世界誰にでもインタビュー出来るとした誰をする?

Are you happy? Why and why not?

00:00
Welcome to Kevin's English Room Podcast!
Yay!
Right.
So...
Still here?
Yeah.
Still here?
This is Tom Misch, by the way.
You know this song?
Mm. The artist.
Who?
Tom Misch.
Tom Misch.
The favorite.
He is your favorite? Nice.
So the music taste fits you too.
Mm.
That's great.
Yeah.
It's a great place.
Lots of...
Wow.
Thanks.
I didn't think that those items would fit here.
So we're talking about adult goods.
Yeah.
Yeah. That was a little surprising.
Okay.
Alrighty.
So we have a topic here.
Mm.
Sent by Yuko-san.
Yuko-san.
Thank you.
I have one topic that I'd like to talk about.
About the radio program.
If you're interested, please pick it up.
If you have a chance to give an interview to someone who is famous or not,
or alive or not,
who would you want to talk with?
Wow.
And what would you ask him or her?
Mm.
That's a great question, you know?
Good question.
Great interview question.
Right.
Do you like interviewing?
I kind of do like interviewing.
Like I kind of do enjoy the people's perspective on life.
Right.
How they navigated.
Right.
Because I'm such a...
I go deep down into those kinds of topics which gets me interested in it.
So I kind of do like, you know,
interviewing is a lot about, you know,
talking about the person's life and how they made decisions.
Right.
So I do like talking...
Right.
I do like talking about that.
I like interviewing people in that sense.
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I do.
I actually said today, I kind of do want to interview a lot of people,
ask about their life.
It seems pretty interesting to me.
Mm-hmm.
Uh-huh.
Do you know Hot Ones?
Hot Ones.
Hot Ones?
They did a TV show called Hot Ones.
No.
Never seen it?
I think it's pretty famous.
It's on Japanese TV show?
No, it's Hot Ones.
It's a YouTube show.
Oh, YouTube show.
Right.
It's like a...
So it's an interview show.
Mm-hmm.
I love it.
I watch them a lot.
Okay.
So it's hosted by, I think Steve Evans.
Hmm.
Or he's a popular YouTuber.
Oh, it's Golden Ramsey, by the way.
Yeah.
Your favorite chef.
Exactly.
Favorite chef.
Um...
Wow.
So they do an interview.
Mm-hmm.
And they eat, they eat chicken.
03:04
Ah.
Wings, chicken wings.
Mm-hmm.
And as they move on, it levels up.
Mm-hmm.
The spiciness levels up until they can't handle it anymore.
Ah, yeah.
Yeah, that's the kind of the show.
I actually saw, like, similar thing...
Oh, really?
On James Corden's "Late Day" show.
Oh, really?
I think that's a mimic of the show.
But what is the goal?
I don't think they have a goal.
Ah.
They just eat spicy stuff.
Okay.
And they...
Yeah, right.
Okay, okay, okay.
Right.
Hmm.
Is the James Corden show, are you talking about the one they eat little, like, getemono stuff?
Is that what you're talking about?
No?
It's a different one?
Different one.
It was a getemono one and spicy one.
Ah, okay.
Got it, got it.
Yeah, so, yeah, I kind of, I think this is really interesting.
Right.
So, like, maybe I could do this with, maybe, like, eat pizza with somebody.
Yeah, that's great.
Yeah, that seems fun, right?
So, yeah.
Right.
Just want to get that.
Yeah.
So, back to the question.
Okay.
Who do you want to interview if you had the chance to?
Hmm.
Wow.
Hmm.
Oh, me too, actually.
I love listening to people's histories.
Yeah.
Hmm.
Are you thinking about someone famous or someone you actually, you know, but that's not famous,
or you haven't decided yet?
I haven't decided yet.
But, you know, I think I prefer the non-famous, usual living people.
Okay, okay.
Not the famous great people.
Like your friend from college.
Things like that?
That is a possibility.
Could.
I prefer, like, different ages.
Like, the old ladies around there.
Okay, okay.
You know?
Right, right, right.
Interesting, right?
Yeah.
I prefer the senior people, not the younger.
How?
Why so?
Because they've experienced more?
Yeah.
History, life history is long.
Right.
Like, longer than younger people, of course.
Yeah.
And have more teachers, lessons.
Yes.
Yes, yes, yes, yes.
I prefer listening to senior people.
Interesting, right?
Yeah.
These, like, little machans that are...
Right.
When I was in junior high, my junior high school was really close to my house, actually.
My house is here, in a little forest.
06:02
Little forest, yeah.
And I was walking through the forest and go to the junior high.
That was my tsuukakuro.
Yeah.
And through that forest, there was an old man.
Okay.
With always with his dog, called Kuro.
Kuro-chan, okay.
We called him Kuro.
We called, yeah, okay.
I never know what the actual name.
But, happily, we became a kind of friend with him.
And after my bukatsu, we finished at like, 18.
Yeah.
And I was with my soccer friends and walked through that forest.
And we always met him.
Okay.
And he started to talk about his life history.
Okay.
And it was, it took like one, two hours.
And we were like always listening to his story.
And it was so fun.
Okay.
You know, sometimes it was a little boring, though.
Okay.
But it was so fun.
Okay.
So like what was it about?
It was about his life.
Like how he lived.
Okay.
And also about the war.
War.
Okay.
Okay.
He went to a war.
He survived it.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So he told me about all those experiences.
Uh-huh.
Uh-huh.
Yeah.
He repeats, repeats, and repeats the same story again and again.
Right.
And he repeats it again and again.
Right.
But that was kind of funny to me.
Uh-huh.
Uh-huh.
Yeah.
So is it the, was it the struggle with his life that got you interested?
Or was it like the lessons that he learned that got you interested?
Or is it like what he loves to do right now that's interesting for you?
What aspect of that, of his?
That's a good question.
What was it that got you interested?
Maybe the way he talks about his life.
The way he talks about his life.
Right now.
I mean that, in that moment.
Uh-huh.
Uh-huh.
He looked like really happy.
Okay.
You know, he told the really heavy struggling life episode.
Right.
But at the time he was kind of, and, but I am living now with my little dog.
Uh-huh.
You know, that was kind of fun to me.
He's enjoying the humble.
Yeah.
Quiet life.
Yeah.
And although he had experienced all these tough stuff.
Uh-huh.
Uh-huh.
But live happily at the end of his life in a forest.
Speaking to the young children and kind of.
So maybe it overlaid with your future desire.
Right.
Right.
And the way that you want to live.
Yeah.
You know.
That's right.
Maybe.
Maybe, maybe.
Yeah.
Like a little nature kind of place.
Yeah.
09:00
Maybe with a dog maybe.
Maybe.
Uh-huh.
And I really want to speak to a little younger.
Uh-huh.
Children.
Oh, you're going to be one of those ojiichan where you like repeat stories every day.
Yeah.
Right.
This is interesting.
Yeah.
How about you?
Do you have any toys?
I would, uh.
Hmm.
So I wouldn't, I probably wouldn't go for someone in the past.
Hmm.
I really am.
I really do look into the future more, I think.
Yeah.
So like I would go for someone who's alive right now that I'm interested.
Um, I would maybe I'll ask, um.
The most famous people.
I would ask the most famous.
Who is that guy?
I don't, I don't know.
Maybe I don't know who, who is the most famous guy.
That's Trump.
Not government.
More like in pop culture.
Pop culture.
Yeah.
Like in the celebrity world.
And I want to ask them after you've gotten your fame, you've gotten your money, you can
do whatever you want.
Maybe Justin Bieber or something like that.
Okay.
Like Bruno Mars or something like that.
After you've gotten everything that you wanted, what do you want?
Like I want to ask them if you're happy or not.
Like what's the thing that I'm sure before you got all your fame, um, all those flashlights
and like dollars and the bank accounts and like the, the, the celebrity life must've
been something that was, you know, stardom to, it was something that you wanted for yourself.
But like after you've gotten them now, how do you feel about it?
And like, are you satisfied with your life?
What do you, what do you don't like about it?
And like, and I want to like study the ultimate kind of like happiness.
Like if you, from the people who've actually gotten it.
Yeah.
So, wow.
Maybe that's because you are in the road.
Exactly.
Right.
Pursuing my happiness.
So like I want to, yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Right.
And Justin Bieber.
Justin Bieber.
Who is the most famous and that's a good question.
You know, probably not Justin Bieber.
I'm sure there's someone who is more.
Okay.
Maybe Justin Bieber is a good shot.
Yeah.
Like I've never met anyone who doesn't know Justin Bieber.
Right.
Mariah Carey, that's a pretty big one.
Yeah.
Mariah Carey.
Right.
Yeah.
So that's what I would ask.
Please do that.
12:01
Yeah, I want to.
Yeah.
If I start a interview show, maybe someday I'll have someone who's extremely famous
and I'll get to ask that question.
Right.
It will be an interesting one.
It will be a really interesting interview show.
Yeah.
Maybe I would, maybe I should start an interview show where I ask people if they're happy or
not.
Okay.
That's nice.
Ask them what they want.
That's a really good show to start.
Ask people if they're happy and what do they want now.
Okay.
And that's an interesting topic.
That's a really interesting show.
That is an interesting show.
Yeah.
I think right now the very I can think of is like they're not comfortable enough to
open up.
Right.
Right.
Yeah, but still.
Still, it's interesting, right?
Yeah.
I think there's so many people that who has have interests.
That's other people's.
That is so interesting.
Maybe I just, maybe I just might start that.
Yeah.
That's great.
That was great.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Just got an idea.
All right.
