So she's now 18 and just graduated from the high school.
Yes.
She wanted to work abroad.
She wanted to go abroad, experience abroad.
But of COVID.
Did she say she wants to work abroad in the future?
No, just experience abroad, right?

For me, from my perspective,
what would be the best thing to do in your teens?
Whatever it is that you feel is right at that moment
with the information that you have is the right answer.
Right.
I think you'll agree with me on this.
Yeah, I agree with you.
Whatever, whatever, if you choose to stay in Japan and not do anything is also the right answer.
Whether if you get through the COVID situation and go abroad is also the right situation, right answer.
If you choose to go to college this year, that's also the right answer.
Because there is no alternative.
There is no "what ifs", right?
The choice you choose is the only one choice that you're going to make ever in your life.
So there's no point of looking back and thinking, "What if I've chosen this road?"
Because that's impossible to compare.
So whatever you feel is right in your heart at that moment.
Try to be honest to your heart.
Try to imagine yourself going this road, going this road, or going that road.
And whatever you honestly feel right.
And not to mention, don't get caught up in the insecurities and how other people would feel,
how other people would judge you maybe by making that decision.
The friends that I already have are going to college this year.
So if I don't go to college with them, maybe they might judge me.
Maybe they might think I'm not cool or not going down the right path.
And if you're afraid that they might think of that of you,
then if you really go deep down into it, that's not really important at all.
So whatever feels right in your heart is the right choice for your life.
Because it's your life.
Oh yeah.
Oh yeah!
Good words.
Thank you.
Yeah, yeah.
It's true. Completely agree with you.
So I feel that's...
Right.
After all, there must be some lessons.
If you take this way, you will learn something after that.
Right.
If you take this way, looking back after these days, those days,
you will learn something from whatever you chose.
You have chosen.
Yeah, you have chosen.
06:00
So if you just...
That's what you said, but if you haven't decided what you do next,
just think about that and stay at your house and spend time alone.
That's your days.
Right, right.
And after that, you are looking back at those days
and you will think about something and you will learn something from these days.
So there is no bad choices.
Like not wasting time, wasting days.
Just...
But you have to learn from these days.
Right, right, right.
Yeah.
Completely agree.
One of the interesting advice I've heard...
I've heard this from somebody, so it's not my original...
I thought it was interesting.
So when you are hesitating, right?
Which road should I take?
What decision should I go for?
Spend a whole day or maybe two or three, whatever is comfortable for you,
being isolated, like have nothing to do.
Okay.
Don't do social media.
Don't go on the internet.
Don't communicate with anybody.
Just be in your cocoon.
Okay.
Isolate yourself.
Have nothing to do.
Don't do anything.
Nothing.
To the extreme.
Okay.
And whatever comes first or like whatever comes naturally that you start wanting to do
is the thing that you want to do.
So like maybe you can experiment yourself in that situation
and that might give you some sort of a hint to discovering out your true self maybe.
Yeah.
Interesting, right?
Yeah.
That's nice.
It is.
Right.
And obviously maybe she has plenty of time right now
because she, you know, saying how so...
What she can do right now.
Right, right, right, right, right, right, right.
Right.
You know, we all kind of be rushed.
We have so many things that we have to do every day
and have not enough time to think about, like think deeply, like deep enough.
So that's really nice way.
That's right.
I actually want to try that too.
I haven't been able to try this, but like I've always...
It's been in corner of my mind for a long time and I wanted to try this.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Well, actually when I quit my company like one year ago,
I kind of did this, that.
A similar version of that?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Not that extreme level, but try to like have nothing in my day
09:05
and like literally do nothing.
Yeah.
What in my mind.
Right, see what comes naturally.
Yeah, right.
And I kind of find found that thing.
Gotcha.
So I do agree with you.
That's really nice way.
Maybe it could be none of the things that she listed.
Right.
Completely new.
Maybe it could be like surfing or like bird watching or like.
Right.
And if that turns out to be the answer, that's the answer.
So like, yeah, you know.
True, true, true.
And another thing is once you found that one thing,
then the next step is do it.
Like spend whole day doing that thing.
Like sometimes like have no nothing in the free time.
Maybe like surfing will be coming out in my mind.
You know, that happens.
Yeah, but the next day try surfing like whole day.
Yeah.
And maybe you'll find out actually this wasn't my thing.
Exactly.
Yeah, yeah.
So just just just think about that and try that and taste that.
See if that you're a real thing or not.
Right, right.
Got to taste it first.
Yeah.
That's also important, I think.
Exactly.
Exactly.
Yeah.
These topics are like really deep and interesting and really nice to discuss these things.
It is, right?
It is.
It is.
It's, yeah.
Yeah.
Like it's in a really she's she must be in a really like important part of her life.
But everybody is but like, you know, it's it's it's an honor for us to be giving advice
to like people who's in the midst of their right the problem.
And like, how?
Yeah.
We are like usual guys.
Yeah.
You know, we just like eat and sleep.
That's all we kind of like, it's an honor that you're asking for this kind of advice.
Right.
We'll never take it for granted.
Yeah.
Well, one thing that we can do we can say is that we are in a same track kind of.
Yeah.
We still like thinking about what we should do in our life and maybe that we are in the
same situation with with with her.
So that's maybe a good point for her.
Yeah.
Absolutely.
Mm hmm.
So all right.
Oh, that's nice timing.
12:00
And thanks for listening, guys.
Thank you.
Good luck with your life.
And we'll do the best we can with our lives.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And she will be in your class someday.
Oh, yeah.
Someday.
Right.
Say hello to her.
Yeah, I will.
Yeah.
