's the leader of that.
Oh, I see.
I see.
He, you know, was in charge, mainly the charge of all the merchandises.
He designed things and he ordered things together by himself.
15:00
And yeah, he was like, oh my God, guys, I just got this mail.
And it was his first time, you know, doing those things like selling merchandise, real products.
I see. I see.
He was in the like Jinzai company before.
I see.
And now he's consultant company.
I see.
So he's never.
Like a physical product.
Physical product.
And he was like in so panic.
Wait, what's that?
And he called me and he was like,
Something bad happened.
I might not be able to do this anymore.
He was like,
I can't live without debt.
Yeah.
Wait, it's okay.
It's okay.
And we had a meeting in the midnight.
Like he was like,
This is bad.
Let me explain the situation first.
Okay.
Okay.
It's okay.
We changed, you know, the factory.
We searched, right, searched on the online and find the company where they can print like in two days, three days.
And we found the one.
Yeah.
So it's okay.
We found the one.
Yeah.
We changed everything into the new, you know, service.
And but the problem was that our site was made on base.
Okay.
And the base site was connected to that factory already.
So every new order.
Yeah.
Like every order I see.
Yeah.
Like manually transfer everything.
So what I have to do was manually order.
Order like 100 order.
I see.
Into the new service.
Like the size and everything.
Yeah.
Address.
Everything in it.
Okay.
Okay.
Pay for that in advance.
I see.
Yeah.
So that's what I did.
And Naro-chan was,
Okay, I'll do that.
Okay.
And order like 100 order.
And that's the story basically.
And all the products were delivered like two days before the live show.
But you made it though.
We made it.
That's good.
That's good.
And you were successfully able to hand the,
the merchandise to whoever bought them.
Yeah.
Success.
Successfully.
That's a success story.
Yeah.
It was, but it was really close to, you know, the death, you know.
Yeah.
Especially Naro-chan.
Yeah.
Yeah.
But including all these things, it was really fun, you know.
Yeah.
I mean that, I would say that would be one of the most fun parts.
Yeah.
Yeah.
About doing things, you know, gang.
Yeah.
Overcoming the troubles and everything.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And another thing was, as we don't have anybody who can like manager-san or like people who
18:04
connect us with, you know, Live House.
So it was also Naro-chan who was in charge of, you know, the messaging.
Communicating.
Communicating.
Yeah.
And as we, it was the first time for us to do those live things.
We didn't know nothing about rehearsal, like kizai settings.
I see.
Or all the, you know, seat settings.
Like, like kajaku seki no settings.
Ah, I see.
Or like live haishin things or like shoumei things.
So many things.
We didn't know about, we have no idea.
And Live House, you know, people was kind of, I guess, a bit, you know, worried about us.
Oh, okay.
It's our event, but we didn't know about nothing.
And Naro-chan was so, you know, in tough situation communicating with that person in charge of
hako, Live House, and successfully made that until the two days before the live.
Because the Live House person suddenly told us that he got corona.
Oh, shit.
He can't be do his job on the spot on the day.
I see.
So suddenly the person in charge changed into a stranger.
Whoever, right?
Yeah.
And Naro-chan was like in panic again and the person in charge suddenly changed.
The end of the world came again.
Yeah.
And so he has to, you know, he had to settle everything up again.
Really?
Yeah.
To make sure, you know, things went smoothly.
Well, didn't they do like a hikitsugi or something like that?
Yeah, that's what they should do, but...
But they didn't?
They probably did, but not enough.
Yeah, yeah.
So we were kind of worried about that.
Wow.
So, so yesterday morning we rushed into the hako and...
Yesterday morning?
Yeah.
Oh, okay.
Like the day of the live.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
And, you know, see the sign and how the things are going on and...
Yeah.
Then Naro-chan's brother came to help us.
Oh, really?
To set the, you know, the...
Torena?
Yeah, Torena.
Torena Onishan, right?
Yeah, bring the kizai things.
Wait, so you guys rented the kizai and the shoumei and everything?
Or was it in the house?
The shoumeis and the huge kizais were in the house.
Got it.
So you guys rented it from the hako.
Yeah, yeah.
I see.
So we brought only, you know, gaki.
Gaki.
The chair was already there.
Yeah.
But you have to, you know...
Set it up.
Set it up.
The way you want it to.
Yeah.
I see.
It was like a shiteiseki style.
So we got a put little...
Like a bangoseki.
Biseki.
I see.
And then we got this, you know, stick-on...
Really?
That's Naruchan's brother did that.
21:00
Oh, okay.
Oh.
It was all like handmade.
Uh-huh.
Yeah, thing.
I feel like that's really fun.
Yeah, you love those things, right?
Yeah, I love those things.
I love, you know, building it from scratch.
Not being able to talk to the professionals.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Oh, not...
What's that?
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, it was so fun.
What's that?
Yeah.
So you guys learned a lot from this time, right?
Yeah.
So we're sure for the next time we can...
Yeah.
Much more smooth, yeah.
Like you're more under control than the next one.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Like you guys know what's coming and everything.
Yeah.
That's cool.
Yeah, but we are sure.
So we're going to try to do it again.
Yeah.
Cool.
Yeah, but we are sure that in the next time there would be another huge mistake.
Yeah, I mean, there's always going to be some sort of trouble, right?
Someone's going to be late.
Yeah.
Huge thing.
Yeah, right?
Yeah.
I forgot my drum.
I forgot my guitar, right?
Something like that.
Yeah.
See, my guitar was broken.
Really?
We didn't know that.
But in the rehearsal, my guitar, you know, made zero sound through the microphone.
It already happened?
Yeah.
Wow.
Yeah, and Hakko people came to check my guitar and, "Oh, I guess that's broken."
What?
How did you overcome that?
So I just rent the guitar from Naru-chan.
Oh, okay.
So we switched the guitars and...
I see, I see.
Yeah.
So you guys didn't have any scene where you both use the guitar.
Yeah.
That was good.
That was lucky.
Yeah.
Yeah.
But including all that, you know.
Yeah.
So fun and so memorable.
Yeah.
Quite a moment.
It's good.
Yeah.
It's good, it's good.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Are you guys planning on doing it again?
Yeah.
Next time in the future?
Yeah, of course.
But not soon, I guess.
Not soon, okay.
Why not soon?
I mean...
It was a huge journey?
Yeah, yeah.
Want a little rest?
Yeah.
And also we have to make, you know, new songs the next live, so take a rest.
Let me see.
Yeah, but maybe in the next year, like six or seven months from now.
I see.
Yeah.
Okay.
Yeah, but it was so fun.
Yeah.
All right.
That's cool.
All right.
Yeah.
Thanks for listening, guys.
Thank you.
Bye-bye.
All right.
Yeah.
Bye-bye.
